Sammy helped me gather a few information about these people we were looking for. I'd begged her to stay longer until all this was sorted out. So we spent some weekends at her parent's place cause she was being missed by her mother a lot. When not there we'd ring her or video call her.

Father and Aunt Shay came back , and Sammy's suspitions of Aunt Shay grew even more by the minute.

Sammy ended up doing a little investigation on Aunt Shay and I did not want to be a part of it .It was just pure madness these two had to sort out their differences.

Sammy suggested we even searched her room and I obviously didn't agree with that one.

Papers were scattered all over while Sammy and I did our research about all people that had been invited that night .

Honestly we were really getting tired of this and we decided to hire a PI to do all of this . It was tiring.

" Freya did you notice that you're Aunts been getting a little bit too close to your father for my liking "

I widened my eyes in shock " Aghh Sammy there's nothing as such you're just exaggerating about nothing , you just need to sort out your differences "

"She's up to someting I'm telling you , you'll thank me later for all my suspicions ",

" nothing like that is ever going to happen , keep dreaming ".

" hey guys what are you up to ",

" nothing just improving our detective skills " Sammy says while snatching Mikes chocolate takes a quik bite and let's out a silent moan. Oh I wish I was the one doing that right now , like who wouldn't want a sneakers bar while under so much pressure.

" damn woman! , what did you do that for ?"he says making a pouting face. "Did you guys notice that Aunt Shay was standing by your door what did she want "

" by the door?", I ask " but she never came in "

" then someone tells me not to he supicious of someone acting so strange , never "

" you're crazy, Mike go to bed why are up so late?"

"Why was she up so late? Is the  question you're supposed to be asking yourself " , Sammy answers instead.

" Sammy.."

" Whatever , I'm going make us some hot chocolate"

"Freya I can't sleep, everytime I close my eyes Mother appears",he says taking a seat on my bed.

" Mike , I'm this close to finding mother's murderers and a soon as they are put to justice mother's soul is going to rest in peace and everything is going to return to normal , that's why I'm trying all I could and please make sure that father doesn't find out about this until were sure who these people are. Now come give your big sis a hug then go to sleep ".I hug and give him a kiss on the chick .

" yuuk stop doing that, I'm a grown up I'm not a baby anymore "

" ahh go to bed you'll always be a baby to me no matter what " .

After Mike closes the door Sammy storms in the room with two pipping hot mugs of hot chocolate, carelessly placing them on the table and runs her fingers trough her hair.

"What's got into you know?"

" WHAT'S GOT INTO THAT WOMAN!"

" Whoa , what woman are you talking about now ",I ask

"WHO ELSE EXCEPT YOUR AUNT SHE JUST TOLD ME TO STAY OUT OF THIS FAMILY'S AFFAIRS IF I KNEW WHAT WAS BEST FOR ME AND MY FAMILY"

" what! " I exclaim standing on my feet. Why on earth would she say that. Not to say that I didn't trust Sammy , I did but it wasn't so like her to say something like this to her . I'm not going to choose sides but I trust her , she wouldn't lie so I'll have to see what I can do . There's obviously more to this than meets the eye.

"Why would she say that ?"

" she's up to something and I'm sure if it .She's been eavesdropping on our converstaions and that what got me supicious of her in the first place.

Sammy and I talked or what seemed like ages until we realised that it was about two o'clock in the morning. She's always been above board with me so all she said was what she really felt and I think I might have got a thing or two off about Aunt Shay.

The following day Sammy and I had just finished having our breakfast when I heard my phone vibrate. Indicating that I'd just received a message. I opened my Whatsapp and checked who it was an unkhown number.

Unknown: Morning beautiful

Me:Hey

Unknown :Guess who?

me:I don't know

unknown:You don't wanna to try atleast

me: Not a chance

Unknown: Sam😝

Me: Oh hey Sam

Sam: Hey beautiful, whatsup

Me; Nothing much. So I'm guessing Sammy did the honours of giving you my number.

Sam: Yeah I'm hoping you don't mind.

Well I don't mind , but I'll have to deal with her.

Sam: Ok I guess I'll talk to you later then. But just don't hurt her she made my job easy. Later..😉

Me: Later.

I lift my head so look at Sammy and I find right behind me looking at what O was doing with my phone.

" do you have anything to say for yourself and explain this " I say trying to look furious. I wasn't actaully mad at her for doing this I was doing backflips at the back of my mind . I was quite excited but nervous at the same time I don't know why but talking to him felt good and strange at the same time.

"Well someone had to do it for you since it was going to take you ages to see what I see in that poor thing " she nagged .

"And what do you see in him exactly ?" I say placing my both my hands on my hips and giving her that I have you cornered what are you going to do now. But I wasn't expecting what she said next.

"Love Freya, love that guy loveee-" ,she says and looks at me . I know that look and that look is the one I usually get when she is about to give me one of her lectures. I didn't need one right now. "I know love when I see one"

"Are you sure that you're the one seeing love for me or yourself. You've never liked anyone who's shown interest in me . But look at you now.."

"Freya this is not about me but you. I don't like seeing you like this . Love has given you a second chance. Just give yourself second chance ".

"How many of them should I , uhh?" I say and my vision is starting to blur as tears threaten to flow down my chicks.

"It wasn't your fault" she says making it sound soft at the end. I wish that would ahve been convincing.

"But he said __"I say tying to remind her all the bax stuff Marcus had said to me. She cuts me off

"Shhh nothing he said was true ok? He was just a selfish prick and never deserved you. He was after your father's money both you and I know this. I promise you it wasn't you ok ?"

