"Nunu! Are you free to meet up with me today?" I look up from my book as someone calls out to me.

"Oh, Ari! Good morning!" I smile at him. "Unfortunately, I am not free today due to club activities," I answer his question. He pouts.

"Then, when will you be free?" He tries again.

"Let me grab my agenda." I look in my bag and grab a small pink booklet out of it.

"Formal as always, Nunu," Ari sighs.

I chuckle. "I am free this Thursday, as our club activities are cancelled," I tell him.

"Great! I'll message you!" he says as he waves goodbye, walking back to his own classroom.

I focus back on my book. If only I could be a book character... I've got quite the easy life, but books are on a whole other level. Everything is possible and the world is beautiful. School days are skipped and pain never lasts. But on the other side, maybe I wouldn't be able to sing in a book. That would be more of a nightmare.

My greatest passion is singing. That's why I am in the music club and joined a small group of boys. The most noticeable one is probably Lucian. Not only does his appearance stand out, his behaviour is very... outstanding. He is our drummer, and he definitely has the energy for it. He started the band with Caden and Noah.

Caden plays the guitar. He may not seem like it, but he can go all out when he's playing, almost giving off the same energy as Lucian. He is beautiful, nobody can deny that; a different kind of pretty that my model-like friend Ari is. He is also kind of Lucian's mom, always prepared for everything and always able to handle his moods.

Noah is our multitalented keyboard player. He can also play the piano, keytar, and even the accordion. I look up to his talents greatly. To his personality, not so much. Just like Lucian, his personality is a bit different. Even though I do not wish to be him, I like him a lot and he always knows how to make me laugh. He jokes around with Lucian a lot, getting glares from Caden every now and then.

Class begins. I put away my book, having skipped a few pages without noticing because I got lost in thoughts. My grades are pretty average. Geography and music are definitely my best subjects. But math...

My current grade is too low to pass this class. With only a limited amount of weeks and exams left, I have to do something about it. I should probably start by paying attention to my teacher. No time for useless thoughts!

My notebook is full of neatly written but poorly understood notes by the time the bell rings. I sigh soundlessly, close my notebook and grab my reading book again. It's a French book that I have a test about tomorrow. I've spoken French ever since I was little, due to my parents having many good relationships with important people there, but even then I never excelled at it. The genders make things incredibly confusing.

Languages and math are probably my weak spots. Now, the languages are no problem, I will pass them if I try my best. But math... I will have to find help. My parents can probably pay the best tutor in the whole world, but I don't want that. I want to be a normal student. I am just another human being, after all. Speaking of normal human things... I put my book on the table.

While walking through the corridor to go to the toilet, I find the perfect solution. 'Learn together! Help each other! Send an email with your strengths and weaknesses to learntogether@highschool.com and find your buddy!'

As soon as I get back to class, that's what I do: I send an email with my name and class, my weak spot and what I can tutor others with. Satisfied, I put my phone into my bag, packing all of my stuff. After a long, long day full of math, history, and languages, it's almost time to go home. All that's left is for me to clean the classroom; it's my turn today.

Though everybody else leaves, I notice a blond boy staying on his seat. He seems to have fallen asleep. I softly shake his shoulder. The boy grunts, stretches and opens one eye to look at me.

"You're the singer boy, aren't you?" His voice sounds pretty monotone, but there's something sweet about it, sending a small shiver down my spine. However, his rude attitude doesn't appeal to me at all.

"Yes, I am. What about it?" I answer in a kind of rude tone as well. The boy huffs and closes his eyes again.

"Sing for me."
