1 Here we go again.

"Lich king, I'm here for your head!" A young man, with blond hair, crimson eyes, and a finely trimmed beard, yelled as he kicked down a giant wooden door.

Walking into the room he looked around and spotted a throne with a figure sitting on it, the figure had an expression of annoyance on his face. His name Mark, he was an undead, kinda.

Mark had a short nose green eyes and a delicate face, well half of one anyway. on Mark's right side of his body, he looked like a perfectly healthy elf, long ears hair with a light green tint, but on his left, there was only a skeleton. In the pure, untainted white of the skull of the skeleton, there was one glowing red eye. The rest of the head was, well a skeleton, nothing more nothing less, but if you looked inside you could see the organs and blood of Mark's right half. The heart was beating the blood was flowing and mark sat there unmoving.

"I've told you before, I'm no lich. I'm a half skeleton!" Mark said in a deep gravelly voice. His voice so filled with power and mana that the 'hero' and his party had a hard time not falling to their knees.

"Now, tell me why you are here." Mark said, controlling his aura to put more pressure on the hero

"I'm here for your head!" the hero yelled, although with some difficulty.

"Yes, but why?" mark asked curiously, he had done nothing to the humans, and they nothing to him.

"Hahaha, Like you don't know." The hero gave a sarcastic laugh as his eyes went cold with a hint of disdain as he continued. "You let that animal FILTH, mingle with those of superior blood, this is UNFORGIVABLE, You let those that should serve you and me, just go free and do whatever! It's disgusting so I came here to end it! I came here to end you and your god damned kingdom!" The hero screamed.

"animal filth? Do you mean the beast-kin? If so you should leave. I don't like it when people threaten my citizens or my kingdom." mark said with disdain

"I won't leave, not until I destroy this kingdom and show those damn beasts their place!" he screamed.

"hmmph, fine then. If it is a fight you want, I will fulfill your wish." after saying this, mark suddenly stopped as he realized something. "wait, what do you mean superior blood? Other than beast-kin the only ones who live in the center kingdom are demons, elves, and a few angels. though you can't forget undead, but technically they don't 'live'." Mark asked.

"I mean the Angel's, are you stupid?" the hero said with a mocking grin, he had long since adjusted to the pressure.

"Oh right, you humans do believe them to be divine, don't you? Well whatever, let's kill each other now." Mark said with a smile, though with him only having half of a living body and the other a skeleton, it was quite a scary sight.

Hearing this the hero smiled. he unsheathed the sword on his back and spread apart his feet and entered a battle stance. While the hero was preparing, Mark was mentally sighing and casting a spell.

Though, it wasn't just some run-of-the-mill combat or healing spell, no. It was a spell Mark had worked on for millennia, the spell of Reincarnation. when mark finished almost half of his massive mana pool was gone.

'It took more mana than I was expecting. Though that won't be much of a problem.' he thought.

After that he prepared spells for the battle, he also reached into a separate dimension and pulled out a magnificent staff. The staff was pure platinum with magic formations made of gold all over it. at the top of the staff was a skull made of a red rock similar looking to ruby. The skull had a crown of transparent blue mana stones.

"Welp, here we go again."

Dashing forward the hero had a bloodthirsty smile on his face. Reaching mark in less than a second, he slashed down. but all he hit was air.

appearing a few meters from the hero, Mark had an apparently bored expression, but that was far from the truth.

'Hmm, he sure is fast. Faster than last time for sure.' Mark thought. ' Though the thing about swords is they are useless if you're out of ran-' Mark held his thought as the hero noticed him and immediately thrusted his sword in his direction, Following the hero's movements his sword began to extend until it reached Mark. Mark was still surprised, so he didn't react fast enough as a blade pierced his Head and skull.

And then it ended. After Mark's death, the kingdom fell. He was their guiding hand, their king, but he was dead.

Or so they thought.
