1 The Beginning

There was a little girl named Maria. She was raised by her Grandmother, Carmen. Her whole life she was never told about what happened to her parents or even knew their names. When she was a child, she was always asking her Grandmother about her parents or stories about them. She kept on convincing her Grandmother to tell her about them or even their names. But when she turned 12 years old, she gave up and stopped asking. She carried on and focused on her studies. When she turned 16 years old she took care of her Grandmother's flower shop while studying. She was a smart, pretty, determined and kind child. She never fought back and she was always obedient. But imagine the pain she felt almost everyday knowing she wouldn't be able to see her parents. A few years passed and her 18th birthday came and she finally got the courage to ask her Grandmother about her parents again. Her Grandmother was still quiet and couldn't respond. And finally her Grandmother said..."Child I'm very sorry, for I know that it would be best if you don't know about your parents." She ran stormed off to her room and slammed the door very loudly. The next day her best friend Melanie came over to her house and greeted her happy birthday. She said, "Hi BIRTHDAY GIRL!! How 'r u and your Grandma doing?" Maria said, "Well I asked Grammy about my parents and...Well she said it would be best if I didn't know about them." Melanie said, " DUDE ARE U CRAZY WHY WOULD U ASK THAT?!?" Maria said, "Well I turned just turned 18 and I don't know a single thing about my Mom and Dad." Melanie said, "Well I know it's hard Maria but you know how your Grandmother hates it when you ask questions about your parents..." Maria said, "Well yes I do know....but just knowing their names would be enough, but I Don't." Melanie hugs Maria with a pat on the back. The next day was a holiday and there was no school. So Maria stayed at the flower shop and helped her Grandmother. A few hours passed and it was night time. Maria was about to close the shop, when she heard her named being called. It was like a whisper...
