Volume 1: The Demon King Arrives in Another World

Prologue

"Hold on, Seir-sama! I swear in my life that they wouldn't able to catch you, our new Demon King!"

Weakened and wounded, that's how I ended up after taking on my father into a duel, the current Demon King who rules all the Demon races and defeated him by narrow margin but unable to end his life due to exhaustion. My accomplice which was a half-demon with long silvery-white hair and my maidservant quickly took me away and escaped from the castle while being pursued by the Demon army.

"Don't let the prince get away! Kill that traitor on the spot!"

"Unforgivable!"

My maid jumped and slid down to the hill while carrying me on her back then she jumped between the river rocks to cross the river.

"Sorry for the trouble, Lilith. I can only rely on this."

"What are you talking about, Seir-sama? I told you... Regardless of your decisions, I will always follow you even it's betraying our home country."

"I can't call that place my home anymore after what they did to that small village. I'll never forgive him."

The images of village that's being swallowed by flames appeared in my mind and children with different races was lifeless on the ground after getting brutally slaughtered by the Demon army. That village hold a special place in my heart and I always sneaked out of the demon king's castle with Lilith just to hangout and play in that place. That special place was taken away from me and destroyed out of my father's order which made me furious and I ended up getting revenge on him. Unfortunately, I failed to end his life after I ran out of magic power because I was also fighting his generals. We have no choice but retreat from the castle.

"I failed to kill him, Lilith. They won't stop chasing us until they killed me. We have no places to hide in the demon territory. Humans or other races won't let us take refuge in their places. Unable to take the throne away from my father, only doom await us."

"Don't lose hope, Seir-sama! We'll take him down for sure next time."

In order to lessen the burden on her, I reverted back my body to my younger form which was really my original age and it will help me recover my body faster but it's not good for battle because of my small stature.

"We can get through this. Please believe in me--Huh?"

The gem in Lilith's necklace suddenly glowed a bright light and it's pulling her, pointing to a certain direction.

"My mom's necklace! It's leading us to something."

Lilith shook her head and followed the necklace. When we arrived, it was already dead end and in front of us was a steep cliff. The necklace was still glowing and it was leading us down the cliff.

"I'm sorry, Seir-sama. If I didn't follow this necklace, we wouldn't end into this situation." Lilith cried, feeling hopeless.

The demon army was already approaching our location and I didn't have any choice but to cling at the hope that the necklace led us.

"Jump, Lilith!"

"But Seir-sama... it's dangerous!"

"Just jump! I'll do something with my remaining power!"

After hearing my words, she didn't hesitate to jump off the cliff.

"Hyaah!"

While she's screaming as we fell off together, I was about to transform into my adult form again when her necklace illuminated us and shrouded our vision, making the feeling of falling suddenly disappeared.

"Huh?"

Without knowing what happened, we suddenly fell on the deep water and sink down after hearing a loud splash. Slightly opening my eyes, I saw Lilith swimming towards me then she grabbed my arm and pulled me up. She dragged me to shallow part when I realized that we just fell into a river.

"Seir-sama! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I wonder where is this place?"

Looking around, we saw the river water coming from the waterfalls which was stunningly beautiful while viewing it in a setting sun. We decided to camp and rest near the river, taking off all of our clothes to dry it off. I built a roof which is made out of branches and leaves we collected and a bonfire which lit up with my fire magic to heat up our bodies so we don't feel cold tonight. I lied down on big leaves while she tend my wounds with medicinal herbs that she brought in her pocket bag.

"I'm glad we made it, Seir-sama."

"We shouldn't let our guard down. We still don't have idea where we are right now."

"Yes... Please rest now. I'll be keep watching."

Seeing her warm smile while she caresses my hand, I felt at ease and slowly close my eyes.

"Goodnight, Seir-sama."

Those are her words I heard before I fell asleep.

The next day, waking up in the morning, I felt the pain in the recovering injuries in my body and I saw bandages all over my body. Lying down naked by my side was Lilith who is sleeping peacefully and she made smile as I stood up, stretching my body. Since I recovered a bit of my magic power, I took a deep breath and focus on recovering my body to regenerate all the damage that I have taken in my body. After that, I ripped off all the bandages tied in my body with no wounds or injuries has remained with my recovery ability.

"Now, now. How will I get back with that old man. This time I will finish him off."

"Hmm? Seir-sama?"

Lilith has woke up while rubbing her eyes when she didn't notice that her bare chest was completely expose to me.

"H-Hyah!"

She immediately covered herself.

After waiting for our clothes get dried, we packed our things then we walked though the forest until we heard a passing roaring sound not far off from our location. We found a clear road but it was protected by fence which made off metal and I can't believe that they are wasting off such precious materials instead of making weapons.

Lilith got curious and she walked in the middle of the road.

"Seir-sama, look! This road is amazing! It will be very comfortable if a carriage--"

*Toooot~* *Toooot~*

We heard another roaring sound turning to our side when we saw some kind of vehicle approaching us fast which I sensed as something dangerous and I immediately grabbed Lilith and jumped very high to avoid being hit.

"What was that?!"

Lilith was astonished as I grabbed on a tree branch then I shifted our landing spot on a bushes to hide ourselves.

"Ssssh!" I placed my index finger on my lips and Lilith who saw it, covered her mouth immediately.

The strange vehicle stops with some kind of door opening on the side then a person came out, scratching the back of his head while looking around in worry. I tried hearing what she's saying but I didn't understand his language. He has the same features to humans but the clothes that he was wearing was different and it was also strange.

After he found nothing in the surroundings, he was shivering in fear and he returned back quickly to his vehicle then left.

"A human inside the dragon? How can he do that?" Lilith looks very confused on how will she describe the strange vehicle.

"It's not a dragon."

"Then what is it, Seir-sama?"

"I don't know. Let's go and find out."

We came down from the bushes then we walked together and followed the road.
