16 The conference...again!

Meanwhile in the forest...

"And there he goes again..." Rimuru sighed.

"So does anyone have anythin-" Rimuru was speaking but he was interrupted by Ranga who came in hurriedly.

"M-master!" He called Shiro but he couldn't find him.

"Shiro has left just now. But why are you in such a hurry?" Rimuru asked looking towards Ranga.

"T-there is someone who wants to meet master and...she is a Dryad." Ranga answered.

"A dryad?" Rimuru asked, confused.

"Dryad are said to be the descendants of the fairy race, Rimuru-san, They are the closest to the spiritual life forms there is after dragons. They were supposed to have vanished, but why would they appear now suddenly?" Haruko explained.

"Possibly due to the orc invasion?...but why would they contact us, I mean all we have in the name of force is goblins and storm wolves." 

"Well if she said that she wants to meet Shiro-sama, then she probably knows that he is strong, and none of us knows the extent of his powers. Maybe they want his help?" Benimaru answered while rubbing his chin.

"I see. Well guide her here Ranga, Shiro isn't here but I think he will return soon. Let's hear what she has to say." Rimuru expressed and everyone nodded in affirmation.

A few seconds after Ranga left, a beautiful woman in her twenties appeared inside the hall. Green hair, light skin, well-toned body along with her deep blue eyes, she looked like a Nordic goddess. Her body was transparent, it looked as if she had no physical presence, like a hologram but way too realistic.

"Greetings, all of the monsters and the dwarves, I am Treyni, a dryad. It is nice to meet you all." She greeted a small bow and a beautiful smile.

"I am Rimuru, let's just say that I am the vice-leader of this village. The one you want to meet is not present here currently. May I ask what is your business with him?" Rimuru asked politely.

"Oh I wanted to ask for his help to defend us against the orc lord's invasion. If the orcs invade us the treants, then it will be hard for us to defend them with the few number of dryads there are." She said with a hint of sadness in her voice. "And your village lies in the path of invasion, so you will have to fight against them eventually, so if you will help us we can lend you our strength." She concluded.

"But why us? Aren't there may stronger races in the forest?" Beimaru asked.

"There are but a lizardman called Gabil in taking all of them under him, and the closest village other than them is yours. If you decide to help us then with our combined strength we can surely resist the invasion. There is a high-level magic-born involved behind all this, and we don't plan to watch the forest being destroyed and do nothing." Her tone was firm and determined.

"First orc lord and now some high level magic-born." Rimuru sighed. "Please take a seat, and let's continue the meeting."

Just then the space fluctuated and Shiro appeared with a red haired girl in his arms. All of them were shocked, not because he appeared suddenly, they already got used to that, but because their leader who left a few minute ago came back with a girl in a tow.

"Yo!, so what did I miss?" Shiro said greeting them causally and looking around. "Oh, looks like we have someone new here." He said looking toward Treyni, the dyrad.

"Shiro!, where did you go?....and who is she?" Rimuru asked. 'There was a serious discussion going on and this idiot went to meet a woman?' He thought, twitching his eyebrows.

"Pleased to meet you, I am demon lord, Red. I am Shiro's wife." She said flashing the most beautiful smile. Then she looked toward Shiro like a child who pulled a prank successfully.

"WHAT?!!!!!!!!!" Everyone exclaimed in unison, standing up from their chair and looking toward Shiro. They were shocked, hearing that their lord got married, that too with a demon lord !!

"WHAT?" Shiro yelled looking toward Scarlett.

"What?" Scarlett looked toward him making the most innocent face of all time. Perhaps even the judge would have forgiven her for her crimes if she was on earth.

"Woman don't give me 'What', when did we get married!!" 

"Mou, you used me you know, now you have to take responsibility." She said with a pout on her face.

'The fuck are you about?' Shiro looked at her, his face was expressionless.

Everyone at the room looked at Shiro dumbfoundedly, Rimuru was staring at him with the expression 'I didn't expect this from you bro.'

"S-shiro-sama? You got m-married?" Shion asked with a teary face.

'Don't you think you should focus on the demon lord part more?'

"Tch. She is just joking, we just fought for a while, nothing else, and don't believe her that easily idiots." Shiro yelled toward them. "We need to discuss few things, everyone take your seats."

Everyone took their seats. 

"Well as she said, she is demon lord Red, her name is Scarlett." He introduced her again and looked toward the green haired woman. "And you are?"

Treyni stood up "Greetings Shiro-sama, I am Treyni, a dryad, I came here to ask for your help against the orcs invasion."

"Oh, and what makes you think I will help you?" Shiro asked looking at the dryad with an amused expression.

"Because this village lies on the path to our settlement and orcs will invade you before us." The dryad replied bluntly.

'She doesn't have a filter huh?' He thought. "Fair enough." 

"Well the orcs problem is solved, they won't be invading us anymore." He declared.

"What? How?" All of the monsters present in the halls were confused. 

"You did something?" Rimuru asked looking toward Shiro.

"Mhm." He nodded. "But we have another problem now, and Benimaru, this especially concerns you and your group. I want you to think carefully and decide what you want to do. As you decided to serve me I will support whatever your decision is." Shiro looked toward Benimaru with a concerned expression.

The ogres were the one most affected due to the orcs. Although the orcs were manipulated it didn't change the fact that ogre's clan was wiped out dude to them.

"I see. So the orcs were just tools and it was due to someone else that our clan was wiped out huh.." Benimaru said while gritting his teeth. His eyes were red, he was clenching his fist so hard that blood was dripping from it. The other ogres weren't doing any better, Shuna had a sad melancholic expression on her face, like Kurobe. Shion wasn't doing any better. The only calm ones were Souei and Haruko, or perhaps they were just better at hiding their emotions.

Scarlett was listening to all of this without any expression, as it didn't involve her. The goblins and dwarves were happy because the orc's invasion had stopped but they couldn't show it externally.

"I can confirm that, I found a high-level magic-born among the orcs. It probably was his doing" Treyni confirmed.

"Mhm." Shiro nodded. "I will leave the decision in your hands Benimaru. I will find the culprit behind this eventually and hand him over to you, but if you still want revenge against the orcs, I won't say anything."

Benimaru stayed silent, but after a while Shuna spoke,

"I don't think it is appropriate to blame the orcs, brother, they were just used by someone else. If we want to take our revenge, we should do that against that magic-born who did all this." She said to Benimaru with a sad smile.

Benimaru's expression softened after hearing his sister's words. "We will do as Shuna said Shiro-sama, please help us." He bowed his head. The other ogres also did the same denoting their affirmation in his decision.

"Don't worry, I will." Shiro replied looking toward Scarlett. "I will have to find out which demon lord did this, It might take some time but, Scarlett will help me, won't you Scarlett-chan?" He asked in a teasing voice.

"Sure~" She answered in the same tone with a smile.

Rimuru who was listening to all this silently, finally spoke,

"All that's fine but what will you do with the orcs, even if we take them under us, we don't have enough food to feed two hundred thousand orcs you know?" 

"Oh don't worry about that, I will multiply what we have in the reserves, enough to last for a month, you have a month's time to manage all of them. They will work under us, so you can use them. They will probably be settled in a month's time. You can do it right Rimuru-kun?" he looked at Rimuru with a grin on his face.

"Do something yourself dumbass, don't throw everything at me!!" Rimuru yelled but as always he was ignored.

"Mah Mah~, no need to shout, I know you can do it."
