Skyrim x Witcher: Tale of Chronicle Explorers

— Excitement courses through William as he looks at the two physical game discs he just purchased. It's been a while since he heard his friends rave about the games, and they've already completed them on their own. Notably, the game itself is already 8 years old. After switching on his computer, his attention wanders to the numerous novels and manga lining the bookshelves, with a particular focus on the sections dedicated to BNHA and AOT. Soon, his eyes shift to the side, where the Witcher 3 game is neatly stored. Once he boots up the computer, he proceeds to install the game and immerses himself in it day and night, taking advantage of the summer holiday. However, on a fateful day, while strolling through the streets of his hometown, he finds his gaze drawn to the sky. A bright yellow light begins to intensify, capturing his attention, and before he can even process a final thought, William engulfed in a sudden cold darkness. — Extra Tags: Slow Paced, Magical Research, Divination, Skyrim, Witcher 3, World Not Revolving Around MC, Friendship, Political War, Minimum Presence of Deity. Possible Future Tags: Adventure, Action, Tomb Diving, High Rock, Nilfgaardian, Historic Perseverance, Developing Own Magic. My main focus in this fanfic is to fleshed-out the lore of both of this franchise (Skyrim and Witcher), and how the culture of these two people there is interacting with one another. If you search for MC that solely focused in achieving divinity, this fanfic is not it. But I also know that I will most likely put disasters upon disasters after another to make the world more interesting. So, even though power level is not my focused, I will still make the MC to improve himself further. As to why he wants to improve himself, that you must read. Since, it counts as spoiler by my standard of seeing things. —   For now, the chapters are shortened to be 1000 words so that I can collect advance chapters. —

Spy Sisters.

"Well, he's not quite a Breton. But, Half Hagraven and Half Breton, as per the empire's records during their little invasion in the Western Reach. Anyhow, what matters most is that this Augur of Dunlain 70 years ago attempted a large-scale ritual to awaken the Dark Heart. Whereby, resulted in an artificial tsunami that killed millions upon millions of people in Winterhold to be sacrificed."

"..."

"I don't know whether this person is alive—"

'Oh, he is alive all right,'

"Or not, and where he has been these past couple of 70 years, nevertheless, this information will be spread publicly when the Eternal Empire finishes recuperating their troops. And that's why at that time, I hope both of you are already back to your respective kingdom, inasmuch as for your own good."

Stunned and feeling like finding an oasis in the middle of the desert, William quickly raised his face to look at Sylvia and asked in a stuttering voice, "S-so not right now, right?"

Staring at her junior weirdly, Sylvia nodded, answering, "Yes. And from my estimation, helping my empire gather information about the College of Winterhold, it will take them 4 to 6 years at most until they are ready for another invasion."

Now William is the one who looks at Sylvia weirdly. But before he says anything, he gets the reply without even asking, "Yes, me and my sister are spies to our distant older cousin Emhyr var Emreis."

Conflicted and not knowing what to do, since this is already public knowledge to the people living in Toussaint and even a tidbit of deeper lore from his past life playing Witcher 3, William just sighs and says, "I understand."

"..."

After staying silent for a bit, he then asked, "What about the others? Did they know about all of this?" Asking not just about the Augur of Dunlain but the true occupation of these two Toussaintois sisters, William gets the answer from the rolling eyes of Sylvia.

"Of course, you big head. They are my best friends. If not for me and my sister, this province is already becoming the battleground of the Eternal Empire. This is the origin of the entire humanity of this continent, and conquering them will be the same as destroying the morale of this entire pathetic Septim 'empire.'"

Taking silverware from the table and looking at his reflection, William defended, "Hey! My forehead is not that big, you know!"

"Yes, it is. All Redanians are big-headed."

"No it's not!"

"Suit yourself."

"..."

"..."

"Hmm, hmm. Now that I think about it, yes Will, your forehead is too big if you leave it like that. Try extending your hair so that it creates a bang to cover it."

"You too, Vin?!"

After a little escapade defending his choice of hairstyle, which quickly gets shut down by these two Toussaintois who are clearly very expert in terms of fashion taste, William then continues his research with one extra person here in his quarters.

"Will… What do you want to eat?"

"Just a simple toasted bread will do."

"Two servings of Flamiche coming right up."

"Toasted bread, Vin. Not some fancy whatever that is."

"Well, in my defense, Flamiche is also a form of toasted bread."

Shaking his head while looking at Vivienne already entering the kitchen that has been stocked up long before he owns this quarter, William continues his writing on the piece of parchment. The formula of the runic diagram is essentially written as 'hey brother, can you make Vivienne de Tabris in front of me to be one of your Holders,' in philosophical terms, as a little experiment with his State of Resonance spell.

But seeing nothing happened, even after waiting for thirty minutes, he decides to change his approach, to not just simply wanting to communicate with the written word, but also being able to hear it with his own ears what they are trying to say.

Because, for him, it is so tiring to write back and forth with the first step of trying to translate what these scrolls have to say and then translate back what he wants to say in the form of the construct spell of State of Resonance, that in itself will take multiple steps of effort just to communicate.

Luckily, since the State of Resonance is one of the accidental spells that he created when he was just a child, but at that time not fully upgraded into seeing the form of Magicka, William was able to do it in just a couple of tries using an abstract feeling of what he should do and should not do.

However, after listening with his ears to what these scrolls wanted to say for a couple of minutes, only hearing static noise and not being able to wrap his mind around how he could translate this bunch of frequency, he decided to drop this approach too.

Tapping his quill at the side of the table, he then remembers his accidental divination when attacked by the skooma addict, on how he was able to deduce the attacker manifested as a blurry image that lasted just for a blinking moment. Thinking for a bit, William then writes in the theory section of the Transcendence book and tries this new approach once again, using his five connected fingers.

But seeing these connected five fingers that are surely very obvious to anyone looking at him, and remembering every time he uses the deduction, he needs a couple of seconds to make that hand sign, William finally decided that after this research is over, he will practice to make the hand sign to be only one finger that he can point wherever he goes, to bolster his Mystic Bullet projectile while aiming. Since his mind and calculation in the State of Resonance are much better, prompting that maybe the aim will later become more accurate too.

Just like that, for the fourth day in his College, he first tries to create a Transcendence spell until the developed stages or working phase that can make his Magicka regeneration faster, while at the same time reducing his hand gesture to be one finger when entering the State of Resonance.

Not yet creating Mystic Bullet, since he knows, for effective training, he must have a way to make his Magicka last a little bit longer first so that when experimenting with Mystic Bullet, he will not constantly be taking rest just because he is out of juice.

"I am done. Here, Will, see my Super Magic."

And from time to time, grumbles upon seeing someone is faster than him, when he is the one who clearly has the biggest advantage here because of his State of Resonance deduction.
