8 Chapter: 8

When Yun Che had entered the Black Moon Merchant Guild and started negotiating with the clerk, Jasmine was examining the items placed within the guild. She was interested to see the level of items on this mortal star.

Though she knew none of them would enter her eyes due to the fact that she was the princess of a King Star, a star where any normal cultivator could destroy this star on a whim!

But much to her surprise, her interest was instantly taken into the dress displayed in the shop. The moment her eyes landed on it, she knew she loved it.

She was about to ask Yun Che to buy it for her, but was instead stunned when Yun Che brought it even before she asked for it. This caught her off-guard as she thought Yun Che didn't like her; especially the way he usually talked with her.

His way of talking suggested he was talking with an annoying kid who lived her life in delusions. And this indeed ticked her off in a wrong way. As such, she was surprised when Yun Che gifted her the dress!

Coming out of the Black Moon Merchant Guild and vanishing within the street using True Invisibility, Yun Che took off the mask and closed his eyes, appearing within the space of Sky Poison Pearl.

Seeing Jasmine floating silently within the green space, looking down at him, he couldn't help but smile wryly.

'She really loves to act all high and mighty, doesn't she?' Shaking his head, he took the dress out and smiled.

"Doesn't it get annoying wearing those rags? As such, this humble disciple of yours got a gift for you. I hope you like it."

"..." Jasmine silently stared at Yun Che before she humphed and snatched the dress away from his hands.

Yun Che's brows twitched seeing her tsundere act. Can't she at least thank him for it or something? After all, the only reason he even decided to go in Black Moon Merchant Guild was to get the dress for her, since she seemed to like it a lot in the original.

"... Thank you."

Suddenly, a small whisper entered his ears causing his eyes to widen. Soon, a smirk appeared over his face as he tiptoed towards Jasmine, who had her back towards him due to embarrassment she was feeling currently. Even though she didn't know why, she was embarrassed right now.

"Oh my. Did you say something, my dear master?" Getting no reply from her, Yun Che knew she was embarrassed. As such, like a gentleman he was, decided to embarrass her further! He placed his hand over her shoulder and pocked her cheek, they felt smooth beyond belief, with his smirk widening by second. "Na, say, master. Did you say something? Did you say thank you? Come on~"

His actions suddenly stopped when he felt Jasmine's body shaking. He looked at the side of her face and found it red all the way to her neck and knew he should leave the pearl as soon as possible lest he become the target of tsundere violence.

But he was second late as he felt a huge force impacting his stomach, causing his saliva to leave his mouth as he was ejected out of the sky poison pearl forcefully.

The only thing he could hear was—Die!

Yun Che opened his eyes to the outside world, still feeling pain in his stomach. He sighed at the violence tendencies of tsunderes and couldn't help but lament at the people who had tsunderes as main wives.

'Familiar of the Zero or something? Man, she was the worst of the tsunderes, not gonna lie. She forced the main character to sleep outside on hay, at the front of her room door! And the main character allowed her to do so! What kind of masochistic behavior is this?! Getting forcefully summoned to a new world and then being treated like a fucking animal, I can only imagine myself completely hating her.'

Shaking his head and stopping himself from falling into the rabbit hole of questioning the mentality of Japanese protagonists, Yun Che made his way towards the New Moon Profound Palace.

A silence ensued as Yun Che stood in front of the palace. It was quite grand, grander than the Black Moon Merchant Guild.

At its massive gate, two guards stood.

Yun Che was in deep thought.

He was wondering if he should enter the New Moon Profound Palace or not.

In the original, Yun Che entered it in hope of getting resources to further push his cultivation and because his grandpa instructed him to do so, such wasn't the case for the current Yun Che.

He had no real reason to enter the palace.

The only reason he could think of was Cang Yue, the princess of Blue Wind Empire.

'But am I really going to enter the palace for a girl?'

Yun Che questioned himself.

He really wasn't interested in all the bullshit that happened in the original, like the competition at the banquet. Nor could he learn any good skills there. So he seriously questioned if it was worth it entering the palace just for a woman he didn't even know if she was present within the palace or not.

After thinking for an extended period of time and making the guards in front suspicious of him, Yun Che decided not to enter the palace.

'Kinda feels like a waste of time, really.'

With such thoughts, he shrugged his shoulders, further making the guards confused and questioning his mental health.

Turning around, he left.

{Weren't you going to enter that whatever-moon palace? Why did you leave?} Jasmine asked, confused. Currently, she wore the dress Yun Che had gifted her. After wearing it, her mood improved quite a lot. So she decided to ask the question.

{Well… Do I really have to though? I feel like I wouldn't really gain anything but trouble if I entered that palace.}

Of course, the trouble he was talking about was the enmity against the Xiao Clan and every other sect within the New Moon City.

{Also, I doubt they can provide me anything useful. It's better to find a place which can be of some value to me rather than the palace in this rundown city.}

Though it was not a rundown city as Yun Che proclaimed, it didn't have much in terms of cultivation resources. And even though he had a skill such as Energy Absorption, he still needed to look for a place with a high concentration of profound energy to fully utilize it.

Instead of spending time within the palace chasing a girl's skirt, Yun Che thought it was better to spend time looking for a place to cultivate.

{Then where are we going now?} Understanding his reasoning, Jasmine asked.

A smirk appeared over Yun Che's face as he answered.
