/"Jack, don’t talk with your mouth full,/" mom snapped at him. /"Honestly,/" she huffed, /"I thought all my children were grown./"

/"You know these two are never leaving home, Olivia,/" Tanya said pointing between daddy and Earl. Mom nodded in agreement with a groan added for an effect causing all of us children to laugh. I caught Colt’s eye and sent him and awkward smile. I totally didn’t get why I was nervous.

/"Callie,/" Gavin got my attention. /"When will Austin be here?/"

/"Tomorrow. He had some things at work to finish up, but he will be here in time for the barbeque he said./" I turned back from talking to my brother to catch Colt’s eye again, but his facial expression had changed. I wasn’t sure but he looked almost mad. I opened my mouth to ask if he was okay when Grandma May leaned in his way.
