Connor and Yasmine leave as they have to visit her mom. Ivan and Declan follow afterwards, leaving Tinsely, Evelyn, Michael and I behind.
The thunder strikes outside and soon a heavy downpour takes over the silence in the room.
Michael and I sit in the living room while Evelyn and Tinsely wash the dishes.
/"You better take care of my sister, Archer. She's been through enough already. Don't break her heart again./" Michael quietly says those words but they echo in my ears.
/"I won't./" I assure him but it does nothing to his hard expressions.
/"Or else I'll destroy you. You're not the only one who's got money./"
I've seen his stuff around Evelyn's apartment. The guy is loaded.
/"But I'm definitely one who's got more than you./"
That earns me a sharp glare.
/"Dickhead./" He mutters and picks up his phone, a clear sign that he's done talking to me.
