I'm Devin McCannon, 28 years old and I am currently in shock. I was just reading my first ever comic book of Superman, when it suddenly glowed a green light. The light shot into my body, and an immense agony shot throughout my whole body. As I struggled to sit up, and as my vision faded, I saw black ink like liquid starting to leave my body and then I fainted...
Now that we're caught up, now for the next part. A voice in my head just spoke to me. It said that it's the Superman System, and that it's here to help me grow, learn and adjust to my new identity as Superman. My powers are all watered down, but they're the same as full powered Superman. I get the powers but they all start at level 1. The system gave me a convenient status display.

Yeah the size of the list of my skills is absurd, and so are my stats. I learned the average buff man has a strength of 7. Yeah I'm definitely Superman, there's no doubt now. The system revealed the typical quest and inventory features to me. However I saw a new one. There was a glowing orb of white light and one of black. There was the number 0 next to each, and I saw Hero Points on the white orb, and Villain Points on the black. It would seem if I do actions typical of a villain, I'll become more evil, and the opposite is true. Well I obviously intend to be a hero. Now what to do? At that moment my system notified me that I have a beginner hero's package in my inventory. When I opened it, I saw....
The Superman costume, from a certain movie where Superman dies. But it's a real Kryptonian power suit, and not a costume. Sweet! Also, I gained an avatar card which lets me design an appearance for my Superman persona. I immediately went to town on my design, and made a cobalt blue eyed, dark haired, and deeply tanned man over 6 foot 2 tall. Once I finished, I finalized it, and saw a new skill called Hero's Persona. This is obviously my new appearance that I can switch to at will. Now let's get up and shower, my skin's dyed black right now.
After a nice hot shower, I took a look in the mirror and was surprised. I look like me, but in a glorified male body and perfect golden tan and aesthetic as hell muscles. My son grew too. Won't say how much. Hehe. After I dried off and got dressed, I decided to ask my system some questions. "Hey system, I know I'm becoming Superman, but are there other people out there like me right now? You know with a system or developing powers?"
[ Indeed there are people with powers in your world, but they've been around for thousands of years. You would know them as Daoists, or cultivators. And before you ask, yes it's just like those light novels you read.]
I felt my jaw drop in disbelief. I'm Superman in the real world, and there are real life cultivation practitioners flying around on the Earth?! What's this insanity? Well, now I know that there's people out there who can harm me. After all, magic can hurt Superman from what I remember, and I'm a beginner Superman with super weak strength powers compared to the comic book Superman. Now let's get strong!
