3 Veldora has disappeared!!

"What's up with this suddenly? and don't you already have a name?" I asked.

( Not that kind of name! This name will etch into our soul that we are equal. A un-named monster gains intelligence after it gets named but Mikami here already has intelligence but he'll get 'divine protection'. And you said you didn't have a name right? Unlike monsters naming a human won't do anything so you'll get a name only. Also make a family name like the humans say.)

" You do it. Last time I tried naming my cat I got scars in my face.." I turned towards Mikami.

<pfft... > I heard a chuckle.

I could only give a wry smile. I got a cat when I started living alone. He died three months ago. It really hurts when you wake up another day and you find out that your cat isn't there to annoy you.

< Since you are called the storm dragon, how about simply 'Tempest'?>

Purity?....The amount of assassinations I did and the lives I destroyed, I'm nowhere near pure....but looks like I got a name and a family, can I consider this a family...? I remembered a little girl who used to run around me calling me brother. She was the daughter of an assassination target, I had to kill the whole family but when I saw her, no matter how much I forced myself I couldn't kill a child. I took her to orphanage and told them to take care of her. I wonder what she would think when she finds out that it was her so called brother that eradicated her entire family...haha

A drop of tear fell from my eye, but luckily no one saw it...Well I guess it is time to move on from my past life...I hope I get to live a happy and normal life...

" Search for human settlement I guess. Leave that aside, is there no way to break this seal?"

If possible I didn't want to leave this tsundere dragon alone here.

"So, Let's go with that. It's better than staying here in this cave. What do you say?" I asked the dragon.

"Go ahead, do your thing." I said to rimuru.

Rimuru nodded and touched the seal.

In a second veldora disappeared.

The calamity class monster Storm Dragon Veldora has disappeared.

The one sealed for 300 years, the living calamity.

His disappearance signifies his return somewhere in the world.

And yet, twenty days after the disappearance, the Western Saints Church declared his presence to have completely vanished.

After Rimuru absorbed Veldora we walked out of the cave. We have been roaming around for days. There are few caves scattered around here so shelter hasn't been a problem.

Rimuru has been eating some plants, saying that they are useful. He also learnt some skills like [water manipulation].

Somehow I'm not feeling hungry, my guess is that my body is absorbing mana for energy, even my previous body would have gone weak if I didn't eat anything for more than five days.

It's the sixth day and we are in a jungle. I suddenly hear a voice in my head

[ Initiating synchronization 20%....50%.....69%....99%...100%]

[ Etching all the selected character's skills into host's head....Brace for the impact...]

What? What impact?

Then the nightmare began. I felt like someone is grabbing my head and tearing it apart.

"Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!" I groaned.

Because of my high pain tolerance, I am able to keep my consciousness, but I don't think it is for long. It seems Rimuru is calling my name but I'm unable to reply. I feel my consciousness fading and then I blacked out.

[Rimuru's POV]

It's been six days since I absorbed Veldora-kun. [Great-sage] is still analyzing the [endless prison] skill but to no avail.

'I hope we can free him soon'.

Shiro-san and I have been wandering around. I learnt some skills such as [water current control] and [water manipulation] with the help of [great sage]. It really is a cheat like skill.

I looked towards Shiro-san, he's my friend...or maybe brother since we share same family name. He's a fun but....weird or maybe strange might be the correct word. He said that he didn't have a name in earth, also he rarely speaks about his past life, all he said was that he was an orphan.

I'm sitting on his shoulder, moving as a slime is slow, and he doesn't mind so, it's okay I guess. Suddenly he grabbed his head and groaned.

"Shiro-san? What happened?!!!" I called him but he didn't reply. Ughh...I don't know what to do!!! I've never been in this situation before.

While I was panicking, he fell down. I think he lost his consciousness, is it because he has not eaten for days. I dragged him below the tree shadow.

'[great sage] check his condition..'

[He's unconscious. Unable to find the reason. He should wake up in two to three hours.]

*sigh* I guess he's alright. But why did he suddenly faint though?

[Rimuru's POV end ]

"ughh..." I groaned. I'm still feeling pain in my head. I looked around and saw Rimuru asleep beside me.

'Do slime even sleep?' I thought.

[ Synchronization successful. ]

Not again!! I don't want to feel that pain again. But this time I didn't feel anything.

[ Establishing link between mind and soul....successful.]

Lots of information started pouring in my head.

I closed my eyes. 'Status'

A blue screen appeared.

What the fuck?...Infinite magic power and Venuzdonoa these two combined is already overpowered...let alone the remaining skills. Shocked would be understatement of the year, of what I felt after seeing this. Who would have thought that the character I made as a joke in what I thought was a dream would turn out to be reality.

Well maybe this is a good thing. I can live without any worries for the rest of my life.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" I laughed loudly. My heart felt like flying. It feels like the invisible chains that binds me is being broken.

Looks like I woke him up...

"Hmm...my skills got awakened and for why I'm laughing, I'm just happy hahaha" I laughed softly.

More than eight years of living in torture, pain, constant observation, a life where someone else could decide whether I will live or die, and now I'm finally free. Now I can live a normal life....I looked toward the sky and closed my eyes.
