4 Training

The next day before training was to begin Jake was studying in the library on the local surroundings and history.

It was quite an interesting world prior to Jake's additions, there were many powerful monsters and Gods seemed to exist.

The famous ones were Tryndamere the god of War, Kha'Zix the god of the Hunt, and Soraka the goddess of Life. This made Jake involuntarily laugh out loud, the names were the same as his game!

What's next? A real life spirit visage? An infinity edge? Well I suppose they would be real if I made them, but most of the items are too insane.

Jake exited the library after spending a good amount of time reading and then made his way to the arena, where the training for today would take place.

On his arrival there was nobody in the arena seats, the only people there were in a single file line being instructed by a guy in front of him.

One of the males in line was the guy Jake previously met, the man with the overcoat. He of course also noticed Jake which made quite an awkward atmosphere.

Ah. I guess he didn't get denied.. Well he'll die soon anyway.

The instructor noticed Jake and quickly pointed for him to join the line.

"Okay.. I'm going to read off the names now. Shin!" "Here!" "Diana" "Here." "Jake" "Here!"

This went on for a time until everybody was accounted for.

"For today's training you will all attempt to defeat me in a duel! Afterwards you are all to practice training the basics of swordsmanship and parrying! The worst results will clean this entire arena!"

Everybody in line groaned. Not only were they going to be hurt and defeated in a duel, they had to go through with the exhausting and boring tasks of the basics. Their only motivator was the fact that none of them wanted to clean the arena.

Everyone was defeated one by one until it was Jake's turn. He walked up when he was called and prepared himself. The instructor and him were both wielding wooden swords.

Jake readied his stance and the instructors eyes widened in surprise.

His stance.. it's quite unique!

He was then rushed by the instructor who aimed for his chest, Jake quickly dodged to the right using footwork and hit the sword downward causing the instructor to stumble a bit, this angered him greatly.

Blinded by rage he went to stab Jake's neck but Jake twisted his sword upward and hit the Instructors throat!

The instructor fell and all eyes were on Jake..

How did he do that? Was this truly the Jake who had just started training?

Everyone stared in disbelief, the one who was most shocked wasn't the instructor, it was Jake!

It seems that the people here haven't trained that often since my addition to the passive skill for swords.. This will give me an advantage.

Jake smiled and went back into the line with an aura of a strong warrior.
