Morning came and sun rays trickled into the room through the spaces in the curtains. Riya opened her eyes slowly and yawned stretching her limbs before getting out of bed and headed straight to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She got into the bathroom and started brushing while she took little time to stare at her reflection in the mirror, she looked more like a ghost, yesterday's incident and trauma was still lingering. When she was done brushing, she splashed some water on her face repeatedly and stretched her hands to get a towel to clean her face. Getting the towel she dabbed at her face while staring at her reflection, her wavy long brown hair looked disheveled and her baby blue eyes now stood out on her face because of the paleness of her face currently. Riya smiled remembering her parents, she had gotten the eyes from her father and the hair colour from her mum. She wondered what her mum was doing right now, she missed her terribly.

"Wonder what she would think if i told her what I saw yesterday" she muttered.

Dropping the towel, she gathered her disheveled hair and secured it in a ponytail with a rubber band. She then turned to leave when she noticed someone standing behind her in the mirror, she gasps and turned immediately but saw nothing. She looked into the mirror again and saw nothing too.

WTF!!!! she thought.

She quickly left the bathroom and went to open the curtains in her room. The street wasn't that busy as usual, this part of Sleepy hollow wasn't that busy because it was mostly a residential area compared to Mr Andrew's street.

Looking at the streets from the window, she sighed. " So peaceful, if only I could get that peace in here" she murmured before rolling her eyes.

She stepped away from the window and went to the kitchen to make breakfast. She decided to make pancakes to go with maple syrup and coffee. When she was done she ate at the table in the living room going through random videos on the internet smiling at some hilarious ones. Her phone then rang, it was Rick calling her. She considered ignoring it because she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone but the calls were persistent.

Classic Rick. She thought

She dropped the phone and took the dirty dish to the sink to wash them. She washed them quickly and went to the back of the house to see how her flowers were doing. When she got there she took closer looks at the lilies and roses because they were more fragile. She decided to do some cutting and trimming and also weeding as she hadn't been giving her garden much attention lately because she was busy lately looking for a job. Riya had spent the last six months on her savings, she felt it was time to finally get up and get a job like every other person, she would prefer a Tour officer, but so far all she has gotten is a library attendant at the Sleepy hollow library and she really wasn't a literature fan, she'd bore the customers off.

She stood up after working for close to half an hour, just then the neighbor across waved at her, she waved back at him and smiled before deciding to go inside to get water. Turning around to go inside, she walked around the window in the living room outlooking the street and heading to the front door when something got her attention, no someone actually.

She walked backwards to the window she had walked pass slowly and saw a man standing there inside her living room conveniently looking back at her. He had a long coat on with gloves and a hat, if you wanted to let your imaginations run wild, you'd say his wardrobe choice was that of someone from the Matrix.

She looked around alert to see if anyone else was around only to look back at the window and he was gone, She went pale immediately freaked out and screamed running to stand in the middle of the street.

" You okay miss Sindell?" The neighbor opposite who waved her not long ago asked concern evident in his voice

She turned around immediately hearing his voice and tried to smile to make the situation less weird.

" Yes I'm good, just thought I saw a snake slithering in the garden" she lied

" Ohhhh you mind if I come check?" he replied walking to where she stood concern still etched on his voice

" Ohh please please Mr..."

"Mr Jackson, you can just call me Tony" he offered smiling

"Thank you Mr.... Jackson, I think I saw it just there" she pointed at a spot in the garden lieing again.

"Humans, such funny creatures" Elijah said while watching the girl from the house.

To think that he had been given this assignment by the Master only to get mixed up with this human, who would have thought a human would be the key? he chuckled.

Most importantly this body he had taken was very uncomfortable, such a weight to carry about, he scoffed.

Standing there for a while watching the human converse with a man outside, he decided to leave and keep a far watch for now, he had only come this close to play games with her head for his amusement because he had gotten bored just watching her for over two months according to the human time. Now with one of those slithering demons showing up and with a body already, he had to be at alert. Hearing her try to round up the conversation with the man, he decided to leave, he turned around snapped his fingers and immediately vanished.

Mr Jackson stepped around her and walked steadily with caution to the garden, he looked around but found nothing, he then walked back to stand in front of her.

" Couldn't find nothing, could have slipped away, be careful next time miss Sindell" he said offering a reassuring smile.

"I'll keep that in mind Mr Jackson, thank you" she said returning the smile.

"You're welcome anytime Miss Sindell, and stop by anytime too, my wife would be glad to host you"

" Ohh that's kind of you, thank you"

He nodded and walked into his house across the road. She turned back towards her house and walked hesitantly towards it

It's all in ur head, it's all in ur head!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she kept on chanting in her head as she got to the front door.

She opened the door and stepped into the house slowly looking at every corner, after she was done checking everywhere and found nothing, she relaxed and sat down in the living room. She picked up her phone and saw that Rick had called her over three times and left a message. She opened the message and read it out loud.

{ Yo!!!! watsup Riri I've been tryna reach u, just wanted to remind u we have plans today, call me back when u see this , or text.}

Ohh yeah, she had totally forgotten about that. She replied his message telling him she'll make it then went upstairs to shower.

In less than Twenty minutes she was done bathing, she dried and combed her hair then picked out a jean and a blue crop top that matched her eyes. She got dressed and just decided to go with sneakers as she didn't want to look like she was doing too much.

When she was done dressing, she picked up her bag and phone then stepped out of the house locking the door.

Far away sitting in a car, Elijah's eyes zoomed in on her leaving the house, he immediately followed from a distance.

"This little puppy just doesn't sit in a place" he sighed, " going to see your boyfriend again?" he asked out loud.

Riya continued walking towards Mr Andrew's street which seemed like forever as she didn't and just couldn't take another alley, who knows what would happen this time? she rolled her eyes internally.

She got to the street where Mr Andrew's bar was and stopped a taxi, she would have stopped by his bar, but he wasn't always open during the day. she got into the taxi and leaned forward telling the driver the address.

On her way, she called Rick and informed him that she was on her way, incase he wanted to get anything outside for lunch. Rick wasn't really the type to eat a lot of junk food so she was sure they'd be cooking together for lunch. Rick picked up and said he had everything they needed at home, she then ended the call and leaned backwards resting her head.

The taxi parked in front of Rick's house, he was sitting outside probably receiving fresh air out of boredom or waiting for her, she wasn't sure which. She smiled at him as she got down from the taxi and walked towards his front porch.
