FLASHBACK

(In Biology class...)

"Where have you been?" Asa whispered.

"Long story sis. Trust me, you really wanna know that later." Faith struggled with her books in her bag because of her pair of flip-flops. She has not realized that she had left her iPhone in Jason's car. While she was on that, a newbie came to the class and the lecturer welcomed him. He went straight to Faith while she was still head down.

"Babe, you forgot your phone in my car. Hope you were not too worried about it." All mouths opened. News spreading. Gossips at work. Immediately, Faith recognized that voice. Asa was dumbfounded, already giving her a questioning look.

"Hi! Hmm.....not at all. Thanks a bunch." 'WHAT IS HE DOING HERE?'

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

It was Sports Time! Faith ran out of the class to prevent hearing any more rumors about Jason and her. Besides, this period was her favorite, wearing purple-stripped yellow shorts and a yellow short shirt for some Basketball.

"What more can a brilliant girl like me want other than to fit for my future boyfriend?" Faith soliloquy.

"You mean, Jason," Asa spoke from nowhere. Faith was frightened. When she came down from high, she chased Asa around the changing room.

"I am so going to kill you! Stay where you are! I MEAN IT!" Faith's countenance changed. Asa knew that if she was a bit closer, she would surely be dead.

"No way! You tell me what happened, then I'll stop whining you." Asa could not control herself from laughing. Faith gave up and confessed, from A to Z. In the end, Faith blamed Asa for leaving her behind. Still laughing, she admitted her fault.

Just at the doorstep, both girls heard a loud noise. While Jason jogged down the aisle to the Basketball court with his favorite purple and white sport-wear, many girls hailed.

"It looks like your boyfriend already has fans, a lot of female fans, to be precise," Asa whispered in Faith's ears and smirked at her. Faith simply hissed at her face and left her laughing.

While Faith was warming up for the Girls' Game, Jason realized from just a few centimeters away that few threads from her shorts were loosed in such a way that further pulling will disgrace her big time. So, Jason jogged to where she was and pretended to offer her a bottle of water. However, he received a reaction that he never expected.

On the other hand, Faith overheard Hailey, the hottest girl in the whole class (obviously), telling her fellow busybodies what Jason did to her in the toilet. Little did Faith know that Hailey reported a direct opposite of what happened, but she said those lies to deliberately make Faith mad. Of course, Hailey was in the Biology class when Jason addressed her as his baby in front of everyone, including the teacher. So, Hailey assumed that they were dating.

When Jason offered her water, Faith did not know where the jealousy and anger came from. She threw the bottle from his hand before she realized it. Immediately, she regretted it and wanted to apologize but held herself back. She noticed the shock in his eyes so she avoided them.

"I do not know why you changed from being charming to being aggressive but please, be patient and hear me out," Jason whispered in her ears. His solemn and deep voice made her shiver. Jason noticed her uneasiness and stepped back a little. 'At least, she is calm.' He thought with a smile.

"You are about to be disgraced, babe. Few threads from your back shorts are out and will dangerously open up an unavoidable show if further pulled. My advice for you is to change....." Before Jason could finish his words, Faith ran off to the changing room. He burst into laughter immediately.

Being a bookworm, Asa would always prefer reading a novel or textbook to any other activity, whereas, Faith was always up to any task as long as it did not relate to politics. So, Asa was prepared to cheer Faith up, as always, with the crowd while Faith killed the game.

However, when it was time for the big game, Faith was nowhere. So quickly, the coach found a replacement. Still, Asa was worried. Then, she discovered that Jason was also worried. Asa ran to meet Jason and asked about Faith. With a sad face, Jason narrated everything, thinking he was at fault. So, both decided to meet Faith in the changing room.

While Asa and Jason ran to where Faith should be, she was still finding it hard to calm down. She paced to every corner of the room. She gave herself ridiculous questions.

"Why am I behaving this way?

"What is wrong with me?

"Why am I not calm?

"This is so strange.

"Do I like him?

"No! No! It can't be. He just came today.

"I need help, if not, I can't play well....."

Immediately she turned to the door, she got shocked and then embarrassed. Jason realized for the first time that his interaction could run a girl emotionally crazy. So, he turned around, about to leave the room. Before he could step out, Faith stopped him with a shout. Jason became worried and asked if anything is wrong.

"What happened with you and Hailey in the toilet before we came to the court?" It was obvious in her eyes that she needed nothing but the truth to clear some thoughts from her head.

"Say the truth!"
