Early in the morning, I went to my Dad's room where he puts his things from his job as a doctor. He was actually a surgeon and he is letting me practice suturing to a pig's feet. With my hands covered in surgical gloves, Dad was watching me from behind with serious expression as I perform a difficult suturing technique with great speed and precision. When I finished the procedure, Dad was amazed with the result.

"You did great, Seir. What you need now is to perform it with a real person. But unfortunately, I can only let you do that if you finally reached college and enter a medical university."

"Is there a way for me to skip all the grade and enter college quickly?" I asked.

"Well, there's a way but I'll advice you not to skip highschool. You will miss a lot of things in your life."

"Huh? Isn't that place more like a prison? You have less freedom and they force you to do things you didn't want. Unlike homeschooling, once I learned all the lessons, I'm free to do anything with the rest of my time and study other things. Plus, I can help look after Fuyumi at home and that will ease Himiko-san's job so she will have time to rest."

"You need to go outside and socialize with other people too, especially with those same age as you."

"Sounds like a real pain in the butt. I think there's no point on doing that."

Dad pinched the bridge of his nose and thought something else to tell me.

"It's about making friends. Don't you have any friends from your old world?"

"Well... I have a lot of them in the village which I occasionally visit with Lilith but... they were all massacred by my--"

"Wait! I'm apologize for asking!"

The atmosphere in the room became heavy.

"I just want you to make friends with other people." he followed.

"I already have Shiina as my friend."

"She is your childhood friend but you two are like siblings already since you live together with her."

"How about Yuuka?"

"She's your step-sister. Please, it should be someone outside the family."

"I regularly visit the Dojo and train with Kaho-san."

"She might be engaged to you but it's not official yet. She doesn't count since she's your instructor."

"Uuuuugh... Just thinking of making friends is really tiring. I already have this chatty girl who keeps messaging me in the phone and talks about a lot of nonsense things."

"A girl?"

"Oh, she was the girl who helped in the past and I met her yesterday. She's the daughter of the owner of a newly opened Ramen Shop and I found her there working as a waitress. Her name was Riko and she treated me a bowl of ramen. It was really good. Her parents are also nice to me."

"I see... it's really another girl."

I sighed, knowing that he was just worried about me. Socializing is important to build connections with other people and it's the same in my home world. We launches tea parties and social gathering in the castle and demon nobles finds partners for their children.

"Now, I remember... I also have a Fiancée in my home world as a prince but since I fought against my father, the demon king, I will be branded as a traitor and become wanted. My engagement with her might already broken off after what I did."

Dad was speechless.

"You don't have to worry about me, Dad. We don't know when will I return back to my home world. I will just treasure my remaining time with everyone."

"I understand the situation but you shouldn't talk about topic with everyone. You'll just make them sad."

"Yes... I understand, Dad. Farewell might get harder the longer I stayed here."

I took off the surgical gloves on my hands then the cap on my head.

"Thanks for teaching me, Dad."

"Well, you're welcome."

I left his room then I found Yuuka leaning on wall while she's wearing sailor uniform.

"Oh, Yuuka. You girls haven't left to school yet? You're gonna be late soon--Huh?"

There are tears in her eyes and she was crying.

"Yuuka?"

She immediately wiped off her tear with her wrist then she ran away crying.

"Onii-sama, you idiot! Just leave if you don't like here!"

"Hey!"

She already ran off outside the house.

"See, I told you."

Dad came out of his room.

"Everyone is already aware." I sighed again.

"This reminds me when I have to leave the country and study at the medical university abroad. Himiko was crying nonstop at that time and she's begging me not to leave her. Unfortunately, I still have to go because of my dream of becoming a great doctor someday and Himiko was left here alone waiting for me to come back. Little I did know that she was already inflicted by that curse and it was slowly eating her life force away. While I was too busy with my studying, she was waiting for me while enduring of that painful curse. She was waiting... keep waiting until she was already nearing her death. At that time, I already can't contact her so I asked my parents how was she doing. I never thought my parents will lie to me and tell me that she was doing fine but actually, she was already suffering from the curse and she's at the death door. That's why, I can't blame her from what she did. With our clouded relationship, she has no choice but to have a child with another guy and the curse will be passed down to her child and her life will be saved."

So, that what happened with them in the past and the curse in Shiina which I took care off.

Dad smiled and rubbed my head with his hand.

"I'm regretting what I did to her. If I stayed and just studied at medical university in this country, we wouldn't end up in that situation. I wouldn't regret it even I get cursed too. That's why, Seir... I don't know what's your goal when you get back to your home world but don't forget that this place is your home too. You have to think it over again. Was it worth going back to your home world? You already said that you're a wanted criminal. What are you going to do when you arrive there? Do you really want to become the next demon king and rule all over the demons? Sometimes, when we immerse ourselves in order to achieve our goals, we tend to forget the important things around us. Just imagine those people you cherish when you leave. Was becoming the next demon king really worth than them? You have to decide which is more important or you'll regret it for the rest of your life just like me."

He let go of my head then he walked ahead of me while waving his hand.

"Well, I don't regret it now since I have both of them thanks to you. Now, I'm heavily being watch. I just hope that you don't end up regretting your decisions."

Thinking while walking back upstairs until I passed in front of the baby's room, I found Fuyumi sleeping peacefully inside her crib and I enter inside.

"Regret? What would I regret? I'm not from this world in the first place."

I was gazing at her adorable face while I'm touching her very small hand.

"Even if I leave, Fuyumi will grow up normally and turn into a pretty girl. She will become taller and more beautiful just like Mom then someday, she will become a beautiful bride and..."

Suddenly, the next things that came to my mind made me feel very unpleasant and surge of negative emotions that I have hard to understand was swirling inside me which I became very angry over something that hasn't existed yet.

I carried Fuyumi in my arms then I went downstairs to see Dad sitting between Mom and Himiko-san and they are flirting with each other.

"Seir? What are you doing with Fuyumi?" Mom asked when they saw me carrying Fuyumi in my arms.

"Mom, Dad. Himiko-san..."

They all look confused.

"Huh?"

"If there's some kind of bastard who wants to take her as a bride, he has to go against me first and take me down! I won't let any guy take her easily!"

After yelling, my adoptive parents and Himiko-san was surprised, giving a strange look.

"He became a sis-con." Mom mumbled.

"My poor son-in-law in the future. He has to face a real demon king to get his approval." Dad rubbed his head.

"In other words, he will become a extremely annoying brother in the future." Himiko-san sighed.
