Fierce momentum

Boom! Crackle!

The sound of rushed footsteps continued to ring into the dark sky as feeling figures disappeared into the darkness, a trace of panic amidst their heavy grunts.

Bang!

A massive fist descended like heavenly punishment, seemingly drawing from the laws of the world to empower itself.

"What the fuck is that thing! Where is the commander? Why has no one noticed this fucking thing!" a hysterical cry exploded amidst the cacophony of noise.

"AHHHHHHH!" BOOM!

Another body flew past, streaking across the camp before smashing into a wall with enough force to make the foundations of the nearby buildings quake. Horror slowly seeped into the bodies of the guards as they watched their fellow comrades being treated like weightless sandbags.

A four-armed demon strode forward, neither quick nor slow, yet they couldn't help but feel like they could never escape. Every step that monster took had the illusion of being able to cover hundreds of meters. As if they were stuck in a nightmare. Its purple eyes sending shivers down their spine.

"Fuck! If we can't run, then we might as well fight!" a guard yelled suddenly. A ripple rumbled through the crowd as resolve began to bubble up within them. Even a rabbit will bite back when cornered.

"Right, your right! Psychic team forward. it's clearly a Machamp, pure fighting type. Ghost team, provide support and sneak attacks. Ranged teams provide cover fire to stall its movements! Defence team make sure to intercept its blows. Everybody, move-move, we only have one chance!" a baritone voice yelled a string of commands. His words visibly calmed the entire camp down as they once again began to show the appearance of a cohesive and well-trained unit.

THUMP THUMP

Machamp's heavy footsteps weighing several tons, caused mud to shoot into the air. An amused smirk on its face as it watched the unit move with conviction and the resolve to bring it down.

Everyone's eyes were lasered onto its body, and the mere act of walking caused minute muscle spasms to shoot through its body that was full of power and the desire to maim. The relaxed movements of its arms caused the very air to become turbid and restless, as if a meteor had passed by.

Momentary apprehension flashed through their eyes before being swallowed up by steely resolve.

"Psychic team use psychic! Ghost team use shadow sneak! ranged team use water moves! Defence team use iron defence into quick guard, defend those carries!" again, that sturdy voice rang out amidst the thunder and rain.

As if a giant machine had been brought to life, the entire unit moved as fluidly as water. A massive wave of psychic energy crashed down onto Machamp, followed by the attacks of the ghost types as sharp blades and limbs imbued with the power of shadows struck.

BANG BANG!

Cannons rang out as massive torrents of water taking different shapes crashed down on its mountainous frame.

Last to move were huge bulky shadows carrying monstrous momentum as they planted their tree trunk-like feet into the ground, like mobile fortresses with the sole mission of withstanding any impact thrown their way.

[HAHAHAHAH! Yes-Yes, struggle! STRUGGLE!] A demonic voice exploded out from Machamp's body, causing visible tremors to spread through every living soul in the area. It all happened in a split moment; blink and they would have missed it. from the mist emerged four enormous hands wrapped in steel wire-like muscle, firmly grasping the heads of the once towering fortresses that made up the front line. No matter if it was Blastoise, Venusuar, Nidoking or Golem, they were effortlessly lifted off the ground.

Finally, the massive 4-meter-tall body emerged in all its glory, a god on earth. Now in close proximity, they could finally feel the suffocating aura Machamp tried so hard to suppress. As if it attempted to snuff out the light in all living beings. A primal fear so deeply ingrained that it reached their very souls flared up like a raging inferno within the four, so potent that they began to mindlessly rampage, hysterically scratching at the hands grasping onto them.

Everyone watched as the mad titan squatted down before shooting into the air where it spun once, using the momentum it generated to blast them towards the other three groups like artillery fire. The several dozen tons of weight it threw seemed as weightless as pebbles in a winding tornado.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Massive tidal waves of dust rose up and crashed into the now-ruined camp. The unconscious bodies of dozens of Pokémon strewn all over the place came into view as a cold gust of wind made the scene visible. In one single attack, a unit of 40 specially trained Pokémon was wiped out, leaving their respective trainers slack-jawed and frozen in fear.

They all stared at the floating figure in the sky that continued to shatter their worldview with its presence. The last thing they remembered was a ripple in their minds, like the sweetest dream calling them back before everything faded into black.

BOOM!

Like a meteor, Machamp fell to the ground, sending quacks in every direction. From the corner came a pair. A white-haired youth and a never before seen purple creature hovering several inches off the ground with its eyes closed.

"Well done, Mewtwo. Anything useful from the memories?" Rex asked as he observed the final result. He silently gave Machamp a fist bump and shared a pacing grin as he spoke.

(Yes, these are the league 3rd generation guard squad. They are trained specifically for guarding target locations, with a special focus on Pokémon selection for optimal defence and offence.)

Rex stared at the silent ruins, "I mean, they were definitely well-trained. Even when assaulted by Machamp, they were able to quickly regroup and mount an assault. Commendable…"

[Hmph, don't even start Rex, if you hadn't told me to withhold my aura, my mere presence would have knocked them out.]

Rex stared at him and sighed, "what would be the fun in that? At least this way, we can judge how well-trained they are. It would have been embarrassing if they all simply ran away. At least I can respect them now. The courage to continue pressing on is hard to forge in the face of unbeatable odds." He lectured while wagging his finger as he stepped over an unconscious guard.

"Erase their memory and let's go," he said calmly before walking forward at a leisure pace.
