I snuggled my head further into his neck before tilting my head upwards to press my lips against his. It was a short kiss before I pulled away, but it felt magical. This is what my first kiss should have been, with someone who actually loved and cared for me instead of that monster. The timing could not have been worse, but it felt somehow felt right... like a silent promise to each other that we would always be by the others’ side.
