episode 64 The 4PM bookstacks

The team have returned to the chemistry lab after the incident at the Hell of Mirrors, now they have to plan a way to get to the God of death.

Wreck: this is unnecessarily taunting, why would the God of death "Thanatos" be there? Seems he knows what we're up to… "Thanatos" goes by many names, "Shinigami", "Hel", "Pluto", typically any religion that resembles God of death, more than that he's not the God of death for nothing, there is one rule when it comes to him, he controls death, which makes him unkillable.

Keti: didn't you already say that a belief cannot be killed?

Wreck: [stand up] for someone like "Grimm Troupes", they are mysteries, you can't compare the 2, "Grimm" is a made-up figure using rumors, imaginations and fiction, however the mysteries have their own origins, that makes them much more alive, in order to meet every mystery conditions must be met.

Seth: so, what's the plan now? Shall we barge into his domain?

Wreck: I'm afraid that would be fatal without even feeling anything, unlike the way we entered "Shijima's" domain, this is instant death… if we're going to enter his domain, we should do it in a proper way.

Keti: and that would be through the book stacks, right?

Puri: we're going to "Thanatos's" domain, are the 2 mysteries connected?

Wreck: it's not that they are connection between, it's about the books that we need, it's more like a code of teleportation, speaking of coding have you ever played a cube like game where you can build stuff with blocks? A game world which is infinite that you can also check out the coordinates of any position.

Fey: is it one of those RPG computers games? I only play on consoles.

Wreck: in this game you can use cheats using a text, let's just say you want to teleport to a certain coordinates or player, but if the player is in a different world that would mean you can't teleport to that player unless the both of you are in the same world.

Keti: and by entering those books we can teleport to the domain!

Seth: what are we even waiting for? let's get going right now.

Wreck: the 4PM bookstacks, a mystery will appear at exactly 4PM, "Tsuchigomori" would expect certain payment in order for us to enter and grab some books, however payment doesn't always mean money.

The team went to the library at exactly 3:59PM and waited within the halls.

Wreck: now remember, until he arrives, we should at least ask him for the certain books that we need.

It is now 4PM and suddenly the atmosphere within the library has shifted, "Tsuchigomori" arrives in front of them, a tall man wearing tuxedo with a monocle.

Tsuchigomori: what brings children to be gathered at the 4PM bookstacks?

Wreck: "Tsuchigomori", I assume you know what we're here for.

Keti: we also want you to sign this sheet please.

Tsuchigomori: …[sigh] there are 3 fiends that suddenly been popping in each one of those story books recently, children were being traumatized from opening them these days.

Seth: what does that have to do with the main objective?

Wreck: if we bring you those fiends, are you going to eat them?

Tsuchigomori: what else can I do? Can't entrust them to "Grimm", can I?

Keti: good point, let's go guys.

Puri: [confused] so, we're going for some spirit hunting?

Keti: we better hurry it up, the God of death is waiting.

Seth: how are we going to know the spirits are in one of these books?

Wreck: all we need is an exorcist to track them down, good thing we have "Inaba Puri" here.

Puri: [excited] (the team is counting on me! I have to show them what I'm capable of) stand back you guys, I need to focus… [point out] they are there, all 3 of them.

They went to grab the book and find out the spirits are in the "Mobey-Daic" story.

Keti: a story about a giant whale, "Mobey-Daic" is one of the classics that anyone would read, but not that good of a story.

Wreck: to enter the book, you must focus into it, let your minds synchronize alongside the book before you.

The moment all of them focused carefully, they all got sucked into the book, their clothes have been replaced with pirate/sailor uniform.

Fey: we are pirates now, going on an adventure to stop the evil spirits.

Puri: I get we need to stop them, but why the pirate uniform?

Wreck: there is no room for school uniforms in this book, that's why the story itself had to replace the clothing.

Keti: is the story even alive? [yell] can we at least have "MC Sparrow" on our side?

Wreck: you can't ask it to add more characters in this story, it should always play as the book suggests.

Keti: bummer, and what about the plagiarized "Mobey-Daic".

Puri: be careful you guys, they're here.

The 3 spirits were hidden around the ship, 2 spirits appeared to have already possessed the captain and vice-captain.

Spirit (C): get off me ship, this is not a place for some children…wait, isn't that "Kalibur Alverice"?

Spirit (VC): crap, we're screwed if we ever tried to resist.

Puri: leave the 2 to me, I can handle them.

Seth: but where's the third one? I only see 2 people on this ship.

Wreck: this ship was only sailed by those 2, they brought no other men around, that makes the third spirit.

Eventually "Mobey-daic" appears bumping the ship, the giant whale that rips any ship with one bite.

Wreck: no doubt about it, it's "Mobey-Daic" himself.

