Yun Che sighed and shook his head.
This shit was too complicated so he decided to think about it later.
Instead, he looked towards the flying eyes and asked.
"So? Can I get your inheritance then?"
"Of course." Said the ancient voice. "But before that, this one has a request for you."
Yun Che raised a brow and questioned.
"What?"
"Would you allow this one to read your memories? This one would like to confirm something."
Yun Che remained silent for a second.
To be honest, he didn't want people to read his memories since his mind had too much shit which he didn't want other people to know.
But letting phoenix reading his memories had a merit, too much in fact. Since if things go the same way as they did in the original, he will be getting more when letting her read his memories than not letting her read his memories.
As such, after contemplating her request for a while, Yun Che nodded.
Suddenly, he felt an intrusion within his mind causing him to frown in displeasure but he didn't fight back the said intrusion.
He remained silent and let the phoenix read through his set of memories. It was amusing to see her eyes going through different shapes depending on her emotions.

'Here comes the first reward for letting her read my memories.'
The time passed before a long sigh was released which filled the cave.
"Inconceivable! Simply inconceivable! Never have I ever seen or heard of a person like you. Not only do you possess the inheritance of the Heretic God, your Fate and Luck is beyond what this world can give you."
Her voice boomed within the empty cave with excitement.
"I have never felt this excited during my stay on this mortal plane!" The eyes suddenly shone as if remembering something. "At a time like this, a person like you appeared… If it's not fate, this one doesn't dare to know what it is."
"Uhhh… yes? Can I get the inheritance though? Kinda on the clock here."
Of course Yun Che knew what she was talking about, crimson crack, but he suddenly remembered something from the original timeline. He thought he should leave this place soon or he might be too late otherwise.

The eyes shone with brilliance and a bright red light shot from it. It created a trail on its path before hitting in the center of Yun Che's brows, and sinked into them.
Phoenix's voice followed after.
"Hurry, digest them! While at it, take this pill too. This is the Divine Phoenix Pellet. It will increase the benefit from the blood to maximum."
Yun Che didn't deny those gifts. He swallowed the pellet before sitting in a lotus position. It was time to do the thing he hated most, cultivation!
The phoenix remained quiet watching Yun Che absorbing the pellet and the blood. Her eyes shone as something else entered Yun Che's soul. She muttered quietly.
"I hope you never use it."
Jasmine stared at the phoenix spirit with suspicious brimming in her eyes. She felt like this spirit was hiding something from them or she would never give all these gifts to Yun Che for nothing. Jasmine thought there must be something which she was aware of, something which forced the phoenix spirit to give all these gifts to Yun Che.
It was as if she was placing all her bets on Yun Che.
As such, she decided to have girl to girl talk while Yun Che was busy digesting the pill and the blood.

Unknown time later, Yun Che opened his eyes.
He felt his strength had increased a lot, which made him happy.
Before starting his cultivation, his strength was at the first level of Nascent Profound Realm which had now increased to tenth-level! He jumped pretty much the whole realm and reached almost the peak of Nascent Profound Realm.
He smiled.
'This is the benefit of being the protagonist of these chinese cultivation novels. You never, if all, need to cultivate diligently. It's either inheritance or fuck someone stronger than you, strength comes naturally with both.'

Yun Che's attention was attracted towards the phoenix. He almost forgot she existed. He looked towards the phoenix and nodded.

Sadly, due to certain circumstances, I lost the first four pages of it and was left with only the fifth and sixth page. She clearly wanted to say something but refrained from doing so.
"Either way, you only have a month to learn it."
Yun Che took the jade which had the fifth and sixth pages of World Ode of the Phoenix. He was also glad that despite knowing about the system, the phoenix refrained from talking about it. It seems she knows that Yun Che doesn't want people to know about it, and as such didn't talk about it either.
'At least she knows the meaning of privacy. I would have been slightly mad if she straight up started talking about the system.'
Phoenix was dead. As such, she cannot harm him. But Jasmine was alive, and she could harm him.
Yun Che knew that till now the only and main reason Jasmine was helping him was because she wanted to train him to become strong enough to help in her revenge. There were no feelings involved, neither from her side nor his.
In such a case, he didn't want his deepest secrets to be known by her. Not until he made sure she was on his side.
Human heart was unpredictable.
She might not have any malicious intent towards him right now, but who knows she might have after knowing about his system. Until he was the strongest, it was better to let it remain secret.
Anyways, the moment the information about the World Ode of the Phoenix appeared in his mind, despite it being incomplete, the system registered it as a skill.
The reason for that is simple. His system didn't care if the skill was complete or incomplete. As long as it was a skill, it was registering it.
