9 9. Dynamic Duo Part 2

The two were walking briskly through the uneven path. It was their first raid together. And they want it to be memorable as possible as it can. Demiurgus has something to do. That's the reason why he would not be able to come with them and watch them annihilate an entire dungeon all by themselves.

"We should have spar first, Fritz," Newt said excitedly. "We only saw each other fight monsters once. Tactics and coordination would do a lot."

After going through a lot of hardship. Training his body and mind for three months was no easy feat. Demiurgus was benignant when it came to normal and simple things. But when it comes to his training lessons, Demiurgus becomes stringent. He does not like people who slack off all the time and procrastinate. That's what angers him the most.

The only reason why he decided to train and teach Fritz was, he saw potential in the kid. He has this intuition that if he laid eyes on someone, he would right away know what kind of person. He is, and he will be. He knew what awaited Fritz in the future.

Fritz and Newt reached their destination. The trees in the woods were illness earthy colored. Grains of toxin begrimed the bark and sparkled like witch dust. Savages frequented the dirty coppices, salivating over their prey and spreading the blood over their weighty countenances. The rotting air and smothering air gave the ideal dwelling place to the individuals who revered the murkiness as opposed to the light. In the thick shadows, creepy crawlies grasped their catch strings. Their networks gleamed like coincided steel dunked in silver. Eyes a-fire with hunger, they wanted to eat on swelled bodies and guzzle on hot blood.

The backwoods was the early stage. Exceptionally old trees with rambling appendages watched the haziness, abrogating any daylight. Their bark was mottled and splotched as though percolated soup had been frozen on schedule on its surface. Clumpy brushes of wet greenery hung from their spoiled branches. Under the greenery, deadly larkspur peppered the mulchy floor. A sharp tang overflowed from each aware being in the woods. Bewailing sounds ghosted through the trees. Regardless of whether it was from casualty or victor, just the timberland could tell. It was really a spot to make your veins freeze solid. Everything considered eatable in another woods was sickening here. It left you with the equivalent, nauseating taste of your own blood. It was a woods to be evaded.

Goosebumps ran down Newt's spine. "I think Demiurgus tricked us. This forest looks, sounds, and smells really dangerous, bleugh!" The smell that was coming from the forest was really sickening to the core. He could barely breathe through his nose and, he could feel insides turning upside-down.

"Ugh, the smell! I can't stand it!" The two kids were breathing through their mouths to lessen the sickening smell. "Let's hurry up and look for the dungeon immediately!"

The two stride towards the less muddy path without care. It was still hard, running through it. Nearby monsters sensed their presence. The Dirty Monsters, The Poison Spitting Spiders, and The Burnt Phantom Bulls were on their way. The Dirty Monsters began towards the sprinting kids. 

Their body was covered in red mud, making them slow-moving. The 

Poison Spitting Spiders fires lethal web ball. If one ever touches its web, the captured prey will slowly emit its poison mixed in the webstring. The Burnt Phantom Bulls charged to their locations. Their horns pointed to the two.

"This is bad, really bad!" The past three months, Fritz made himself flexible. And also sharpened his flexibility. Gaining keen senses. It was too early for them to engage in a battle against monsters. They need to save their energy for them to clear the dungeon. And their food, it's not plenty enough. They have like a day worth of food and water. Fritz was given empty water bottles. He brought out his Blemish Dagger from his inventory. "Damn monsters! Newt, you can take care of yourself, right?!"

"You don't need to worry about me! I think it's you who needs a hand!" The two were one meter apart from each other. And monsters were coming from everywhere. Newt has two swords, the Holy Sword of 

Aegeus, Extinction, Gift of Blessings. And the other was Light's Bane. He decided to wield the latter, unsheathing the sword. It was heavy for a 7 years old boy to wield a bane, but the kid was exceptional. Through the power of the holy sword, Newt can wield any sword and, its weight would adjust him. Making the sword lighter.

"Don't screw with me," Fritz grinned as he easily dodged the web, the spiders spat. He clutched onto his dagger and lunged towards the incoming Dirty Monsters. "What?! The dagger didn't reach its body, only the mud?" He leaped back when he learned that he failed to take out at least one of the monsters.

"Fritz, watch out!" Newt exclaimed.

Upon leaping back to distance himself from the monsters, Fritz encountered one of the Burnt Phantom Bulls. He swerved around and attacked the bull at the same time.

"For a bull, your skin's pretty flimsy." The grin on his face never fades away. The hurt bull targeted Fritz with a scowl on its face. "Oh, so you're still coming at me, huh?"

[Do you wish to form a party with Newt?]

[Yes or No]

'Huh?' Fritz was stunned to see the system message. 'Form a party? Is that beneficial?' He asked.

[Yes, it is. In fact, forming a party with someone can increase your EXP multiplier. It varies on how many members you've formed with. However, the maximum number of members you can invite is one. Your party will grow as you grow and become powerful.]

'That's good then! I thought the EXP would be spit into the two of us. 

Okay, I'll form a party with him.'

The system shows that Fritz and Newt were at a party. He could see Newt's HP and MP. He also showed the EXP multiplier, which was 1.5 at the time. He was pumped up, fear was overcome, so he faced the bull head-on.

"This is how you teach a bull a lesson. First, establish your position as the boss!"

Fritz stayed calm and assertive at all times and never hesitated. As with most animals, a bluff of dominance and superior strength can result in the bull regarding you as the leader; this must begin when the bull is young. 

Never engage in play with a young bull; this will encourage a belief in superior dominance. If your bull exhibits signs of dominance, seriously consider the safest and responsible choice, which is handling them the rough way. Never turn your back on a bull, and always carry a means of protection - an example is a dagger.

The kid swiped fast his foe's defenses, exposing their vulnerability. He raked his dagger across the bull, leaving it bleeding. He then slashed his foe and struck deeply into it, inflicting multiple conditions. Rip his blade through his foe twice, inflicting heavy bleeding. Finally, the bull fell down and, Fritz gained EXP.

Newt dealt with the hard-to-cut Dirty Monsters. With his sword, Light's Bane, dealing with those puny monsters was an easy feat. He cut them into two, went to the other, and did the same. He swiftly killed the remaining three dirty monsters. On Fritz's side, he decided to deal with the burnt bulls first. The two avoided the spiders as much as possible. They would save the spider for the last. Both, showing superiority to the monsters, made them falter and scatter away. The only monsters left in the area were the Poison Spitting Spiders.
