20 Chapter 20

As we reach the house, we both hear a voice calling to us accompanied by fast falling footsteps. We both turn and see Tucker running towards us at full speed. I unnoticeably take a step to the side because I already know what is coming. Christopher is taken off guard when the little boy doesn't slow down as he nears us and launches himself straight into Christopher's arms, almost knocking him down from the momentum The kid had. Tuck giggles as his dad tries to catch his breath from the impact of the little body that barreled into him. Tucker may be small, but that boy packs punch.

"How was your trip with mommy, daddy?" Tucker asks as Christopher fixes his placement on his side.

"It was good. Did you behave for Grandma and Grandpa?" Christopher asks in the same tone as Tucker. Tucker nods his head as we enter the house.

"Put me down, daddy. I need to go get something to show you," Tuck says as he squirms in his dad's arms to get down. Christopher sets him down and he runs off.

"I need to tell my parents about him," Christopher says before looking at me. "That means I will have to tell them what happened between us. Just that we divorced."

I look down for a moment at the memory of that night before nodding in agreement. "I am surprised you didn't tell them already."

"Well, I didn't because they were one of the ones who said you only wanted me for my money," he tells me. I look at him in shock. His parents made me believe that they actually liked me so this is a punch to the gut. Christopher sees my shock and hurt as he pulls me to him. I let him hold me for a moment before I step away.

"Well at least now they will know that is far from true," I tell him. "I do think it's a good idea to tell them about Tuck because he is their grandchild."

Christopher looks at me before he pulls out his phone. "Will you come with me? Both of you?" I look at him in uncertainty and he quickly tells me what his plan is. "Don't worry. I will go in first and you two stay outside of the room. When it is time, I will call out for you both to come in."

Thinking of Tucker and getting to know his dad's family as well, I decide that I can't be in the way of him getting to know his family. "Okay, we will go. Just let me know when." Christopher smiles as his phone dings. Looking down at it, I see his face fall slightly. "What's wrong?"

Christopher looks at me with apologetic eyes. "That would be my mother asking if tonight is fine? I didn't tell her you two are coming with so it would be a surprise. They got back from Paris this morning."

Thinking for a moment, I see my mom walk out of the living room. "I think you should go. It's only right to give them the chance to meet Tuck," she says as she passes by like she didn't say a word. Well I guess that settles it.

"Okay, set it up. I do warn you though, one cross word and we leave," I tell Christopher as he messaged his mother back.

He looks up at me, "I already was planning to do the exact same thing. If they can't be nice, then they will miss out on something great." He sends his message and puts his phone back in his pocket when we hear Tuckers footsteps approaching us.

Running over to Christopher, he hands him a piece of paper that has a drawing on it. "I drew this while you were gone for a little bit." I walk over to see what he drew as Christopher looks at it in awe. "This is me, this is you, and this is mommy." Tucker points to his drawing to indicate which one we are.

"This is amazing. Who are the rest in the picture?" Christopher asks him, motioning to the other stick figures.

"That's Grandma and Grandpa, Uncle Jaxon and Aunt Megan, Uncle Hux, and Uncle Grayson. I also left room to put my other grandparents when I get to meet them," Tucker says as he points out everyone else that he drew.

Christopher looks at our son and gives him a smile. "You will soon. I actually wanted to ask you something. How would you feel about meeting them tonight?"

"I would love that," Tucker squeals. "Is mommy coming too?"

I nod at him which causes him to jump up and down in excitement. "I'm so excited. When can we leave?"

"We will be leaving here in a few hours," Christopher says while he smiles at the ball of excitement in front of him.

Tucker suddenly stops and his face gets blank face as he looks at his dad. "What if they don't like me?"

"They will love you sweetie," I tell him as I bend down to his level.

He looks at me with the same expression as he thinks about what to say next. "What if they don't like you, mommy?"

"I am not the one that matters baby. As long as they love you and treat you nicely, then that is enough for me," I tell him as I place a hand on his cheek. This little boy continues to amaze me. Out of everything, he is still thinking about me and my feelings.

Tucker looks at me for a minute before he turns to Christopher. "We will go, but I want only one thing."

Christopher looks at him like he was ready to give him the world before he bends down next to me. "What would that be?"

Tuck looks at Christopher with a serious expression that makes everyone know that he does belong to me. "If they don't like mommy then I want to leave. We are a package deal. They can't have one and not the other."

I look at Christopher who is looking at our son with thoughtfulness. "Deal. If something happens, we will all leave and come back here. Sound good, little boss?"

