Back to Lavender town

[ability: when using the move rain dance, the clouds created will have a 'holy' effect placed on them as seen by the golden clouds. The ability allows the user to use electric moves from any distance, with 100% accuracy. The moves no longer have to come from the Pokémon itself. But instead comes from the sky. The moves are further boosted with a 200% damage increase. This can be seen by the white lightning.

Additionally, all moves regardless of typing have a 35% chance of completely paralysing the opponent. naturally, the strength of the opponent does factor in. the closer they are to the user's power level the less they are affected by the status effect.

Thunder spikes: it's exactly like toxic spikes, it has a 100% chance of paralysing the target. It can also affect flying Pokémon which deals a flat amount of damage. Far from enough to KO a Pokémon, but enough to hurt.

Misty explosion: The user attacks everything around it and faints upon using this move. This move's power is increased on Misty Terrain.

Death Angels kiss: a move that deals 300% physical attack damage that ignores typing and defence stats. Cannot be blocked, when the user uses this move, the target can no longer dodge and must face it head-on. This move does have a drawback however, the user must forfeit half of their Hp to use the move. Hp is based on full health and not current health. So, the user must be careful.] it explained.

Rex was astounded by the information. That was a very strong Pokémon indeed. Still not on the level of Machamp or Steelix, he was off by a long shot, but he was still closer. Maybe he could survive wheel of reincarnation… maybe.

Elesa was awed by Zapdos and ran forward to hug the electrified bird. Rex had to quickly stop her before his girlfriend fried herself.

"Where are you going? You'll kill yourself if you hug him now," he said while chopping her head in a reprimanding tone. Elesa pouted and rubbed her head and turned to Zapdos who had just landed on the ground and dispersed the lightning. Zapdos nodded gratefully for saving his clumsy trainer.

Rex chuckled slightly and waved him off before pushing the still grumpy Elesa towards her new and improved holy chicken. Elesa instantly brightened and rubbed her head on Zapdos's chest which had fluffy feathers. He was even warm to the touch which surprised her.

"Ok, now that everything is done. You should be fine, honestly, I doubt the Pokémon I gave you will be needed, Zapdos is far above the standard at this point. So, you shouldn't face much trouble. But just in case, take him anyway. I still have some urgent things to deal with, so let's get back to the city so I can say goodbye," he said with a smile.

It was true, Zapdos could probably steamroll through the majority of the Pokémon in a region at this point. Only a rare few could probably even stand a chance at fighting him. Naturally, if there was actually something the current Zapdos couldn't handle, Steelix in his 'I'm going to rip you a new one' mode will handle it with ease. So he really had nothing to worry about.

Elesa nodded joyfully and recalled Zapdos semi reluctantly and hopped back on the bike behind Rex as they made their way back to the city. 20 minutes later, they arrived at the airport.

"This is where we part. Although I feel our meeting was far too short, we both have things we need to deal with. I'll make sure to fix everything and meet you in Viridian city." Elesa said as she hugged Rex while looking up at him.

Rex smiled and kissed her forehead, "It's fine, we will have plenty of time to be together when you get back. There are still a few months before the League begins." He said optimistically. Elesa nodded and her spirits were raised when she heard his reasoning. They said their goodbyes and waved at each other one last time before separating ways.

Rex walked out of the airport and was instantly soaked by the heavy downpour. After all, the storm he had used for the evolution had finally started. But he didn't mind and hopped back on his bike and headed for lavender town where the gateway to the ghost dimension was located. That was where the system had told him the legacy was located.

He was eager to know what Marshadow would look like and how powerful he would become. A massive line of water trailed behind him as he sped through the streets and into the wide-open road.

It took him three whole days to get to Lavender town due to some complications along the way. there was an accident involving a series of wild Pokémon in the area. Nobody knew the cause of the event, but the police cautioned everyone to stay alert and travel safely.

Rex wondered what the cause of the event was.

[system has used satellite imagery. There seems to have been a big unrest near the centre of the forest near lavender town. Ghost Pokémon have begun to turn hyper-aggressive and are moving towards the town. Coincidentally. It also matches with the time Marshadow tried to evolve. The system believes that the two events have a correlation. Something big is happening inside the ghost domain. It is suggested that the host speeds up his travel time and gets Marshadow to the destination.]

Rex was slightly surprised, it seems that Marshadow may have set off something in the ghost domain that is causing all the ghost Pokémon to become hyperactive. Sadly, he would not be able to do much more than simply get Marshadow to the destination. The rest would be on him.
