And Then There Was One

As we sit at the table Leos' hand is laying on my thigh. His uncle, Giorfio, has a short talk and then there is Andre. He says :" Even if none of us like Leo, we all have to agree, he always brings someone good looking with him. First there was his mom, then couple of other girls and now Jenna. I mean of course she doesn't outshine me but... She is close." I roll my eyes and Leo lets go of my thigh and stands up. He yells :" Andre. My least favourite cousin, is going to tell my girlfriend, of two years, that he is more beautiful then she is. Other than the fact that you always have a lot of women around you I can't find any other proof of you being attractive." I grab Leo's shoulder and push him :" What do you think you're doing!?" He whispers :" I am not going to let this piece of shit treat us like that." I try to calm him down and say :" He was just joking, it's not a big deal." Andre continues :" At least I don't bring two different girls here every month!" Wait a minute. What did he just say? My jaw drops and I start looking at the octopus on my plate. My eyes get filled with tears as I try to utter :" No. No. You, you wouldn't do that to me I know you! Right Leo?! Tell me it isn't true. Tell me that you didn't do it." When he turns his face away I know, it's true. These two years of lying meant nothing to him. I feel so used. And so dumb. Why didn't I think of that? All of the weekends that he had full and all of the evenings that he said will spend with the boys, he was sleeping with someone else. I stand up and feel dizzy. I slap him as much as I can and his face expresses complete disbelief. I scream :" Why would you do that?! How?!" and rush to the toilet. Why me?