With a thinking look, Tuck nods his head before running off. I stand back up at the same time as Christopher before heading into the living room. We sit down on the couch and talk for a while before Tuck comes in wanting to watch cartoons.

It was finally time to leave to go to Christopher's parents house for them to meet Tucker. Christopher had his driver come pick us up to take us across town to the nice little suburb that they live in. The closer we got, the more anticipation I could see in Tuckers eyes.

The car finally pulls in front of the two story house that I haven't seen in a long time. The last time I was here was for Richard's, Christopher's father, birthday. That day ended with Hilary, his mother, accusing me of blowing all of Christopher's money. Even then she didn't really like me for some reason. Richard was actually the one who was nice to me. He would always be apologizing for Hilary's shenanigans.

When we walk in, Christopher shows us where to stand before going into the living room at the back of the house. They chose to use that room for the living room instead of the dinning room, which is at the front of the house.

"Hey mom and dad. How was your trip?" I hear Christopher say as I start to get nervous. I am not necessarily nervous about seeing them. It is how this could go with their reaction to the news. Tucker takes my hand in his as he looks at me with encouragement. It should be the other way around with me encouraging him.

"It was great. How was everything here?" Hilary says in a cheerful voice.

"Eventful. That is one of the reasons I wanted to come visit. I have something to tell you both?" Christopher says in a tone that I know all to well. He normally uses it with his employees when he is warning them to behave or do what he instructs.

"What is it, son? Are you finally going to marry that Chelsea girl?" I hear Richard say with excitement in his voice. I want to barf at the fact that he thinks she is a good match for his son.

"No and that will never happen," Christopher says in disgust. I can only imagine his facial reaction to that question.

"Then what is it, son?" Hilary asks with curiosity.

"You can come in," Christopher says. Here we go. Looking at Tucker, we start to enter the room.

"Did you finally find a decent girl to mar..." Hilary's sentence fades as she sees me walk into the living room. She glances at Tucker before looking at me in anger. "What are you doing here?"

Christopher walks over to Tucker and me before he turns to his mom while taking a protective stance in front of me. I find it kind of funny he thinks I need protecting especially with what he witnessed this morning.

"Now, mom, before you start..." Christopher starts to say before he is cut off by Hilary.

"You tell us that you have news that was exciting but you bring this gold digging slut in here. I already told you that she was after your money and didn't really love you. Now, here she is with a kid that is most likely not yours. Is that what she told you? That this little boy is yours? Did you have a DNA test done? She is not even worthy of..." Hilary rants before she is cut off by Richard. He has been staring at Tucker in shock since we walked in. I feel Tucker squeezing my hand through the whole speech Hilary just made to Christopher.

"Hilary, be quiet and actually look at the child. Look at him and tell me what you see," Richard says as his eyes glisten with tears. Hilary jerks her head around to look at Tucker, which made him step behind me a little bit, before her expression turns to shock.

"He looks just like Christopher. His eyes and hair are exactly the same," she says as she looks at Tucker. She turns to Christopher and started questioning him again. "Who is his mother? You should have her here instead of this trash."

Christopher looks at his mother in anger as Richard does the same before he stands up out of the chair he was in. "Mom, I will not have you continue to talk about the mother of my child like that. Natalia is his mother."

"How long have you known about him? He looks to be around four or five. Are you telling me that you kept our grandson from us for that long? I thought that you divorced five years ago?" Hilary starts accusing Christopher.

"I found out about him yesterday. I had not seen Natalia until..." Christopher starts before his mom blows up.

"WHAT? Are you saying that you didn't know?" she yells before turning to me. "What was your plan? To try to trap him into getting back with you? If that is true then you have another thing coming. My son will not go back to you even if you have a child with him. I have heard about your cheating ways with some rich guy back then. Did he finally figure out he wasn't the dad and kick you out?"

My face stays blank through her whole speech which had Christopher looking at me with fear. He has always seen me have some type of reaction to accusations or insults. From what he has witnessed in the last 24 hours, he knows that me keeping a blank face in such a situation is not good. My insides are fuming at what she just said and the fact that she said all of that in front of Tucker who is now standing in front of me protectively.

"Don't speak about my mommy like that, mean lady?" Tucker says in what he must think is a menacing tone.

Hilary looks at him in amusement before sticking her hand out to him. "I'm not a mean lady, little one. Your mommy is the one who is the mean liar here."

"Mother!" Christopher says at the same time as Richard yells, "Hilary!"

