I ran my fingers over my lips lightly, smiling. It was quick but, it was nearly as good as the one we shared the night of the party.

/"You’re in love with him still,/" Mom’s voice came from behind me. Spinning around, I look at her shocked. I open my mouth to ask her what, but she continues, /"I know that look. You two have been getting close since you went back to New York?/" I nod my head. Mom walks to me, smiling wide. She loops her arm through mine and tells me to come with her. She leads me to her library and sits us on the couch. /"Tell me about it./"

I roll my eyes and sigh, /"Momma, really./"

/"What?/" She shrugs.

/"I am too busy. With the baby now, there is way too much going on over the next year, probably more to even think about a relationship. So, it doesn’t even matter how close we are./"
