1 First Steps Pt 2

Opening his eyes suddenly Julian is overcome with nausea.

Puking all of his earlier contents to the floor.

Slowly getting up to his feet he is tripped by the chain holding him there, looking down he sees his foot wrapped in a metal cuff that is chained to a spike in the wall.

That is pulsing on and off with what looks like little lines and text.

As he is gathering his surroundings the man from earlier appears suddenly in the room.

"Where am I?" Julian shouts at him scrambling backward.

"You are at my small base here in this mountain but what I want to know is why you were in the withering woods by yourself at such an age."

"I was looking for somewhere to go, who are you exactly?" Julian asks with a little uncertainty in his voice

"Me, I am an assassin in the Order of the Briar and I've captured you for a little game that you and a couple others will play along nicely with."

As the man is saying this he throws something towards Julian as it lands by his hands he picks it up.

"What is this?" Julian asks

"It is your key to survival use it well."

The man then slowly fades into the shadows

As Julian is sitting there he picks up the object that was tossed to his feet, it was jagged and felt cold to the touch.

It's shape was of a mountain and on the back, and the number 54 was written.

After sitting there for what felt like forever a door slide open and what popped up was an Apple and soup or at least what looked like it, along with a note that said.

Be ready in an hour for the test.

"What test, what are they talking about." Julian ponders.

"I wonder if I can break out of here and try to escape." as Julian is striking the object against the chain holding him the markings suddenly glow a dark black and shift around tightening the chain around his ankle.

Suddenly the room around him begins to rumble, standing to his feet he gets up quick preparing for something to happen, then the walls to the room fall over.

Shocked and confused Julian looks around and sees more boys and girls around his age but with different expressions.

As he was scouring the room he saw a door that was starting to open.

Outcome three people two guys and a woman, the first man is tall in stature with broad shoulders,

his face was chiseled with very thick eyebrows and piercing green eyes that looked almost jade-like.

The second man was the same guy who had brought him here, but Julian could finally see his face it was pale and had almost looked dead with nothing special about his face except his eyes they were a fiery red that reminded Julian of flames.

And lastly, the lady had a fair face with brunette colored hair she was a nice tan probably from being out in the sun all day but her face was cold and had looked like it hadn't smiled in years and her eyes when in the light shined an eerie purple.

As Julian is looking around the middle guy speaks out "Hello young ones you're probably wondering why you're here I'm guessing." As he says this a kid steps out and shouts "Fuck you guys all of you for taking me." the boy said.

As he said that he suddenly screamed and fell to the ground as everyone was frozen in fear the first man stepped out and appeared beside the boy.

While he was doing that the man pulled out a knife and stabbed him and said.

"Let this be a warning to all do not ever disrespect us again."

Everyone stepped back in fear but as he said that the girl spoke up "I guess it's time to introduce ourselves my name is One and the tall man is Two and the man in the middle is Zero and we are the instructors for the test."

"Now if you'd pull out the object we gave you and see the number we would like you to line lining a row in the order from 1-100."

As everyone was finishing lining up number two starts to say.

"Now that everything is in order here is what we need you to do." number two says.

As Julian is standing there he starts to look around and notices a boy standing next to him fidgeting around "Hey are you okay?" Julian asks

"I'm fine, Hi my name is Robbie but everyone calls me Rob and what's yours?"

"My name is Julian." As he is saying this the man suddenly says.

"Everyone listen close this is now the beginning of the test in order for you to survive you must listen well because only 10 of you will." The man smiles while everyone gasps in horror and some almost fall to the ground

"Now the goal of the test is to find suitable assassins for the Order of the Briar and in order to do that you must learn to accept the darkness inside you."

"When you step into the next room there will be 8 tablets in front of you sit down in front of them and try to understand what they mean if you can if you cannot well let just say you'll be at a major disadvantage in the next section."

"Now enter the next room and sit you will be given an hour to understand the light and dark of this world."