Spirit (VC): unless we don't go as far as to destroy the only carriage that keeps us floating, "Kalibur", could you please let us continue exist in this book for the rest of eternity?

Wreck: … my names "Wreck Veganson", you can think of me as the reincarnation however you like however, [sit down] I'm not gonna be the one to stop you guys.

Spirit (C): does that mean we can do whatever we want with your new friends, you sure this is a good idea?

Keti: you're only going to watch just how are we going to deal with those spirit, you're not going to interfere unless we needed you.

Wreck: if I were to do anything I'm gonna one shot the spirits and end this adventure instantly.

The 2 spirits fought against "Puri", seeing how she was the first one to step forth, they both used their special tactics to trick and get her to lose focus, as they try to kill her by stabbing her in the vitals, she smiled the moment they both stab her, it turned out that it was a bomb trap, leaving their swords behind in order to escape, she appeared on the docks prepared a snake tactical attack, once they were both defeat, they got tied to a pillar.

Keti: good work, "Puri", you got some talents up your sleeve without even telling us.

Puri: [blush, happy] thanks.

Seth: so, what are we going to do with the big one? Since it never made a move yet.

Wreck: guess we don't need to do anything with "Mobey-Daic", just by looking at me he proved himself to be a softy, he won't risk destroying the ship when his comrades are at stake.

Spirit (C): [angry] damn you.

Wreck: it seems that it's over, a spirit that cares about his friends more than to risk killing everyone along with them, I believe it's time for you to leave that whale alone and safely come with us.

Spirit (C): [angry] (no, I'm not going anywhere, even if "Kalibur" demands it there's no way I'm just going to give in to them) [yell] I'm not done yet, just you watch.

He used his spirit powers and switched bodies with "Wreck".

Spirit (C): [laugh] "Kalibur", you fool…thought you could humiliate me? acting all mighty and powerful, now watch as I use your powers to kill those disciples of yours.

Keti: [confused] umm… "Wreck".

Wreck: it seems he had the ability to switch bodies, now it looks like I'm tied with this spirit.

Puri: [panic] why do you act so calm about it? Aren't you worried that he's going to use your body to destroy us?

Wreck: well, even if he did possess my body, I doubt he knows how to use my powers.

Spirit (C): [angry, yell] don't mock me, I know exactly how the magic eye functions, that goes with your potential gates.

The spirit captain tried to unleash the magic eye but nothing happens, he tried to concentrate harder it was going to risk "Wreck's" eyes

Spirit (C): [angry] damnit, why can't I use the eyes?

Seth: what is he even talking about?

Wreck: the magic eye needs a balanced delusional ideal to function in a way where malice and good heart are both intact, too bad I'm missing malice…or perhaps the magic eye was actually sealed way for good.

Spirit (C): [terrified] what? You weren't able to use the power of the eye? Don't get your hopes up just yet, [angry] I can still understand the other power up which is the potential gates, you can't stop me.

The whole team were on guard, the spirit captain tried using the potential gate and fight, "Keti" blocked his attack with no effort, it made him feel much more helpless and confused, suddenly he started shaking then fell on his knee full of despair.

Spirit (C): [terrified, despair] what's going on? This makes no sense, every potential gate has their own special powers, but yours…it's blank, it's completely blank, what kind of a life form is born with no source of power, [crying] this body is weak!

Wreck: …umm…can I have my body back?

"Wreck" got his body back; the team have already captured the 3 spirits and left the book.

Seth: wait, if "Wreck" has no attributes, then how can he still use one?

Wreck: there are many things people don't know about me, I am the attribute.

The team have brought the 3 spirits to "Tsuchigomori", though they look completely hopeless for the time being.

Tsuchigomori: thank you for bring me those 3 spirits and clear the book, now children will be able to read their books with no such panic, now for those spirits to meet their fate.

Keti: but before that…what would be the issue if you trap them in your own books?

Tsuchigomori: …very well, [smirk] might be a little fun to torture those bastards for their defiance…by the way, here are the books that you requested.

"Tsuchigomori" gave them the books and signed the sheet "Keti" provided.

Keti: you say it like it's a code for teleportation, but where's the logic in going inside a book inside another book?

Wreck: let's just say you enter a world, inside this world you entered another world, everyone's thought is going from one room to another, that's just a thought only people with low level of expertise would say, let's say you have a portable room in your pocket, open a portable room and you get a room, but what would happen if you had another portable room and you open it inside the room, will it break? Is it uncapable of handling the brethren that was released inside of it? The same question goes with the one inside…for something like a room inside a room you can't find the exit unless you close the current room you just opened…that's when the books in the 4PM bookstacks come in handy, the trick is you can actually open the first book again in order to escape the logic behind entering books once you enter a few books at the same time…alright, the God of Death awaits, let's do our best, you guys.
