「Evolution complete.」
As the residual evolutionary light receded to the Wyrm's pores, he naturally opened up Chrysalis to view his new body.
A pair of devilish crown-like horns grew on the sides of his skull. Stripes of cyan covered the majestic protrusions. On the sides of his mouth, 2 red-coloured Mandibles grew out menacingly...
His body had seen a quantitative change when it came to size. If previously he was the size of the largest Cat species in the World, now he was about the size of a Donkey, though with a much longer body due to the presence of his tail.
Obsidian-shaded scales grew on top of his body, very much akin to natural metallic armour. A series of dorsal spikes jutted out of his spine, the ones on his torso bearing the colour of black, whilst those on his tail shared the colour of his new arms...
Red, his new colour scheme had undergone quite a change... Luckily, he still retained his N-word pass as the overside of his body remained completely black, whilst the underside possessed a cyan colouring... Though for some reason, his limbs were the colour of red.
His new Avian Paws had rather accurate names. Thick and ferocious, these new clawed fingers of his could simultaneously rip apart a female variant of Spiderman and play with her insides at the same time... Now that's what I call a handyman!
Cough... Anyway, his body now truly resembled that of a Dragon... If you were blind, of course. He still retained some crustacean features, though they were very much outclassed by his Draconic ones...
「The Skill ~Taboo~ has leveled up. LV raised to 8.」
'What...? Am I a sort of forbidden existence now?' It indeed was as an Appraisal of his new Species revealed some facts.
「Ein Varaaz: A Species of Lesser Wyrms that does not belong to a single category. A one-in-a-million kind of existence, there have only been three other individuals of this Species.
Their physical appearance cannot be properly discussed as every member possesses completely different traits. This is because all Low-ranking Wyrms can potentially evolve into an Ein Varaaz.
Though they all share a passing resemblance to the Species that they had evolved from, only greatly warped by the malignant effects of Chaos.
An Evolution granted to a Low-ranking Wyrm of any Element that has somehow made use of the Chaos Attribute without the proper skills to assist.
NOTE: The Chaos Attribute is continuously produced by the body, though the body itself has yet to adapt to Chaos corruption... The body will constantly take damage that is on the same pace as its regeneration.」
"Yeah, that sounds pretty forbidden to me..." He muttered as his eyes travelled downwards, eventually ending up on the note...
"!?" Immediately, he inserted one of his fingers inside his mouth and chomped down...

He swallowed the finger then looked down at his paw, one finger missing...
1 minute...
2 minutes...
10 minutes...
It wasn't healing.
"Good thing I have Healing Magic..." He muttered as a sapphire glow covered his paw, another finger emerged from the damaged stump.
It seems this side-effect of his evolution only impacted his regeneration, not the Healing stacked on top of it.
After his finger recovered, he plucked one of his fangs out before throwing it into the air.
'Chaos Attack.' That's right, he had actually acquired such a Skill from the evolution.
The fang suddenly welled up as if it had been bloated, a strange yet familiar black ooze spilt out from inside the fang and enveloped it with the colour of the night.
No shit, it was familiar... This was the same substance produced by Chrysalis!
—Clink~!*
The fang dropped to the floor, producing a loud clinking sound.
It was as if Venom himself had imprinted on the fang as the black ooze completely covered it, tendrils of black extended out of the black fang as an asymmetrical series of eyes and mouths sprouted out.
'There's Chaos Attack but no Chaos Resistance...' The Wyrm was rather grateful for his cautious attitude regarding the Chaos Attribute, he didn't want to wake up as more of a freak than he already was!
The Wyrm held one of his paws out as a blue glow emanated from his fingers, enveloping the black fang with rejuvenating light.
The tendrils writhed in disgust as the black ooze started solidifying, akin to water exposed to frost.
—Crack~Crack~Crack~!*
The solid ooze cracked and shattered, turning into harmless black dust...
'Thank Admin G this stuff goes away with Healing Magic, although...' He stared at the fang, which was now completely devoid of any mutations or black ooze.
'This is just like Chrysalis...' That was quite concerning, this meant that every time he was utilizing the Skil... He was actually using Chaos!
"But how come I didn't get Nurglefied every time I used it... Is it because of the System...?" It could be... After all, this was the same System which gave him magic powers.
'Wait... The Pure Essence... Instead of it being used as fuel for the Skill... Could it instead be a deterrent for unwanted mutations?' This meant that in theory, there was no actual limit to the use of Chrysalis.
Though attempting to utilize it without Pure Essence might backfire badly... But what even is Pure Essence...? He gained it every level up, so it should have something to do with the System... Or maybe... Souls?
Was Pure Essence exclusive to him or did everyone have it? If it was, then why was it only him? Because of Greed?
"Bah! Enough thinking for today, I'm quite famished..." The Wyrm muttered before returning his gaze to the surroundings.
Larry was having the time of his life as the various corpse became an all-you-can-eat buffet for him. That weird White Slime was also having the time of his life trying to do something inappropriate with the child Hero.
Yeah, he should probably address that.
"Need any help, Julius?" The Wyrm bombarded the Hero's mind with telepathy.
