/"I’m going to go get ready. Josh, if you need to, you can take Maddy to Callie./" Josh who has gone back to playing with Maddy, nods his head without looking up. I nod a goodbye to Jarome and Jack before turning to head upstairs to the bedroom.

Looking in the mirror, 20 mins later, I adjust my tie and straightened the jacket of the dark blue suit I had changed in to. Sighing I decide that it is as good as it is going to get and I know I am just delaying because of my nerves. As I pulled out the drawer to my dresser where I had hidden the ring, there was a knock on the door causing me to slam the drawer shut again.

/"Colt, it’s me,/" I hear Jarome say through the door.

/"Come in,/" I tell him opening the drawer again and grabbing the ring box out.
