2 Saphira

The egg quickly hatched under his eyes. As it hatched, a little pair of dark red wings expanded from behind the baby dragon as it purred softly, swinging its rail from side to side. It eyed Lucian in loving curiosity like a baby would gaze at a mother after birth. It then jumped towards him, even though, it was a baby dragon, it reached his knee in height and ended up knocking him over. 

The dragon licked his face and stared at him with the adorable red eyes, showing its excitement. It was a female dragon.

Lucian put his hand over the dragon's head and rubbed it softly, eliciting a gentle and satisfied purr from the dragon. 

Immediately a system prompt came up.

>>Detected Dragon imbued with your magika.<<

>>Do you wish to bond with the dragon?<<

Without a second thought, he telepathically agreed, causing another prompt to appear.

>>Name your pet Dragon.<<

'Hmm, that's a tricky one.' he said going through a list of name he had in mind.

"Saphira then"

Immediately, Saphira lit up as flashes of blue lightning surrounded her.

"I thought the lore was all about slaying dragons. This is an interesting twist" he murmured as he looked at her stats, while the dragon jumped around intrigued by the sight of the new world around it.

"Before we do anything else, let's check out these skills, so I can be sure what they do in case of combat."

He activated the skill "Dragon Veil", making a faint glow cover him and Saphira for a second until he felt their bodies fading out of sight, although, he still felt their presence.

Dragon's Veil: Combines elven magic with dragon essence to create a veil that conceals both physical and spiritual form.

 Cost: 5 magika per second.

Draconic Symbiosis: Forges a deep mental and magical connection with chosen dragon, enabling sharing of thoughts, abilities(at higher levels), knowledge and emotions.

 Cost: 10 magika per second.

"The other skill seems to have more potential." He faced towards Saphira, activating the skill.

Immediately, he could see the world through her eyes, it was a little unclear because the skill was low-levelled.

Telepathically, he called her name. She immediately turned around and walked to his feet. He cocked a brow and knelt on one knee and told her to climb on his shoulder.

She jumped on his arm and climbed to his shoulder, looking at him with a look of achievement, as if demanding praise.

He grinned and rubbed her head as he stood up, ending his little experiment and walking towards a cottage he saw nearby, atop a hill.

They slowly made their way to the cottage. The door was slightly ajar, he took a peek into the room and it was dark, save for the scattered rays of moonlight penetrating through the opened windows, making the house even eerier.

He quietly pushed open the door and walked inside as silently as he could.
