Dragon Lords

He crouched on the floor and took deep breaths, relaxing for a few minutes. This was his first actual fight and it seemed to him that all the hours he spent as a couch potato, gaming his life away turned out to be worth it in the end.

After catching his breath, he ransacked the entire room, turning the bodies upside down to take a look at their weapons.

Pausing for a second in-between, he facepalmed himself. "Of course, a sword of that caliber would only be accessible to the leader."

He flipped the decapacitated corpse of the leader over, took the scabbard off of his back and unsheathed the sword. The subtle fiery aura around it confirmed that it was indeed the sword he was looking for. He didn't even bother to inspect it any further and just sheathed it, flinging it over his shoulder.

He also found a key chain with a couple of keys attached to the belt of the leader. He ripped it away from the belt and went to test each key on a small door standing in the corner of the room.

Eventually, one of the key worked, and the door opened. He entered the room and found a few pieces of gear here and there. There were two shelves holding some food, soul gems of different rarities and couple of health potions. He also grabbed their coin pouch containing about a sum of 200 gold.

After he finished emptying up their little treasury, he left the cave, returning Saphira to the pet space before heading back to Whiterun.

It was very late when he got back. He returned to the inn and rented a room for the night.

After waking up the next day, he packed up and headed for the Warmaiden's when it was around 9 in the morning. He dropped the sword on the counter and gazed at War-Bear awaiting his payment.

War-Bear drew the sword, taking a proper look at it, nodding his head, "This is indeed my sword. The quality of craftsmanship is hard to replicate. Hahaha!"

"You've done a great job and have done me a favor. Here's the payment, as promised."

War-Bear brought out a pouch of gold from underneath the counter. "500 gold. If you want to get some battle gear as well, I could give you for a fair price."

It was obvious he wanted to earn his gold back by selling his 'not-so-good' pieces to him.

"I actually have some things I want to sell to you. Pieces of armor that may be a nice addition to your stall. But first I need to know something." Lucian said, putting the gold in his bag.

"Go on."

Lucian recalled how that one man seemed to behave after he saw him pick out a potion from mid-air. "Do you know of anybody possessing spatial powers? The ability to bring things out of midair for example."

War-Bear paused, then stared at him in shock. He quickly collected himself and peeked through the windows in the store before shutting them.

He sized Lucian up before continuing, "Normally, no one in the whole continent possesses abilities of that kind..."

"Except...?" Lucian probed.

War-Bear sighed, "Dragon Lords."

"They have the abilities to store and extract items from thin air, as history book claims. They also have the ability to use up the effect of a potion in one go."

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know if you haven't had the chance to come across any history book. It's almost general knowledge that they can immediately heal severe wounds just by downing a health potion. Normally, even the strongest health potions would take a few minutes to completely take effect, but not for them."

"So, you've never seen them before?"

"Seen them before? I forbid such cruel luck. They are demonic mongrels colluding with those devious beasts to destroy the continent." he feigned spitting, showing his disgust of them.

Lucian's eye twitched several times, "Yeah... Thanks for the lesson on history. I'll go get the gear I want to sell to you now." He said and promptly left the store.
