10 The Surprise
"So soft ahhh...what the hell!" Sung Joon mentally slapped himself when he realized what he was thinking when he shoulder bumped with Jinha.
After reconciling with the Prince, Jinha bade the two goodbye. "Now we're all good, Snow I've met you're Big Bro, my Prince (with a salute), I'll be on my way. See you when I see you!" Without further ado she went on her way.
Seeing this, Sung Joon's heart felt a small twitching pain, he involuntarily touch that spot on his chest where his heart is...he very much wanted to stop Jinha from going. He still wanted to see "his" face and hear "him" talk.
Sung Joon cannot believe the traitorous path his thoughts were taking. All his life he had a firm conviction of what he is, he si undoubtedly straight. Even if he hasn't been interested romantically with the opposite sex, he also never entertained any romantic thoughts with men. He is absolutely, 101 percent sure that he is not bent!
Meeting Snow's "Nanjaengi" made him question his whole being as a man. What in the world is happening to him!
Confused and distracted, Snow led her Big Bro inside the ballroom.
Looking at the confused Sung Joon, one would think that the unbelievably handsome man wearing a form fitting black tuxedo is just being his aloof self as always, the frown on his brows signaled that he was annoyed. With the limited variety of facial expressions seen on his face whenever he met with other people, his confusion and distraction can be mistaken for annoyance.
On the stage stood Lord and Lady Lee. The couple though in their 60's, still looked the epitomy of a blessed couple, Lord Lee standing tall is as dashing as ever, beside him is the elegant Lady Lee who exudes charm and grace.
At the moment, Lord Lee is thanking the guests for coming to Young Lord Lee Sung Joon's welcome party.
"We, my wife, Lady Lee and I, would like to thank all of you for joining us in welcoming our son for finally coming back to our beloved Country S. After long grueling years of studying and manning our international corporate offices in Country E, he is finally staying here with us. A toast for our precious Sung Joon!"
Everyone raise their glasses to drink with Lord Lee and his family.
"Please, we have one more announcement to make. I would like to take this opportunity to impart to you a grand surprise from our family...."
Sung Joon though still slightly dazed with his tumultuous feelings came to life with his father's words. With a sharp and piercing gaze, he heard Lord Lee's dreaded "grand surprise"!
"I would like to formally tell you all the official engagement of our Sung Joon to Song Empire's only daughter, Song Hye Sun!"
Sung Joon's strides were lingtning fast but his father beat him to it. Before he could stop the old Lord the deed was done.
He was dripping with white hot fury that you could almost see silverwhite sparks emitting all over his body. He looked like Lucifer, with his angelic facade but demonic eyes, the ladies almost swoon at his fairness and the men felt fear and awe in their hearts.
