7 Chapter Seven-The Riverwood Healer

"Would you come with me?" Tiberia asked me in all seriousness.

"I'm not a follower lady….." I said as I got up and tried waking up Ryker intent on leaving this conversation.

"That's not what I meant, here grab his other shoulder" she said with a sigh as we lifted the well over three hundred pound idiot that couldn't take his armor off before he got plastered.

"We'll talk about this tomorrow, we still have a day before we're 'supposed' to meet with Bors anyway considering it's Sundas tomorrow. I'll be leaving the tavern at around eight to go talk with the only mage in this god-forsaken place. So any time after that we can talk about why you're stupid" I said with a smile as we basically threw the idiot onto his bed, luckily our rooms were on the first floor or I would've just let him sleep on the bar counter.

"Maybe my people are on to something when they said you elves are rude." She said as she smiled sweetly. punched me in the shoulder and left the room.

"Crazy ass Nord dragon women" I said with a sigh as I entered my room and fell face-first into my bed with a sigh of pleasure.

I figured that going through the hell hole that was Helgen in real life might cause me to wake up in a cold sweat from nightmares, luckily I slept like a baby. No dreams came to me as I slept in relative safety.

Waking up however, was an honest to Akatosh struggle. Every muscle in my body felt like it was on fire, and the sound of others getting up to start their day was like needles to my brain. 'Did that fucking barkeep spike my drink, I feel like I drank a fifth of pure poison…. Aren't gamers supposed to have basically god-tier regeneration after they sleep? What kind of bullshit is this'

"Enough complaining…. Let's just get this day over with." I said aloud to no one as I rolled off the bed onto the floor, knowing I wouldn't move if I stayed on it.

'Ok, mages shop….. Then Tiberia…. Then back to bed' I said as I hyped myself up and rose to my feet, intent on heading towards the wash house behind the tavern.

After washing myself with a bucket and cloth, I proceeded to clean the dirt and blood off my robes. First impressions are worth a thousand septims they say, might as well look presentable to the only mage in this town.

Feeling a little livelier after my 'bath' I headed towards the western wall. After asking a pretty Imperial woman who might've been Camila, I got actual directions towards the place. A corner shop that was actually across the street from a large shop named 'The Riverwood Trader'.

A small variety of staffs and potions are on display in the front window. A small sign above the door that just said 'Riverwood Healer'.

'This looks like my kind of place' I thought with a smile as I headed into the shop.

"A baby mage, been a long time since I saw one of those pass through my little town" An aged voice said from my right. I jumped in surprised as I was focused on the counter when I entered, not noticing the older man dressed in specialized Master robes sitting at a table with a book in his hand.

He was a Breton man, maybe in his late sixties. Though he didn't have the usual giant white beard that gave plus one thousand mana.

(Lvl 43) Aleron 'Master Of Restoration' '???'

'A hidden title? That is mildly ominous. Just please don't be a Daedra worshiper' I thought as I silently prayed to Akatosh.

"Uh hi, names Cilus" I said, surprised by his unusual greeting.

"Aleron, now sit, tell me what you need youngling" He said as he put his book down. I nodded as I curiously looked over the title. 'The Exodus'.

"I was hoping you might have a few novice spell tomes for sale and a look at the cheapest staffs you have." I said as I sat on the chair across from him.

"Of course, I have a few" He said as he swept his hand over the table, about seven books appeared over the counter. 'Spacial magic?!'

"I believe Lucan across the street in the Riverwood Trader also has a few for sale if I don't have anything that interests you"

"The staff I'll need to check the back for but I should have a few basic spell staves somewhere. Look over those and see if there are any you wish to learn." He said as he got up and headed behind the counter.

'Well let's take a look', the Tome for healing was obviously an instant buy so I moved that to my side of the table. Taking the next book a look of realization entered my face. 'Pale Shadow'....'Fuck, this world has modded content…..'

'Use it to your advantage Cilus, no reason to freak out'

Easily sliding the book to my side I began looking over the rest, the three basic destruction spells, magelight, and consuming power. I slid that into my small pile as well. Hopefully, these won't cost too much. I only had five hundred gold after all. But I wouldn't be too sad to leave out the consuming power spell to have a basic staff.

The utility of being able to cast a spell without your own mana cannot be understated.

"I managed to find a staff of flames….. Do you really not know the basic healing spell?" Aleron questioned as he returned. Looking at the three spell tomes I selected with a raised eyebrow.

"I know two spells and I just arrived in Skyrim. Never really had a teacher, orphan" I answered his question and probably the ones that would have proceeded quickly as I looked over the staff he handed to me.

Basic Staff Of Flames: Charge:100%

It looked exactly like the game version. Made of some type of wood and topped with the figure of a dragon.

"So how much for each" I asked as I looked over the decent haul I could walk out with.

"Fifty septims for the healing spell, ninety for Pale shadow, one-twenty for consuming power, and a hundred and eighty for the staff." He said as he went over the numbers in his head.

"Thanks, sir" I said with an excited smile as I whipped out my coin pouches, took out four hundred and forty gold, and put it on his counter.

"It's no problem." He replied as he counted the coins with practiced ease. He nodded to me that we were good so I turned and began walking out of the place.

"If you manage to learn that healing spell by tomorrow. Come back here and I'll teach you something." He said as he retook his seat and continued reading his book.

"Really! You are the nicest person I've met in this city" I said as I bowed to him and walked out of his store. 'He could've just offered to teach me, all anyone has to do is read the spell book once to learn the spell'

"Hm, the child makes it sound so easy.….." A sultry voice said as a beautiful woman dressed in black and red appeared from nothing next to the old mage.

"The thrills of youth. It is weird seeing an Altmer in Skyrim, well that isn't Thalmor. The child seems like he's got an interesting story." The old mage said as he put his book down and wrapped his arm around his wife.

"I'm sure, you even gave the child a discount, I haven't seen you do that in years. You aren't growing soft in your old age, are you dear?" She asked the man as she leaned her head on his shoulder.

"Hardly…. Though I am surprised you're still up"

"Heard you making a racket up here, surprised somebody stopped by your shop that wasn't Lucan or Camillia. Had to take a look." She said as she kissed his cheek, her blood-red eyes glowing as she headed behind the counter.

"Night dear, sleep well"

(A/N: So as you've guessed I will be using some famous mods in the story. The first I'll introduce will be 'Apocalypse-Magic of Skyrim'. Others will be introduced when Cilus discovers them)
