GOATs

Viswa was stunned the by scene.

The goat is tearing apart both the bandicoots as if it is the time of its life. He never knew a goat's bit could be that lethal. It bit through the bandicoots and swallowed their bones.

Viswa looked in the direction the goat came in and a series of questions popped up in his mind. It seems like the deeper he goes into the direction, the weirder the situation is getting. Herbivores are eating each other. Preys are hunting the predators.

He couldn't make sense of it.

Even if he could attribute this one also to the demonization, he only had more questions, what is the point of this change, what is going to happen and how it is going to effect humans?

Even if not all the humans, the one human who is currently in the forest. Viswa himself.

He also noticed that the goat is also pretty stronger compared to what its original strength should be. He observed it because he knew for a fact that this goat belonged to the Circle Forests.

Viswa looked at the massive goat and then at the deep forest.

Apart of his is tempting him to go there, but the rational part of him is telling not to. As he was lost in the thought, the goat seemed to have sensed his presence.

It charged at his direction and directly rammed into the tree.

*CRASH*

The tree was snapped into two.

Viswa of course had already dodged. Not only that, as soon as the goat hit the tree, he came from the side with the bone knife.

*STAB*

It directly went into its body, right below its throat. The goat didn't even get a chance to scream before it died.

As soon as Viswa saw the number of Karma points, a chill went down his spine and as soon as the vision came, the chills are accompanied by the cold sweats.

The goat is running through the forests and Viswa is very familiar with these woods. It is the Circle 1 forest. As it ran, it crashed into a young man who is standing there frozen. After that, it stopped and took its time feasting on him.

After that the vision shifted. The goat seemed to have arrived in the freshmen dorms of the academy. In a corridor of one of the dormitory buildings, it laid a large path of blood and human carcasses behind.

Viswa even recognized a few faces.

Then Viswa came back to his senses, drenched in sweat.

He looked at the goat that is laying on the ground lifeless. He is used to death. He was a soldier before and he has experienced enough to let go of death of others. But this scene is way too horrific even for his hardened heart.

He tried to calm himself down and took a deep breath before he relaxed a bit.

He instantly hung the goat to the tree and let it bleed it out first. Then he skinned it right there and threw the remains into the bandicoot cave before he carried it on the shoulder and walked back to his camp.

He might have just seen a horrific scene, but the next second he already made up his mind.

He is going to stay here for a couple of days more and this goat is going to be a part of his diet.

When he killed the rabbit, he saw a vision where it is eating a bunch of villagers back in some village. Now, he saw a goat eating some students.

At first he didn't recognize the village the rabbit appeared in, but now he couldn't help but related it to the Black Sand village.

He set up his camp and butchered the goat a bit to get some more bones. He also took the two horns to go ahead and carve the up into some hidden weapons.

While the meat is cooking, he prepared a bit more.

He wanted to see if he could encounter more beasts in that direction and if he does, he would like to kill couple of them and see what happens.

If the vision once again coincides…

Viswa was very sneaky and he didn't dare make himself visible to the possible beasts.

After he walked back to the Bandicoot cave, he was dumbfounded to see that there are a bunch of goats there. They are all sniffing around like dogs. One of them went inside the cave and came back with a bloody mouth which is leaking some intestine.

Viswa was weirded out anymore. It is a goat eating the innards of another goat which he never would have expected or possibly even thought of.

And that is not the end of it. A couple of goats already went ahead and sniffed the area where Viswa just bled and skinned the goat.

They tried to lick the blood off of the soil which is impossible. One of the goats is trying to effectively lick that blood off and acted a bit aggressive. In process, it pushed other goat to the side.

But the next second, the goat that was pushed aside is biting down on the neck of the first goat.

The first goat tried to get rid of that grip, but it couldn't. It couldn't escape and save itself. Before long one goat tore apart another goat with its hooves and mouth, while drinking the sprayed blood and eating the flesh of its companion.

That is not all. The remaining goats tried to claim some meat from this deadbody, but the goat that claimed the life also wanted spoils. It fought with other goats and soon, it was a total riot.

They bit into each other. Attacked each other and killed each other. Most of all, the most disgusting thing is they ate each other.

Viswa didn't understand how this happened. He would have loved to know what caused this and then maybe he wouldn't have to go inside deeper and confront these killer goats.

As he was thinking, the same thing that happened before happened again. Another goat that sensed Viswa's presence started rushing towards him.

Viswa once again dodged and stabbed the neck of the goat smoothly, he killed it. Just like he did it with the predecessor.

But this time, he didn't stay there to collect the corpse or other things from it. Instead, he ran as fast as he can. Some goats indeed came after him, but some just stopped and ate their fellow companion.

Viswa soon ran past the goats and increased the distance between them. After a few more minutes, they stopped following him and he went back to the camp.

He crashed into the ground and leaned against the tree as he looked into the horizon. This goat also gave him around fifty points.

Fifty points for a goat and the scene he saw almost made him puke blood in anger. This goat is indeed wrecking through the Black Sand Academy, but in his vision he saw that the goat actually ate one of the children of the orphanage.

Viswa felt his blood boil.

"It is a good thing you are dead."

He muttered to himself and just looked into the horizon. Even if the evidence is not clear he is sure that these beasts at least some of the beasts might be going to the Black Sand Village and through the Black Sand Academy.

They are there to kill people.

So, whatever it maybe that is hidden deep inside the forest, he should try to take a look and figure out the situation. Even if he goes back for help at this moment, they wouldn't believe him.

Right now, he might not even be alive according to some people.

So, he made a decision. In the current scenario, it would be better for him to go ahead and keep an eye on the beasts inside. As soon as he confirms that there is something wrong, he is ready to and will run back to the academy at his top speed.

For that, he needs to first go ahead and do the surveillance once.

He stood up and took out all of his weapons. He decided to go ahead now.

After reaching the bandicoot cave again, he did see a bunch of goats, but they are actually leaving the area. He didn't provoke them. He just let them leave and then came out.

He walked to the cave of the bandicoots. There are a bunch of carcasses. A lot more than what he did outside.

The bandicoots indeed seemed to have fought each and eaten each other alive.

After investigating them a bit, he followed down the path they took. For a long time, he didn't see anything. The forest was as quite silent just like the time when he first came.
