1 Remember (1)

Apart from the gentle sound of the shower, Aian could hear the sound of the winter wind wrestle through the trees outside. As she let the water run down her slender body, she could not stop her thoughts. she couldn't help being transported back to the past.

"Ro Gian you are being unreasonable, you say you want Aian to fly,but i swear you are clipping her wings. you know better than I what Aian is capable... "

"I want Aian to have a normal life Brother Siun" Aian could hear her fathers firm voice silence her uncle's . She had creped into her fathers study and had picked up some documents from the stack on the table. she was currently hiding in a small shelf large enough to fit her little body. Since she had finished reading every single book in the Ro mansion two weeks ago and had nothing else to read, she had felt empty. she had been sneaking into her fathers study to read his documents.

She remembered the look on Ro Gian and Ro Siun's faces when she had told her father that she needed new books.

Initially Ro Siun laughed cheerily. "Aian darling, there are over a thousand books in this house, are you saying you have read them all? "

"mhm" Aian gently replied as she nodded to her uncles question. Her uncle still had a smile on his face as he turned to Ro Gian and said something, Ro gian replied. Aian didn't hear what he had said but could see a conversation starting up. she was aware of her uncles teasing, afraid that she didn't sound convincing enough she blurted out as loud as she could. "yes,i have!"

when she saw the look on their faces, she couldn't help but regret her tone of voice a little. she didn't mean to scream. it was just that she missed them so much.

"i can prove it" she said, ignoring Ro gian and Ro Siuns shocked faces. " Pick up any book and ask me any question "

Ro siun didn't know why he walked over to shelf after shelf and picked up a random stack of books almost reaching his jaw. he placed them on the desk behind him and one after the other he flipped the pages and asked Aian questions. after the first book he was shocked, but shock grew to admiration at Aian's perfect answers as he reached the bottom of the stack.

Ro Gian was silent. looking at Aian he remembered Seiya, Aian looked just like her mother. Grief flashed through his eyes as he remembered the accident that had claimed their lives. he remembered how lively Aian was when her mother and older brother where alive. He could still hear the squeals from Aian as she played happily with Aigin. There was always joy in her eyes, those eyes that where now always stuck in books and never smiling. Her eyes reminded him of the pain,he had lost Seiya his love and Ro Aigin his only son. How could he bare to keep looking into those eyes, it was the reason he had left Aian to do whatever she liked, he gave her whatever she wanted as soon as she asked, he would do anything and give anything, except look into those eyes.

Today because of her actions he had been forced to look into those eyes. Gian when did you grow so selfish, the emptiness in her eyes made him chide himself. Aian deserved so much more.

"we will get you new books immediately, someone come get the young miss whatever book she wants" Ro siuns excited voice drew Gian out of his thoughts.

"no" Just as a servant was about to rush towards Aian to take a lists of what she wanted, he was stopped in his tracks by Ro Gian's word. when last had they heard their master refuse the little miss. some of the other servants were totally shocked the master had never refused Aian before.

"Aian has read enough books" Ro Gian continued, he turned to his daughter and added so gently. "You should play more often, leave the books for only study time".

Aian nodded but she didn't agree. she did not want to play.

Without Aigin or mother playing grieved her, smiling grieved her even eating made her sad. she only ate what she needed but that was it. Doing the things she, Aigin and mother enjoyed doing hurt her so bad. Reading was all she could do to forget them, to drown the pain.

So from that day Aian decided that she would sneak into her fathers study to read his documents. After all he brought in new ones almost everyday. This was the reason she was there that day as she listened to her father and uncle exchange words.
