Chapter 1

*Ring ring ring ring ring* Came the ringing sound of a cellphone as a hand stretched from under the sheet and held the phone. It pulled the cellphone inside the sheet.

"Hello" A male voice came from under the sheet.

"Don't hello me Adrian Aize!!! You know there is so much work here and everyone has already arrived. They are all busy doing their works and I have to still prepare for the holiday trip. Now bring your ass here asap or you will face consequences!!!" A loud female voice was heard from the other side of the phone.

"Yes Ma'am!!" The male voice said hurriedly.

*Beep* The line was cut after the male's answer.

"Tch this bitch is too much. Why does she bother me" The voice said as the sheet was pulled over and a man sat up rubbing his eyes. He had a normal face with slight beard and dark hair. Although his physique was good as one could see a well toned body under the T-shirt he wore.

This person was Adrian Aize, 26 years old, a common man working for a big textile company named Arlenes. His post wasn't that great and he had to do overtime from time to time, not even mentioning his bitch of a boss who would always harass him with extra work. But he didn't complain much. because the pay was good.

Today Adrian had actually taken a break asking for a days leave so he could take rest from all those overwork he had been doing in these few days but his boss Karina again called him in the name in the name of urgent work and threatened him if he failed to show up.

Getting up from his bed he looked at the clock hanging on the wall. It was 9:30 A.M.

"Shit I have to hurry." Adrian said looking at the time.

He quickly went to his bathroom and freshened up. He wore his office uniform and quickly got out of his home. He used to live in a house of his own left by his grandparents. His parents actually passed away when he was a kid in a plane crash so his grandparents took him in and brought him with love and care. But fate was also cruel to him as his grandparents also passed away when he was a 20 years old. Luckily he didn't had to suffer financially as his grandparents left him a fortune and a house which was in the main city.

Adrian didn't have much friends as he from a early time started to understand the nature of man. After his parents died, his uncle had actually robbed him of the money his parents left for him. This was also not the end as he grew up he started to understand that his si called friends always talked behind his back. Things went south when he was 16 years old.

*Flashback*

One day he and his friend he considered as a brother went to a expensive watch shop.His friend said that he was going to look for a watch for his little sister. He was going to give it her as a gift because her birthday was in a few days too which they were planning to celebrate in Adrien's house and left him. After some he returned with a small box and handed to Adrian saying something. And after buying a watch for his grandmother's birthday the two left the shop. They reached his house and had fun for some times after which his friend left.

On the next day the police arrived at his home with his friend. The policemen said that they were here to search for stolen goods and wanted to search his house.

Adrian was shocked, he didn't know what was going on as he looked at his friend who was with them. But surprisingly his friend refused to look at his eyes. Adrian had a sinking feeling in his heart.

The policemen entered his house and started to search. They said something to his friend and he quickly went upstairs into Adrian's room. The policemen followed him along with Adrian.

In his room they saw his friend searching for something under his bed. He slowly pulled out a small box from under his bed and handed it to the police. Seeing this Adrian was shocked.

The police opened the box and inside it was a diamond studded gold watch. After this they apprehended Adrian and took him to the police station.

His grandparents who were actually visiting a different city to meet with their relatives were informed of this and they quickly returned to the city.

In the police station Adrian was questioned about it and he denied everything. The police showed him the video in which his friend who was caught stealing the watch in the CCTV camera. In the video he saw his friend stealing the watch and which he came to Adrian.

Seeing this he at once remembered what happened. Yesterday when they were at the shop, his friend left him to buy a watch and returned with one. He said that he wanted to give this watch to his sister with a surprise and asked Adrian to keep it with him for sometimes. He accepted and after they reached his house he hid it under his bed. He then informed his friend where he hid it.

After seeing the video he clenched his teeth and said to the policemen that his friend was trying to frame him. The policemen informed him that his friend when they caught him, said that Adrian was the one who forced him to steal the watch and that most of the evidence was against him and they could only look into the cases and evidence but Adrien would have to stay in the police station.

After a few hours his grandparents came and had a proper discussion with the policemen. The policemen also called the owner of the store after which they negotiated with him and came to a certain settlement according to which his grandparents would have to pay an amount in exchange for their grandson to be released. His grandparents accepted the terms and paid up the amount.

Soon they returned to their home and asked Adrian about everything. Adrian explained everything. He felt betrayed and hateful. After that event he never contacted his so called friends and also made his distance from other friends.

*Flashback end*

Remembering this brought a sour taste in his mouth. After that event he never truly made any friends again. Most people he met were at best acquaintance to him. After that his grandparents too passed away few years later leaving him alone. He joined the Arlenes textile company and settled properly although he had do overtimes and hear the nagging of his boss he was happy that he didn't get time to think about his past.

After getting ready and eating the breakfast quickly he left his home in his car.

In Fifteen minutes he reached his work place. It was a large building standing tall in the commercial district. People were walking all around busy in their work. He parked his car in the parking lot and walked towards the building. He reached the entrance of the building and stopped to look at the massive structure.

"Sheesh I made it in time." Adrian said looking at his watch.
