Chapter 20

"Fine, I'll forgive you, in return I want a discount. I'll pay 50 gold for your healing potion,"

'This was gonna be a tricky customer'

"I truly am sorry for calling you small and assuming you were a child, but I can't lower the price of this potion. Truthfully, the price is already amazing with the effect it brings. If you wish to buy the potion I'd be more than happy to sell it to you at the cost of 100 gold, any lower and I would be making a loss," Of coarse It wouldn't actually be at a loss, given we made the potion ourselves, but we knew it would eventually sell for the price set. Plus, I needed that 100 gold.

"And how can I be sure this isn't a scam. You expect me to pay 100 gold for a potion I can't be sure works,"

"You should feel honored she even wants to buy your potion for 50 gold. If she wanted, she could have it free," The man who had been silent the whole time finally spoke.

"I'm sorry, I must insist you pay the price set or leave my store," I would honestly prefer not dealing with these troublesome people. From the words of the man, these people were important.

"Fredrick, take the potion. He doesn't want to except 50 gold. Then I'll be happy to take it free," The girl giggled as she commanded the man behind her.

"Of course," He started walking forward to take the potion.

"I'm sorry… I must insist you back away now. If you insult either of my bosses with your tricks again, I will forcefully remove you,"

All at once, everyone turned to see who had spoken, only to find a little girl with bright red hair.

"Haha!" The man bent down holding his stomach, as he laughed at the joke that was Vixey. "Little girl, I can kill you with a flick of my finger. Just you try removing me forcefully!" He looked at her mockingly waiting with his arms outstretched. "Nothing hu… I see you've come to your senses," He reached out for the potion again.

Then with a huge gust of wind and a loud clap, the man flew through the front doors, face first onto the street. Where he had just been standing was now Vixey, with the same sly look as before. "Buying customers only please," She looked at the man with blood on his face before turning away towards Phoebe and I. "I apologize for my behavior, I couldn't allow that man to steal from my two benefactors,"

Meanwhile, Phoebe and I were both gobsmacked. The entire process had been so quick and seamless, we both weren't sure what to say. Finally, I decided to speak up, "It's no trouble at all Vixey, customers should pay for our merchandise, when he tried stealing there was no choice but to remove him forcefully. Thank you for your help," I couldn't complain.

"Hmph, I'll be back. I hope you won't regret your decision," the little girl decidedly turned and left.

...

"Did you finish reading the potion brewing book?" Phoebe asked Vixey.

"I did, is there anything else you need,"

"Could you go help train the pets in the back for the time being. If we need your help again we'll be sure to ask," We had both left our pets with bell as well as the customers two pets. They were all training in the water area as it was a good way to improve the turtles abilities, while improving the fire foxes resistance.

"Of course," She turned and left through the back door towards the plots.

DING

'Wow, we really are getting a lot of customers today,' I couldn't help thinking as I greeted the customer who walked through the door.

"Hey, my friend recommend this place to me. He said you have a lot of great undead supplies," The customer quickly came to the counter.

"Does your friend by any chance have a Ghoul?" I could only think of this one person who would recommend our store.

"Yah he does! Are these real?" The man pointed to the shelf behind us.

My smile grew, sure enough when you have something great people line up to buy. "Yes they are,"

"I'll buy that health potion, a set of Draugr Eyes, and a Zombie Brain," He said while glancing at the shelves.

I quickly grabbed all the supplies he asked for and excepted the gold in return. With that I was ready to go to a cultivation area again.

"Phoebe, do you want to come as well, or do you want to stay here and work the counter?"

"I'll join, I'd like to see if I can train Bagheera and Iglif to level 10," She answered.

With that, I quickly bought the Temporary Contract Technique, bringing the store energy down to 5. Phoebe and I then walked to the waterfall plot to gather the pets.

"What!!!" Once we entered inside we saw 5 different tree ents, three times as large as the ones in the Forest of Mist. They were fighting a pet each. Every time one of the pets looked like it would die or was to hurt to fight, a green light would spread over it recovering all of its wounds. When any of the pets decided to give up, a flash of red light would appear and with it, Vixey. She would appear in front of them and use some unknown method to scare them into continuing to fight. I started questioning whether we needed to go to the cultivation world anymore. In the end we decided to leave them here.
