I aimed the gun at the man in front of me. "Who's Gregory?" I demanded.

"Our boss!" he replied, fear evident in his voice.

"Location?" I asked, still holding the gun steady.

"2424 San Mateo Blvd Ne Albuquerque, Nm 87110. Last floor condo unit 490," he answered immediately.

"Get in the car," I ordered and he obediently followed. We drove in silence, quickly arriving at the condo. As we rode the lifter to the last floor, I kept the gun aimed at the man's head.

"Knock on the door," I ordered.

"Who's there?" a voice called from inside.

"It's me, Trigger," he called back and the door opened. But before anyone could react, Siren kicked Trigger inside and pulled out her other gun.

"Calm down," Gregory said, attempting to diffuse the situation.

Siren shot him in the legs, causing him to scream out in pain. "Who sent you?" I demanded, my finger twitching on the trigger.

Fuck!! My legs! What was that for? Gregory asked horrified and in pain."Your sister did," Gregory confessed, desperation creeping into his voice. "She wanted you dead because you've made her a laughing stock since you returned. She's become a shadow to the public."

The room fell silent as we all processed what had just been revealed.

Do you mean Brianca? I asked a bit surprised.

Yes! She's the one who wanted you dead.

Okay, not surprising. I said realizing everyone could be an enemy at some point. Pick up your phone and find out where she is. I ordered and he hastily pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialled her number.

Collecting the paper from him she left the condo with Xifi and some men arrived later to pick them up.

Gregory's Pov

If I had known her cousin was this dangerous I wouldn't have accepted her offer, I'm just lucky she didn't kill me. She's smart with guns and I don't know but there's something dark about her aura, I couldn't shake it off while she was here. I just hope Brianca is ready for what is coming her way. So much for a man who doesn't see her as a person.

As she walked into the luxurious spa, her eyes searched for her cousin in a frenzy. The receptionist pointed to a room where she was receiving a body massage. Making her way through the dimly lit hallway, she reached the door and pushed it open only to findlyingousin lying on the bed.

The masseuse realized that something was amiss, and quickly stepped out of the room, leaving them alone. The tension in the air was palpable as she grabbed her cousin's hair and pulled her up from the bed. With rage in her eyes, she slapped her cousin twice, hard across the face.

"What the hell, Nalani!" she yelled, her voice echoing through the room. "Do you even have any idea who I am?" she asked, her hands tightening around her cousin's neck.

Brianca tried to plead for mercy, but it only made her rage even more intense. Nalani pushed her to the floor and kicked her hard, relishing the feeling of power as she whimpered in pain.

"Stop, please..." Brianca begged, but she refused to listen. "You sent someone to kill me, you fool!" she said, her voice cold and menacing. "The next time you try something foolish like that, I won't hesitate to break your baby bones for breakfast," Don't push your luck! she threatened, her eyes narrowed.

With a final warning, she turned and strode out of the room, her heart still pounding with the adrenaline rush.

IN THE CAR

Xifi expressed his thoughts. "Don't you think this is too much of a coincidence? Brianca should be happy you're alive. Yeah, beefing is normal between siblings but getting someone to kill them is a whole new level. I think there's more to it."

"I think so too, Xi. Call Eagle, there's something I'd like to find out," I responded. I dialled Eagle's number and he picked up. "Hello?"

"Yes, are you with your sister?" I asked, trying to keep my voice level.

"Yeah, I arrived early enough, thank you," he said.

"Don't thank me yet. Who had my parents killed?" I held my breath, desperate for answers.

"Siren," he answered quickly.

My heart dropped. "I'm now your boss, so don't twist things. Who had them killed?"

"Your aunt," he confessed.

I abruptly pressed the brakes, stunned. "What did you just say?"

"Your aunt had them killed," he repeated.

Bitter tears burned in my eyes as I struggled to understand. "But why?" I asked.

"I also found it strange but I later found out that Brianca is the big boss's daughter. Your aunt was two weeks pregnant when she married your uncle. So it was easy to make it look like it was his child because she was dating both men at the time. As time went on she became greedy and wanted more, She hated your parents because they were way better than her husband and she wanted all the glory. Killing all of you would have made your uncle the heir to everything, but things didn't go as planned."
