2: Are You Really Her?

Elsa's Pov

"Hey! Wait! So which station is to Los Angeles? Wait!" A second boy from the group, the male with dirty blonde hair shouted.

"Calm down." I stopped the guy from chasing after the innocent man. "You guys don't need his help. I can bring you to—" I paused, noticing a familiar face. The third member of this little group was a girl. A girl I haven't seen in years.

"OH MY GOODNESS! Liv! Is that you?"

I pounced my weight onto Liv, while my dear friend looked utterly surprised. "E.... Erica? AHHHHHH!"

I took off my shades after realising I was still wearing them. Catching a glimpse of her soft brunette hair shining under the sun, she screamed back, "E! I can't believe it's you, E!"

Olivia is/was my BFF... before we lost each other contacts when she had to move to Los Angeles, California to study. Well, I am really lucky to get to see my Liv again right here in Mexico.

I could barely recognize her after all these years. Liv was tanner than I last remembered. Her cute bangs are now as long as her hair, and of course, her fashion sense is still as great as before. She wore a brightly coloured blouse and a gorgeous skirt with leggings. Her flats are in the perfect combination of pure white and blue.

After exchanging hugs, I asked, "But how? This must be a dream right? Right?!"

Liv held my hands tight. "E. It's real all right. My friends and I came here for a short vacation. I was wondering if I could see you again, and looks like I did!" She said excitedly.

"Oh and speaking of friends..." She noticed the awkward silence of her friends. "This is Micheal. Although, we call him Mike for short. And the grumpy one's Peter. We all came from the same middle and high school."

Even with their completely different appearances, I could find a striking resemblance between the two. Peter has a slender-build torso with piercing green emerald eyes. His face was strong and defined, his features molded from granite. He had dark eye brows, which had a friendly glint as he smiled, revealing a row of gleaming white teeth.

Michael has darker brown hair as compared to Peter's dirty blonde, which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were a mesmerising deep ocean blue, sloping downwards in a serious expression. However, the flecks of silvery light contradicted to his serious nature as it performed ballets throughout. They both were fairly tall, but one is skinnier than the other. Yet, as normal as Michael seemed, something else caught my attention: Michael was wearing a red turtle-neck sweater.

That isn't something you see Mexicans wear everyday.

Liv then gave myself an introduction that sounded too over the top, "Everyone, I like you to meet Erica. She's like my sister from another mother!"

"Oh, are you really Liv's sister from another mother?" said Michael, with an air of great surprise. "You should have said something, Liv! We had no idea."

"Hang on, I think I remember her saying something about it," said Peter. "Once—"

"Or twice—"

"A minute—"

"All summer—"

"Oh, shut up," said Liv, hitting the boys by their arms.

"But anyways—" Michael lifted his sleeves up to shake my hands, "A pleasure to finally meet you! So you live with your mom here, alone? Liv's been talking about you ever since we became friends. Although, she never mentioned your English is as fluent as hers too?"

Of course, why hadn't I see that coming? Mexicans usually speak Spanish; and the use of English is rarely needed here.

"Oh yes. I speak three languages, actually. Spanish, English and Mandarin. My mom had signed me up for language classes since young." I muttered, fearful that I might sound off too arrogant. These were Liv's friends. I couldn't make them dislike me, and this could be my only chance of starting anew with new friends.

To my astonishment, Peter, the grumpy green-eyed dude, raised his voice as fondly as Michael, "That's impressive! And I'm really sorry for um... shouting, just now. And by the way, why are you wearing gloves? It's not like it's snowing out here."

I gave a nervous chuckle, "No, it's fine. Oh, the gloves... I was just a little cold. And if you don't mind, I would gladly appreciate it if you could call me Elsa. Mom named me Erica after my birth parents."

Hey there! The second chapter was short but I promise I will make the other chapters longer in the future! I wonder what is Elsa's/Erica's reason is... oh wait I know nvm :) so hope you like it!
