22 Practice Partner

Screee Screeechhh!

Screeeeechhhh!

Around this time, however, the rat-type monsters suddenly went wild when they sensed the presence of Sakim who was just in front of their territory. Just seeing him could make them so much agitated. As if he was the most delicious food they could ever taste in their lifetime.

Sakim was still thinking to be more careful seeing that not all the passageway were safe when he suddenly sensed those monsters inside the dark passageway went into an uproar. Even the almost calm like him couldn't help but feel a bit uneasy especially when he didn't know what more lies behind the passageway and darkness.

Fear of the unknown was indeed scary.

But of course, for someone like him who had received a great ability, and someone who had lived his past life seeing many things such as dangers and death, feeling restless for a long time from this kind of situation was impossible for him. What if those rat-type monsters were somewhat scary? They must know as well that his ability was even scarier than them.

Sakim narrowed his eyes. He could tell with the sound coming out from the passageway that there were a lot of monsters preparing to get out of the passageway and swarm him already. Even Sakim couldn't help but prepare for the onslaught.

He had only the [Rusty Sword] as his weapon so he couldn't rely on it that much. But he had something in him that was much greater than this trash weapon of his. And that was his ability and passive skill he got from the System.

Sakim had only tried out his passive skill: Greed before and he'd found out that this skill was pretty OP. He could even steal the Heaven's Wrath with this skill so what else on Earth could he still unable to steal? But wait, was this place even called Earth?

In any case, with his passive skill: Greed, he had guessed that he could steal almost everything in this world. He might able to steal the stats of his opponents as well. Or perhaps, even experience points and coins. The only thing he was having trouble with was that, he felt that the more he used his passive skill: Greed, the more his greed worked upon him. As if he wanted to steal everything.

That was not what he wanted! He'd already lived his past life being so greedy while gaining nothing meaningful in the end. Would he still walk in the same path as before?! Of course not!

But what else could he do? In this world where survival was a must, he couldn't help but use his passive skill. Sakim was just thinking to find a way how could he cure his greed. Since this was a fantastical world, there should be such an item to cure his greed right?! It had to be known that he didn't want to receive the mentioned punishment by the System when he failed to overcome his greed.

In any case, the blood ability he had received a while ago was still yet to be tried out. And this time, seeing that many practice partners were trying to deliver themselves to him, Sakim intended to use this ability of his to see the extent of its strength that it could display.

At first, his only focus was to go to the Beginner's Village. That was why he didn't bother himself killing monsters just to level up. And also, he felt that the gold and exp given by the monsters were too low to the point that it didn't ignite his greed at all.

But well, he only felt that way because he'd received a much better treatment right in the beginning. Just by killing a Hidden Boss alone, he received several thousands of experience points making him level up multiple times. Although he hadn't received any money, that huge amount of exp was a huge gain. And also, he'd gain many valuable materials from that Hidden Boss. So how could he still put in his eyes these little monsters anymore?! One must know that putting dust in one's eye could only hurt their eyes or even worse, make them blind.

Sakim needed more Hidden Boss. Yes, a Hidden Boss that was about to die! This was what he really wanted. If possible, a couple of hundreds of them would be better.

But Sakim knew full well that this was only a hopeless dream of his. Meeting a couple of hundreds of dying Hidden Boss? He must be dreaming! He should be!

It had to be known that meeting a Hidden Boss alone was already barely possible. It was already lucky for him that he had met a dying Hidden Boss coincidentally if not planned. But now, he was thinking to meet a couple of hundreds of them just because he was too lazy to kill little monsters and gain exp to level up?! If that was the case, his sin must be Sloth, not Greed! He should be the Vessel of Sloth!

Sakim knew full well that killing a monster alone could only give him a pitiful amount of 100 exp per monster. Just how many of them did he need to kill just to level up?! How much energy, no, how much mana did he need to waste for these little monsters?!

With that being said, since it was impossible for him to meet hundreds of dying Hidden Boss, Sakim intended to rush to the Wolf Village already and apply for the quest to level up faster instead. Although he hadn't tried it out, with the knowledge he'd received a while ago, he felt that taking a quest was way more convenient in leveling than hunting monsters alone.

But now that these mere rats were trying to hinder his way to the Beginner's Village, he might as well use them as his food to increase his exp. He might as well practice his blood ability to gain a greater grasp of it.

Sakim then cleared up his mind and chased away all his distracting thought. As for now, he had only one thing in mind. And that was,

'To slaughter his way to the Beginner's Village with a wide grin!'

And just like that, Sakim couldn't contain his nonchalant expression anymore as his excitement reached the next level. His grin started to shape as well as he waited impatiently for those rats to come out already. It couldn't be that those rats wanted him to go inside that dark passageway instead, right?

Screech!

Just as Sakim was doubting if these rats were still going to come out, the rats couldn't suppress their excitement as well as they rushed out of the passageway. Sakim was just disappointed that only three of them were lured out.

Even so, it was still a good practice partner. That said, he raised his [Rusty Sword] and pointed it against the incoming experience points.

However, when Sakim was about to use the ability he had thought extremely strong, his face turned dark and grim. He suddenly realized that he didn't know how to use it. What should he do? Swung his sword? How could his blood ability be executed with that?!

But thinking about it now, his ability was blood control. It was just as simple as controlling blood. The only thing he wished to know was what blood he could control? Could he create blood to control through his mana? Or could he use his own blood to control? Or perhaps, he could control his enemy's blood.

No matter what, he would find it out in the next chapter!
