Saphira, Come.

The air in the cave was thick as he stepped into its depths. He grabbed a touch off of the wall as he proceeded into the cave. The flickering lights of the torch cast eerie shadows on the wall, giving illusions of movement and Lucian could swear he felt the weight of unseen eyes watching his every move.

He didn't walk for long till he reached a crossroad leading to two different paths.

Saphira who had always stayed put obediently in his pet space came out on her own accord and sniffed the air in front of both passages for a few seconds before using a tiny bolt of lightning to point towards the left before returning to the pet space.

He paused for a second before continuing down the path Saphira pointed towards.

Walking further down the path, he found a stylish looking plate on the floor. He smirked; this was an all too familiar concept to him.

"A pressure plate, interesting." he grabbed a large piece of stone and moved back a considerable distance before throwing it on top of the pressure plate, triggering its mechanisms.

Immediately, a bunch of darts flew from one side of the wall to another continuously for a few seconds before stopping.

"Jeez, is this little dragon trying to get me killed?"

Eventually he ended up at a dead end with two rooms.

Placing his right hand on his hand on the hilt of his sword like Japanese characters, he swiftly pushed open the door, ready to hack at the first moving object in the room.

Opening the door though, the room was empty, he pushed open the second door and it was also empty. They were both bedrooms with enough bedrolls for four people.

"If they aren't here, then I'll have to prepare to face a wave of enemies farther in the cave."

He ransacked the rooms, looting every little useful object, from food and potions to some books about the world and famous battles of Skyrim. After making sure he did not miss anything, he retraced his steps and took the left path.

'Maybe she was just picking the less dangerous route.'

This path was a lot smoother to pass through compared to the previous one, there were no traps, and it was a little clean even.

"No traps and no contraptions. Then they're probably up ahead this route."

Crouching, he minimized his presence as much as he physically could and continued forward. It didn't take too long before he got to what seemed like the central area of their hideout.

The room was a lot more spacious. There was an elk being roasted on a spit in the middle of the room, chatting merrily. The man who seemed like the leader, along with two other men stood up, each grabbing a mug of mead. The lack of focus in their eyes gave away the fact that they were drunk.

'This is my lucky day!' Lucian thought before getting closer.

With a plan in mind, he activated the active skill of the dragon bone sword, increasing his magika and speed by 100 and 20 respectively.

Immediately, he activated the dragon veil and dashed towards them a little more, gathering magic in both of his hands at the same time for a short while. At the same time, he launched two firebolts right towards the leader's head. His head exploded on impact, blood and flesh splattering all across the room.

With the outburst of magic disrupting his veil, he drew his sword and got into a fighting stance.

"What the hell. Is the boss dead?"

"Yeah. Seems to be done by this one. An assassin maybe."

"So, you decided to waltz in here, killing the leader and you think you'll leave here alive?" They immediately came charging with him.
