Chapter 7

{Host Alaric, please choose your store facility}

"store facility?"

{Please select the facility of your choice from the following list; Potion Hall, Greenhouse, Cultivation Room, Pet Incubation Chamber, Blacksmith, or Scroll Making Hall}

As I thought about what this store was, I couldn't help thinking what this store would contain. And as if it could read my mind I soon received an answer.

{The store will consist of training beasts, selling ingredients found in various cultivation grounds, and selling pet food. Upon upgrading various new options will appear such as, selling pets}

"I pick… the greenhouse"

{Greenhouse chosen, please select your beginner beast to contract with}

As this message appeared six beasts appeared in front of me. There was a black Jaguar cub, a white Wolf pup, a brown Bear cub, a yellow Snake, a grey Falcon, and a big Tarantula. I was very careful to stay very far from the spider, due to my arachnophobia. And of coarse I couldn't help loving cute things. As a child growing up I knew what beast I wanted, it needed to be loyal and cute.

After making my decision, all the beasts disappeared except one; the wolf. Who could possibly resist a puppy. The wolf pup was all white with one blue eye and one purple, it had sharp iron claws brought about by the evolution of the world.

When I looked to the side to see what my sister had chosen, I was slightly surprised to see the Jaguar cub walk up to her. I decided to ask, "What decision did you make for the facility?"

"I picked the potion brewing one, although I am a bit nervous as I have no idea how to make a potion,"

{In order to officially claim your first beast, you must form the contract}

As the system Jericho stated this in our minds, I felt a flood of information appear in my mind leaving a slight headache. It was instructions on how to form a contract with a beast, which was surprisingly different from the one used by normal beast tamers. Normally you'd use an actual contract in which both sides must agree by leaving their signature or paw print, binding them through the use of magic runes. The one given by Jericho was different in that you had to form a weird symbol on the beasts head using blood from your pierced finger. It was a weird curved T above an X with the top connected with a line 友.

Although my knowledge was limited when it came to beast tamers, upon forming the contract I couldn't help being baffled with the difference. Above my beast their was now a status bar listed (NAME, HP: 100%) in addition, I could feel the current emotions of my new partner which were slightly uneasy. 'I guess I should choose a name for this beast… Weirdly I feel very close to it. I wonder what gender it is.' With this thought I slightly peaked at the wolfs belly. 'So she's a girl… what about Freyja,' with this the status bar changed, (Freyja, HP: 100%).

As I named the wolf I noticed a bright light as I disappeared and reappeared in a building. I quickly pinched myself trying to wake myself from this dream. But, as I looked around the same sight was still there. While it wasn't the best looking store, this was ours. I couldn't help the tears flowing down my cheeks as I could see a better future for me and more importantly, Phoebe.

The building had a very medieval design with cobblestone walls and wooden beams equidistant supporting the ceiling. On the sides, near the giant double wooden doors leading to the front, there was a statue of a wolf pup that looked exactly like freyja. The design was magnificent, and you could feel a slight aura released from the statue, making it seem as if it might jump at you any second. On the opposite side was a statue of a Jaguar cub with the same detail as the first and just under it on the podium it was positioned, was a name, Bagheera.

I looked towards Phoebe, who had appeared at some unknown time, and decided to ask, "Would you like to explore the store together?"

"Thank God you asked, I don't know how I could handle looking at all of this alone… this really is a lot to handle."

We started with the side lined with the statue of Freyja, the left side of the building facing in. There was an arched hallway which led to a wooden door with iron plates supporting it. As I entered the room there were stone pavements leading in a path surrounded by various crop plots which were currently empty. The ceiling was made of opaque glass with misters aimed downwards, keeping the temperature oddly comfortable. In the center of the building was a podium with a book on it. The book was titled, Introduction to your Offical Greenhouse.

I decided that before reading this I should explore the rest of the store, which naturally led Phoebe and I do the opposite side where the Potion hall was located. Their was a half circle table in the middle of the room with bunsen burners on it. The walls were lined with shelves on either side, empty beakers filling the shelves on the left side of the room. The ceiling had various medal wires hanging slightly connected to the ceiling going from the left side to the right. On the back wall was a giant empty bookcase, excluding the one book titled, Introduction to your Official Potion Brewing Room.

Finally it was time to check the last room in the store, it was directly behind the counter which was positioned in front of the entrance. As we entered through the wooden door, we couldn't be more surprised by the view that greeted us.
