CHAPTER 15: ANOTHER ONE, ANTONIO!

Mr Simmons dropped me off at my home, Kate's home. I didn't have to worry about my uniform because I didn't have my ID in it. "Today was fun," I said to him as I smiled sheepishly. "Are you indirectly telling me that you want us to do this more often?" Mr Simmons said.

"First off, who's us?" I taunted. He laughed and then he kissed me softly. "Goodnight Kate." He said as he drove off to the hotel. As I watched him drive off, I kept on smiling until he was out of sight. I went into the house with the table cloth wrapped around my body and I got to Kate's bathroom to take a quick shower.

After the shower, I laid down on her bed thinking about everything that happened today. Mr Simmons actually took my mind off that bastard, Antonio. "How do I get that scumbag out of our lives for good!" I murmured. I thought of a restraining order but I felt it would only augment the situation.

After several hours of pondering, I decided to sleep. But I couldn't, I kept on thinking about the night I and Mr Simmons had. "Why Jordan? Why get mixed up with the humans?" I said to myself, worried about how the relationship could affect my mission. I finally slept off hoping that most of my problems would disappear by tomorrow.

But they didn't! I was awoken by Kate's mum with a call from an anonymous number. I asked Kate's mum who it was then she told me, "I have no clue dear, but it is you they want to speak to." I was confused, "They?" So I took the phone from Kate's mum and I said with an authoritative tone, "Hello, you're speaking to Kate. How may I help you?"

"My Angel, have you considered my condition?" It was Antonio. I told Kate's mum to leave the room so that I could pour out my anger on Antonio. I didn't want Kate's mum to worry about our safety as she was an old lady liable to get a heart attack.

"Antonio I swear to God, this should be the last time I hear from you, or see you ever again! Don't fucking call this number ever, in your sorry life! Did you get that?"

"My Queen, it's like you've gone deaf!" Antonio mocked me. Then with more seriousness in his tone of voice, he said, "I said, I want us as a family again. And until that is met, I'll be sending our little Ad chocolates and cookies and bullets." Then he immediately hung up the phone.

I don't know what sort of drama Antonio was sent into Kate's life to cause because he was successful in making me go crazy. As I had my bathe I couldn't think clearly. I wore my uniform and headed straight to the dining room, where Kate's mum and Adelaide ate.

"So, who was on the phone?" Kate's mum asked me wearing a concerned look.

"It was some people from the hotel. Uh, mum is it okay if you take Ad to school today, I've got a lot of things to attend to at the hotel today."

"Sure honey. But make sure you don't come back late like you did yesterday."

"I won't mom. Hey Ad. How was your night?" I said to Kate's daughter as I gave her a kiss on the forehead. "It was awesome. Mom, why did you tell Nunez's mother that your name was Jordan?"

Adelaide's question got me agape. So she hadn't forgotten about it? "Who's Jordan and who's Nunez." Kate's mother asked confusedly. "Nunez's her friend from school," I replied to Kate's mother.

"And, I told Nunez's mother that I was Jordan because that's my second name." I lied. Meanwhile, Kate's mum was left confused.

"Do I have a second name?" Adelaide asked me. "No, you don't. But if you want one I could give it to you." I said to her.

"Yes, mummy. I want one." Ad said to me wearing a huge smile on her face.

"Alright, I'll give you one. What do you think of Laura?" I gave her Laura because I missed her; Angel Laura. My Angel ride or die, my gist buddie 24/7, as Sadie would say.

"I love it, mom. Laura!!" Adelaide said as she pranced along the room.

Then Kate's mum pulled me to the side and said to me. "So you've forgotten." I was stunned, forgotten what? "I'm sorry mom, but, what have I forgotten?"

I could see that Kate's mum spoke with edginess in her tone. "Antonio gave her a second name." My eyes widened when I heard this. So I immediately thought of what to say,

"Well, that's why I deliberately forgot it. She doesn't need to know. Mom, Antonio can never be a part of our lives anymore. He can never."

Kate's mum clearly understood what I said. "I'm happy to see that you've finally moved on my dear. I'm happy for you." She said to me as we both hugged.

"Alright Ad, I'm leaving. Remember don't take anything from strangers okay? And most importantly, if you see anything strange, don't hesitate to report to your teachers alright?" I warned Adelaide. And she replied to me saying she understands. With that being said, I took a cab and left for work.

I resumed my position, as usual, always wearing a happy smile on my face regardless of whether I've had a shitty day or not. Sadie's position was beside me so when she saw me she tapped me repeatedly, she was excited.

"Kate, I've got a date!" She said to me wearing an excited face and smiling sheepishly.

"Oh my God, I'm happy for you. Who's the lucky guy? And how'd you meet him?" I asked her.

"I don't know him, we've never met. He's from tinder."

"What's tinder?" I said to her looking confused.

"You better be joking bitch? You don't know what tinder is?" Sadie said to me. She was left dazed. "Kate, I don't usually hang around with weird people because you know what they say. Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are. You're weird nowadays, and if you're weird, then I'm weird."

"Ouch, I'm not a robot Sadie I have feelings," I replied.

"It's a dating app. And I think he's a really cool guy."

"Any pictures?" I asked.

"Nah, but his name's Chris John."

"No pictures and his name's Chris John. Wait, isn't there a guy that works here that's named Chris John?" I said.

Soon, Chris John walked in and said to Sadie, "Can't wait for tonight Sadie." He winked at Sadie before leaving.

"You're definitely standing him up, right?" I said to Sadie, disappointed. Then she replied, "Definitely!"
