Chapter2

#Chapter2

We prepared ourselves for the party. It was my first time attending a party thus I did not know what I should wear.

This caused me to try Shirley's dresses. For a whole hour, she picked up different dresses for me to try. Then she denied every single one I wore, until now. Finally, we settled on a Plain A — Sized blue dress with a black jacket.

She swirled me around after I had worn it. Checking for anything wrong. When she did not find anything wrong, she gave me a thumbs up and a slap on my butt to give her approval, which I warned her for.

She chose a green Knee — cut dress for herself. Then she dressed up as well. She insisted on doing my makeup, but I was adamant on not painting anything on my face.

Regardless of what I said, she remained stubborn. Hence, I let her put a little pink shade lip gloss on me and also some black mascara. When she asked me to look at myself in the mirror, I panicked and closed my eyes. Her irritating self literally dragged me and forced my eyes open to look at myself in the mirror. Defeated, I opened my eyes and looked in the mirror. My eyes found my own face.

I looked. . . Good.

Very good, actually.

For the first time in my life, I looked and felt Beautiful. I had never seen myself like this before, less than feel like it.

/"See. I told you that you look nice./" She said and somehow I agreed.

/"Okay now, stop staring at yourself. You are looking hot and you know it. Let's go./" She told me and I frowned at her. She rolled her eyes at me and shrugged on her jacket.

/"I am not making fun of you. You do look beautiful. How can you look at yourself in the mirror like this and not like your figure. Let's go or instead of guys, I would start hitting on you./" She said with a wink and I lowered my eyes to hide my blush. On the real side, I was feeling self — conscious but her words gave me confidence. Which I was thankful for.

I still didn't understand why, a free willed and open — minded girl like her, wanted to be friends with me? Especially with someone, as conservative as me.

/"You look. . . Good to./" I told her. She was looking good or. . . Hot if you would call it that. Her black skinny dress fit her perfectly. And her big and long earrings made her look too good.

/"Aww. . . my sweet little bird. Thank you for your compliment./" She said grabbing my cheeks and forcing them to pout right before she planted a kiss on my cheek.

/"You could just call me hot. I was born hot./" She said, and I removed her fingers that were jabbing me in my cheeks. She smiled and moved away to pick her car keys. And we left for the party in her car.

************

Twenty minutes later

Our car came to a stop and Shirley put the car in parking mode. We got out of the car and I gave her a nervous look. She closed the car door and smiled at me.

/"Don't worry. I will be with you the whole time and give you company./" She said. She came my way, and we started walking to the house. Abruptly, she grabbed my arm and stopped me.

/"Wait./" She said and fumbled with something in her bag. I glanced at the house. I could hear the sound of music coming from there. Some people were outside the house and some were hanging around.

/"Aha. Found it./" She said. My eyes darted towards whatever she had found. My brows furrowed at seeing a small size pack in her hand.

/"What is that?/" I asked her. Her eyes widened then turned normal after a look of understanding passed her eyes.

/"It's. . ./" She stretched it like elastic.

/"What? What is it?/" I asked her in a bit of an annoyed tone. She sighed.

/"It's a condom. Here. Keep one with you./" She said and my eyes widened in horror. I took a step back like she had physically pushed me back.

/"Oh ho./" She said in frustration. Without saying anything else, she snatched my purse from me and put the thing in my it. I shrieked in shock.

/"What are you doing?/" I asked her, trying to take my purse back, but she had already put that thing in it already.

/"You know I won't do anything like that. You KNOW, how my family is./" I said. I pulled that thing out of my purse and tried to hand it back to her. She grabbed my shoulders and looked me dead in the eyes.

/"You've been brave enough to come here, then be brave enough to carry one condom with you. If you won't do anything then you have no use for it. But if you do fall in a situation where you Might need it then this might help./" She told me. I just stood there dumbstruck. Unable to say anything.

/"If you are so sure that you won't have sex then chill. You don't need to get scared. But keep one with you. Just in case, scenario./" She said and slung her arm around my shoulder, forcing me to walk with her.

/"Let's go and have fun./" She said. We entered the house party. Shirley hugged, high — fived and introduced me to the people alongside her as we walked inside the house.

I felt like an awkward potato. Not really saying anything then Hi and Yeah I'm good, while I urged Shirley to leave them and walk inside the house.

All the time, she talked to other people, I remained silent except when someone directly asked Me a question.

Finally, we entered the kitchen and I saw my worst nightmare.

The most hated, egoistic, arrogant, dickhead and a bully person was sitting some far away from me with his bunch of idiotic fellows in the kitchen.

Blake Martin.

/"Oh damn./" I cursed under my breath and spun around before Blake could see me. I grabbed Shirley's hand and dragged her out of the kitchen.

/"Why didn't you tell me?/" I hissed at Shirley. Shirley frowned at me.

/"What didn't I tell you?/" She hissed back at me. Without spinning around, I pointed my finger behind my back. She looked behind us to see whom I was pointing at.

/"Blake?/" She said with an incredulous look. He was The meanest guy in our school. He was really good-looking, who spent his spare time in the gym, making abs. Not only that, but he's the most hated person among students who, very strangely, adored by some stupid idiots. Her surprise didn't faze me on the contrary, it boosted my anxiety more.

/"I literally asked people to make sure that he was not coming here. Then what the hell is he doing here?/" She asked and I shook my head.

/"He is unpredictable. And he doesn't need permission from anyone to enter a party./" I said. We both huffed out a breath.

/"C'mon. Let's dance. We'll come back once he leaves this place./" She told me. I opened my mouth to deny and tell her that I'm not dancing but her glare had me shutting my mouth.

/"Your family is not here. Remember that./" She told me before she dragged me onto the dance floor.

I started to move awkwardly on the rhythm with her. Soon she was surrounded by guys around her while I was pushed in the corner. I was thinking about leaving the stage when I was grabbed by my hips and was pulled behind. My head slammed into a hard chest and I saw his face.

/"Blake?/" I said and he grinned.
