Nexus of Games

The Headway power. The Gamer of the Nexus. Two powers, both originating from the same source. The Nexus allowed its user to transfer themselves across universes, to lands of the bizarre, advanced, or primitive, perhaps even a combination of the above. The Headway power allowed rapid growth in all fields, as well as the acquisition of new powers from defeated foes.

A very general idea of how the ranking system works, mostly based around physical general skills, but you should be able to guess how they relate for most things. 0 is nonexistent skill, 1 below average, 2 is average, 3 is above average , 4 is professional level, 5 is low level Olympian, 6 is peak human, 7 is Batman level superhuman, 8 is Captain America level superhuman, 9 is demigod level, and 10 is god level. It probably won't go above that except in special cases. Keep in mind that that isn't always the case, and those scales usually only work for general skills. Generally, 1-6 is fairly easy, but it gets much more difficult after that.

Magic: Superhuman abilities that can be taught to other people. DND wizards or Skyrim magic.

General: Mundane abilities that your Headway power can make the best of, and turn superhuman in and of themselves. Like engineering or Sword Fighting.

Traits: In born or gained abilities that can harm or benefit the the MC.

In the city that never sleeps New York City their is a short one bedroom apartment that had more in common with a shoe box than a house was a man who had just awoke in his new life.

Alexander had just been placed into this body after it's previous owner had passed away from a unknown heart condition, Alexander had died in a similar fashion in his home world but was given the boon of the Gamer and the Nexus allowing him to gather strength and power from across the multiverse.

Opening his eyes Alex had processed his new memories that detailed the sad and boring life of the previous owner they were exceedingly boring. No tragic backstory or great Betrayal they simply fell through the cracks of society and was forgotten.

He lived in a payed off apartment in a building that was practically abandoned that he actually owned from his twice great grandfather, but the place needed tens of thousands of dollars for any of the other apartments to be slightly livable.

Alex slowly got of the bed as he was getting used to his new proportions, doing some basic stretches to get his blood flowing he felt his movements become more and more fluid like he was being guided by some Force till a pop up appeared on the side of his vision.

Reading the description and dismissing the pop up. Alex began looking through the apartment and finding very little; about a weeks worth of food in cans, a $1,000 which includes what money is in the bank, a old computer from the early 2000s.

Putting the money and bag in the game inventory, another pop up appeared in Alex's vision.

*Money! The nexus system offers exchange rates for various currencies from across the multiverse, gold and other precious metals can also be exchanged.*

Alex nodded and began to plan on how he was going to survive in his new life as he was currently in 2008 in the marvel universe as the bodies memories knew of stark industries, and had maybe 6 months before the start of iron man started.

Alex then sat at his shity table and ate breakfast of canned peaches he looked over the system, he had access to 1,000s of worlds from across fiction from lord of the rings to Cyberpunk all of them could be accessed.

The settings allowed Alex to alter the time dilation to be 1:1, 1:10, 1:100 as one day in Marvel was equal to one hundred days in the other universe.

People could also be brought over from either side via a party system or agreement from the other person.

Finishing his breakfast Alex put his trash in his inventory for later uses he formulated a plan on how get some money and gain some power.

Heading into the city he made his way right for a library, after getting some help from the librarian he was quickly found surrounded by books; first aid, engineering, and chemistry.

This is in hopes of gaining some basic skills for traveling across different dimensions as with his very scrawny form would quickly die even in the most safe universes.

After spending half a week In the library improving his skills Alex had reached the point where he was the equivalent peak human in engineering meaning he could keep up with people like Shuri and just a level below Tony Stark in his knowledge.

This also goes for things like first aid where he could keep most people alive long enough to reach an actual doctor, but he currently isn't an actual doctor right now.

And finally chemistry, this is very useful for making most mundane chemicals and will be used to create basic bombs, bullets, and common chemicals.

He also began to slowly exercise and be active to gain some weight and muscle which with the help of the system he was now average in his physical stats.

So gathering his things Alex prepared to shift to another reality for this he has been going back and forth on which dimension to travel too, as he was inundated with options.

He could go to Skyrim and try and learn various skills like blacksmithing or magic, Fallout to gain access to various technologies and items, or go to a peaceful place like Stardew valley or Minecraft.

He eventually landed on Skyrim near the end, he spent around a hundred dollars on some various Spices, Salt, and things like aa bolt of fabric.

Selecting the 1:100 time dilation, he selected Skyrim and another window appeared wanting more details.

Going through the various options, he selected Skyrim as his Start location as he was the most familiar with it and started in Solitude with the Imperial Trade Company being there he had access to more goods.

With a pop Alex was suddenly transported to the road that lead to Solitude, situating his back pack he then began his walk to the gays of solitude.