I slightly nod . I wish that was easy to get through my head . But I've been hurt to the core the only source to my love . But now there's nothing .

So at that dinner if he makes a move I'll tell him to back off or something or maybe look for greaner pastures . There are so many woman who would agree to anything just by the sight of him. I had bad luck at love . And it was in me , so I don't want to hurt myself again".

"I want you to g __"

"I think I'll go and prepare the movie, remember you said it was Netflix after breakfast right"

I cut her off not wanting to hear what she had to say next and got out and left her nodding to herself. There's nothing called love anymore.

People only lust for you. If not that their after your money or family wealth . Others are even forced into marriages by their parents just to strengthen stupid businesses by their parents . How can other parents be so cruel . I'm so glad that mine never did anything like this .

And as for love. I can't do that remember. Love is for the weak and vulnerable. And any sign of vulnerability invites pain.

Right now I'm going to dinner with Sam it's been sometime since I've been angaged with work and our little investigation.

He'd also helped us by providing the food mostly since we now know that Aunt Shay has more than one Child but two . She'd put him on adoption just after he was born , which made us do some more digging about her .

I don't know if a person is allowed to toot her own horn but here goes nothing..

Toot...tooot..(✿^‿^) , Sammy has done a great deal over here and I look amazing. Stunning.

While trying to find why she would do that since her parents would have fully supported her on that , we don't get the reason why but out of it all we find no reasons as to why she would kill my mother if she had done that.

" Done , you're now ready ", Sammy says while scanning me to see of she'd done a very good job.

Damn I can't even recognize myself in this and the makeup just puts the cheery on top of everything.

I have a purple dress on and it just hangs on my waist making my curves stand out but not too much, a purple emerald necklace to match the dress and black sandal heels , perfection.

"Your date is here ", Father says by the door and he comes in .

" Sweetheart you look stunning I wish your Mother would be here to see you this happy and be the one to help you dress up for your dates , but Sammy hasn't done bad is it? " he says looking at Sammy at the corner of his eyes mockingly " unlike that excuse of a human being Marcus , if the Police hadn't arrived I would have killed him with my own hands.

Oh Marcus. How I wish you were ruined. How I wish so many bad things would happen to you and so that they'd teach you a life long lesson. But I know one thing, what goes around comes around and surely one day you'll pay for it.

" What? This is an amazing job I've done here Mr Anderson ", she says looking at me with her dark chocolate big marble like eyes .

" Well we don't have the whole day let's get going" she says pulling my arm and when We get down stares its as if some angel lost it's way and came to my house cause this is not Sam is it ?

Just when he walked in it was as if someone took a vacuum and sucked all of the oxygen out of it.

He comes towards us and he walks with such confidence you can't help but just watch him in awe. My Father was there so I thought he would be a little bit shy but he wasn't .

The combination of his good looks , confidence and status is something that demands your attention but as for me it was beyond that ,it was the butterflies that were constantly filling my stomach with each step he took towards us .

Even though I didn't know much about him. Anyone walking from the street would tell that he was well off. Filthy rich. Not my words, Sammy's.

"Hey ", Sam pulls me into a hug and after it I take a step back to drink in his appearance .

Father quickly pulls me towards him and throws a warning eye towards Sam.

" I just hope you heard everything I said to you young man ", he says and clears his throat

" Yes Mr Anderson ", he smiles and takes my hand and we heard for the door.

"Did it hurt?", he asks . What is he talking about .

"What ? Ooh that nah not a bit I'm the one who's supposed to be asking you that .Why?"

" Cause it looks like they're missing an angel in heaven" I smile and and catch a glimpse of Aunt Shay looking at us in an unpleasant way but I just shrug it off and head out as Sam opens the door for me.

Once in the car Sam keeps on telling me how he couldn't keep his eyes of my which is why my father had pulled me , and I was also too distracted to notice that since I also couldn't believe what was infront of me . He was a really great guy but .

The ride to the place we were going to as a twenty-five minutes ride and it was a very nice Italian place that served the best cuisine anyone would like . The aroma had my stomach growling already and Sam looked at me with a smirk.

"Well let's get in cause it seems like someone can't wait to have something " and he laughs

"Ha ha ha , very funny ".

The rest of the night was filled with laughter, jokes and getting to know eachother and I got to know that Alex was adopted from birth and his Father one of the well renowned business moguls in the country .

Technically I knew that he was a business man not  that big I guess.

We continued talking and when we made our dessert order it was getting a little bit draker. By the time I took the last bite of my dessert it was already late and I was ready to head back home.

He got the bill settled after a very long argument because I'd insisted that we'd split the bill. The place was to far, to it took us a long time to come here.

He parks his car in our driveway. Get's out first and jogs to my side to open the door just like every business man's desciplined son would. Would they? Maybe or maybe not some are spoilt brats the just wouldn't. I get out of the car.

Standing by the porch of flowers before the main entrance . We do the , you know . The little awkward talk that people do after dates before kissing but leave the kissing part out.

We hug after he makes me promise that I'll let him take me out next time. Arguing with him was pointless he was just so good at persuading people I guess. Then, we uhmmm.

Go our separate ways. I know what you're expecting, aren't you a nosy little thing.

When I try opening the door it opens it self , I'm shocked for a second not knowing who would have stayed up for so long and quite relieved when I see Sammy's eyes looking at me with her I saw what you just did out there eyes and I knew that I wouldn't get wink until I told her everything.

And that was it ...I had to .....
