What Did I Expect?

Waking up at 10 in the morning, although he had slept near 7 the previous day, Galahad lay on his bed staring at the ceiling. The problem is he had no clothes other than his armor, he got up from the bed and willed it to appear and as he expected it did, something very good for his lazy arse as it saved him the time. Looking at himself in the mirror he nodded, handsome as always before giving a dry laugh his previous looks couldn't compare to this. He poked his cheek in curiosity and walked towards the door. Walking downstairs he again sat at the same spot and rested his head in his hands even though he had just woken up.

Maybe because his mind was fresh after such good sleep, he noticed his magicule capacity and reserves had increased even more than the day before, his body was certainly stronger as well, thinking closely it finally clicked why that was happening. Looking at the owner he muttered, "Foooood....." like a zombie and she nodded once more going to fetch his food. He was a Saint that's why! Tensura's saints are peak humans with the potential for ultimate skills and unlike the True Heroes or Awakened Demon Lords, their power increased and reached it's peak over time as their bodies strengthened themselves. Common examples being the Eastern Empire's Royal Guard like Tatsuya Kondo basically the the top ten or five numbers, Saints were in simple words already pseudo Heroes, but there were differences between the two that were undeniable.

The lady placed his food in front of him and again after a bit of inspection he began eating quickly after all eating was an enjoyable action no matter who you are and especially if the food was extremely good. Moving on, Saints were equal in combat power to Weaker True Demon Lords if allowed to fully mature, he tilted his head in confusion maybe dying was his struggle? but he hadn't fully matured anyway so he wasn't one to talk. By now he had finished his food and after thanking the lady who smiled at him. He exited the inn, the two swords once more appearing at his side just in case someone thought about messing with him these should be enough of a deterrent.

Being a Saint already, getting the Hero's Seed and the Demon Lord's Seed and allowing their incubation he would break the system even more than Chloe Aubert who with her two hatched Hero Seeds was able to fight with Guy on equal footing with no need for any outside help. The thought of how strong he would be able to get with time put a smile on his face, now if only everything went according to plan. Walking through the streets he sent out another wave of mana, and turned in the direction where it resonated the most. That place should have magical items if it had those it would have grimoires too.

Walking through the busy city he arrived at his destination, and looked at the shop with a sigh, what is it with magic shops and looking shabby? Chuckling to himself he walked in and up to the counter. Sitting there was a senile old creepy mo-*ehm* an old man who was looking at him weirdly. Galahad lazily said, "Ummmm.....Grimoires?" The old man nodded at the young person in front of him while being slightly wary that magicule amount was no joke, and was quite terrifying was what the old man could surmise from his experience.

Galahad smiled, Saints possess much more potential which should allow him to gain skills faster well faster compared to a normal human at least. Moreover what was with this geezer?! staring at him all weird, "Did I...kill your chicken or something?" Galahad asked scratching his head getting an even weirder look. He sighed, "You know what.....I give up, Flame magic grimoires give me.... how many can I get?" Galahad said taking out his pouch, and placing it on the counter. Looked like he would have to do something about money too.

The old man silently counted the money and nodded before walking in to the back and bringing out two fat books and placing them at the counter. Galahad nodded, grimoires should be fairly expensive even getting two was a good deal and picked them up turning around to leave but he stopped mid way, "Can you say.....one word?" it was quite annoying to just not talk. The old man pointed at his mouth and shook his head, signaling that he couldn't talk. "I am so sorry." Galahad apologized and walked out.

He hung one of the grimoires by his side and curiously opened the other, he should just get started right now after all, all the time he saved could be spent later.....lazing around. He opened the book and stared at the pages completely frozen before sitting down in the middle of the road, "I don't get....a single word." He chuckled what did he expect? it was a miracle he could talk their language, reading it was a whole other deal. How did he forget to account for this?! He sighed and yawned before standing up and lazily walking again, looks like he had to change his plans up a little bit.

Walking through the streets he glanced around at everyone around him observing various things. A few minutes of walking later he arrived back at the Inn and once again sat on the counter with a sigh. The lady curiously asked him, "What happened?" He looked at her and said, "I just bought a grimoire...and I can't read it." She burst out laughing, he turned his head the other way yeah yeah laugh at his expense.

"I-I'm sorry, how about getting a tutor?" she advised him in this age not being able to do that was something quite common, Galahad's eyes lit up tutor? Tutor! the other Primordials should be fairly young around this time, Guy is just an exception and plain broken so he doesn't factor in. He slightly smiled, looked like he was getting the two maids much more earlier than planned now that he had confirmed what he was, he was fairly confident in beating them. A Saint coupled with Galahad's skills and two no three divine constructs yeah they lose any day of the week especially no most likely only because they were younger than their story selves.

He turned to her and said, "Thanks." He got up and walked out of the Inn. If this was the case then he could proceed right now, his eyes turned cold his lazy look gone this city would be destroyed for the Demon Lord Seed. His shield appeared so did the two swords but all of a sudden alarm bells tolled and a voice was raised, "Enemy Attack! Enemy Attack! We're being attacked!" Galahad's eyes widened in surprise, souls were being handed to him on a golden platter, who was he to reject them. With that in mind, he began walking towards the gate. The fire skill was on hold for now, he would learn fire magic from his two future maids after all demons were very knowledgeable about magic with most of their combat prowess depending on it.