I put my hand on Tuckers shoulder as I step around his small frame to put him behind me towards Christopher. Taking a few steps until I right in front of her, I lean lightly towards her stiff frame with blazing eyes.

"You will not talk to my son like that anymore. When you are near him, if that even happens after today, you will not bad mouth me or say anything about what happened before he was even born. Do you understand me?" I tell her in a hard tone.

Hilary just looks at me in amusement before she laughs. "You really think that you scare me? I am not even in the same social class as you. You are beneath me and can't do anything to me. There is also the fact that my son will get custody of the boy and you will never see him again."

I stare at her for a moment before Christopher states, "I will not, nor will I ever, take our son from his mother. Uprooting the only home has known is not my wish."

Hilary looks over at Christopher before looking at me again. "Have you been sleeping with him again? A low life like you is not worthy of my son. How about you do us all a favor and take your gold digging self somewhere to prey on another rich man and leave my son alone. We will make sure that the boy will know who is real dad is and not some man that you have been tricking the first years of his life."

I look her in the eyes and I see her flinch a little from the intensity of my stare. "First of all, I have not slept with Christopher since we were married. If anyone knows who has been near my body in that manner, it's me. There also has not been any man that was tricked into thinking my son was his. My family has been the ones that he has been around since he came into this world. And for the matter of social status, you're right. We aren't in the same social class," I tell her as I inch closer to her. She looks at me with a triumphant look. Oh honey, you won't be feeling that way for much longer. I get a close to her face before I deliver the truth about myself to her since she apparently hasn't seen any of the papers or the news. "I am above your status."

"I thought that your family was dead? How could you be above me when you have nothing?" Hilary asks defensively.

I smirk at her in a way that has her looking at me in question. "Actually, my family is alive and well. I hid my family and background to find someone who love me for who I am and not who my family is. Have you not seen the news?" I ask her. She shakes her head as Richard is looking at me with curiosity. "Let me formally introduce myself to you then. My name is Natalia Anderson, the daughter of Darius and Isabella Anderson, the owners of Anderson Records and Company."

Hilary steps back in shock. "You're lying. There is now way that you are the daughter of the most influential man in Nashville."

I smirk deeper as I look over to Richard. "Turn on Channel 5 News. The even from last night has been running nonstop all day as well as almost every news channel in the country."

Richard grabs the remote and turns the tv to Channel 5. The screen shows the beginning of the announcement my parents performed last night. Both of Christopher's parents stare at the tv with different reactions when I was announced. Richard is watching with a smile on his face as Hilary is looking at the screen in shock. The scene ends before Hilary turns back to me. One thing that is playing on my mind is, how did she know that I was accused of cheating.

"You see, I was under the assumption that you didn't know why Christopher and I got a divorce. However, you just said what the reason, even if it was false, was that separated us. My question is, who told you?"

Hilary looks at Christopher before she answers. "Chelsea told me after it happened. She even showed me pictures to prove it."

I look at Christopher when she says this. There is more copies of the pictures?

"Well let me make this clear. The man beside me in those pictures is my brother. The one from the club is of him and my sister-in-law, the couple you just watched on the tv that entered first. I was always faithful to him and I was never after his money. Why would I be after his money when I am the heir to the most powerful company in the city?" I inform her. I take a step back and walk over to Christopher and Tucker. "Now that that has been said, here is the big introduction. Tucker meet your dads parents, Richard and Hilary Lane. You both meet Tucker Anderson."

Richard steps forward and kneels down to Tucks level. "It is such an honor to meet you, Tucker. I am your grandpa."

Tucker studies him for a moment before he holds his hand out. "It's nice to meet you too."

Richard's smile goes from ear to ear as he shakes Tuckers hand before he turns to me. "You have done great with him, my child. He is so beautiful." Richard gives me a hug before he hugs Christopher as well.

Hilary stays across the room as she looks at Tucker. "And I am your grandma. It is a pleasure to meet you."

"I wish I could say the same," Tucker states as he stares at her. Turning to his dad, he says "I like grandpa Richard. He has been nice to mommy but the mean lady has not."

I try to hold in the laugh at his words. Normally, I would get on to him for being disrespectful to people but with what he just witnessed as well as the words said about him at the beginning, I am not even going to worry about it. Maybe, just maybe, Hilary will now see where her attitude has gotten her.

Before Christopher could say anything, a woman walks in wearing a very inappropriate dress. "I'm sorry I'm late Hilary. I had a hard time choosing what to wear to meet your son," the woman says.

What the hell?
