Arriving in Viridian once again

Everyone went into the customized pokeballs as Mordred opened up a portal that looked like a whirlpool of black and green. It was pitch black inside, but Rex didn't hesitate to walk through. Instantly, he felt like his insides were twisting and churning. It was incredibly uncomfortable.

BAM

The next second, he fell to the ground on the other side and puked all over the floor.

"Fuck, that is not a pleasant experience," he mumbled with a grimace.

[you'll get used to it eventually,] Mordred said casually. He was immune since he was a ghost and the user of the ability.

Rex recovered rather quickly and straightened his back. He climbed the tallest hill and looked down at the small town where his journey had begun several months back.

Mordred seeped into Rex's shadow as usual, and Rex walked towards the town at a relaxed pace.

He was in a simple white dress shirt with the top two buttons undone, black dress pants and some dress shoes.

He soon arrived at the town, but the chatter caused cold sweat to drip down his back.

"Did you hear about what happened yesterday? The news has been covering it all day. A continent destroyer class meteor descended on top of Kanto. They brought in a scientist that specialised in reading the trajectory of meteors and making sure that we have enough time to react to any incoming danger. But he didn't have any answers. He was as baffled as we were." Said an older man.

"Yeah, I did hear that, he said it simple appeared out of nowhere. There was no sighting of an incoming meteor of this size at all. But what I'm baffled about is how it suddenly exploded. there was only a ray of light in the sky before it suddenly erupted into millions of little pieces.

And then a massive wall of water covered the coastal regions saving the cities close by. It's all too confusing and scary. I can't believe something like this happened and we're still alive to talk about it." Said another man.

Rex who heard this instantly got Gaia to make sure that any video's that might have sighted his Pokémon were deleted immediately. But it seemed that nobody had the time to do such a thing when their lives were about to end. It really went to show how absurd Mordred's power had become.

Having averted a crisis, he exited through the other gate after getting some supplies such as food for him and his Pokémon. Even though they barely received any benefit anymore, it was the highest quality food out there.

He hopped on his dirt bike and rode towards Viridian City. It would only take about a day to get there simply because he wasn't walking. As he sped through the forest, memories of his first encounter with the Ratata's and raticate's appeared. A small smile tugged at his lips. It was a very fun time. starting out his journey with only his little friend Machop. It was all so different now.

Soon, the heart of Kanto, the biggest city in the region came into view. This was where everyone who wanted to go to Kanto came to stay first. It was the equivalent to the capital city. The gate was still manned by Officer Jenny who he had once gotten a number from. He felt slightly guilty about it, but he couldn't stay for long. So, he never called her. But interestingly enough, she didn't seem to remember him.

'Seems looks aren't enough to remember a person.' Rex didn't seem to care; it was better this way. It avoided the awkward interactions. He got the all-clear and was swiftly allowed inside. The same bustling streets full of people came into view.

The brightly lit streets, the stands full of different foods, the stores selling anything, and everything littered the streets.

It was a major difference from the other cities he had been in and even more so the wilderness. It had been a long time since he had come here. He saw some Team Rocket grunts which he tried to avoid as to not alert Giovanni. A hard thing to do considering he pretty much owns the city. Or at least has a big influence in it.

But by deleting surveillance footage and avoiding the rocket grunts with the help of the system, he was able to stay undetected.

But there was nothing to be concerned about even if he was spotted. Rex seriously doubted anyone could beat him with his current line-up. Unless people can throw meteors out of the sky, shoot laser beams or split the earth with a single punch, then there was nothing to be worried about, he just wanted to avoid unnecessary trouble.

The only thing he was looking forward to doing was challenging the gym, killing Giovanni and taking all the assets of Team Rocket. After that, he would wait for that man to show up. He had previously tried to get Gaia to find traces or even located the whereabouts of the man but it was to no avail. somehow, Gaia couldn't get to him at all. It went through all the satellites and found some unknown ones, but to Rex's shock, it couldn't reach them. Gaia speculated that they weren't running on the same technology. Rex knew for sure that these satellites were the ones they were using. but he had no way to currently access them. He had Gaia analyse them but it would take a very long time based on exterior analysis. It would be better to retrieve one. but Gaia identified rocket boosters on them. meaning they could move at any time so it was harder than expected.

He thought about sending Steelix up but that was not only too conspicuous but not convenient. He would be spotted way before he got there and the satellites would move accordingly. second, it would expose a trump card he was currently keeping secret. it was not smart to expose it so soon at no gain whatsoever. so for now, there wasn't much he could do. All he could do is get some info from the man coming after him.

So, there was no point in fussing over it. He was as prepared as he would ever be.

And since that was the case, he pulled out his phone and called Elesa.
