10 Chapter 10: Guild Recruitment.

[General POV]

"Here we stand in front of the long awaited Annihilation of Heaven guild recruitment!" A dark haired news reporter said as the camera pointed to hundreds of Hunters inside a large hall. The hall had a long red carpet and a stage with a black marble podium sitting on top of it.

"There are countless Hunters here from E-Rank all the way to A-Rank, no doubt many people are hoping to become apart of the guild created by our national hero, Hunter Natae," The reporter said again and Belphegor soon took the stage. He was dressed in an open black robe, displaying his muscles to the world and making the married women at home drool.

"*TAP* *TAP*, Is this thing on?" Belphegor joked before getting serious, "Hello and thank you to everyone who came to participate in AOH's guild recruitment. Without further ado, allow me to show you the testing area. Please do not move," Belphegor pressed a button on his podium and the ground below them began to move downward. The participants and reporters were surprised and shocked that such a huge device could be hidden.

The ground continued to travel downward until they arrived in a large white room with one huge grey fighting platform in the middle.

"Now, allow me to explain the rules of your test," Belphegor flipped off of the stage and landed on the platform with a wide smile, "Your objective is to defeat one clone or injure the real me." Belphegor created enough water clones to match the amount of participants so around 300.

"Begin." Belphegor said with a smile and the water clones began attacking the participants.

[Park Sun-Ah POV]

*BOOM*

'Holy shit!' Sun-Ah exclaimed mentally as she dodged a punch from one of Belphegor's clones. It made a small crater in the ground and Sun-Ah luckily rolled out of the way.

"Teacher is a monster sometimes..." Sun-Ah mumbled to herself as golden lines of energy traveled throughout her skin and she drew her rapier. Just as she was about to sprint forward, she was bumped by a large Hunter who was stepping back from a clone.

"Watch where you're going bitch!" He yelled which made Sun-Ah a bit annoyed, "You bumped into me ya'know..." She mumbled as she sprinted forward and clashed her rapier with the clones fist. The sheer amount of force behind their collision caused everyone else in their vicinity to be knocked on their ass or completely blown away, depending on their strength.

"HEY! NO DAMAGING THE NEW FLOOR!" Belphegor yelled although the room was already littered with craters. Sun-Ah laughed and kicked away the clone, sending it into a wall.

Sun-Ah shot forward and her boot connected with the clones face, further indenting it into the wall and creating a large crater. The clone grabbed her leg and threw her on the ground.

"KAH!" Sun-Ah bounced up and coughed up some saliva but the clone wasn't finished. It kicked Sun-Ah in the ribs sending her rolling across the ground before appearing behind her and kicking her into a wall.

"Damn...Teacher forgot to make them hold back a bit..." Sun-Ah chuckled as she wiped blood from the corner of her mouth and hopped out of the crater. She held her rapier tighter and the golden lines on her skin got brighter.

"7%! I'm going to be in so much pain later," Sun-Ah sprinted forward again leaving a crack in the ground and an afterimage to the untrained eye. She got within close range of the clone and her blade cut through it's neck. Sun-Ah stopped herself and let out a deep sigh of relief.

"Thank goodness I didn't have to push any further!" She said as her eyes traveled over to the center. Belphegor was standing on the platform surrounded by around 20 Hunters, with most of them being A-Ranks.

"I pray for them," Sun-Ah said as she made a praying gesture, "They're going to need it."

[Belphegor POV]

"Okay, so you guys chose the hard objective. Just so you know, the chances of you injuring me is 0.00%," I was being truthful but a few of their faces contorted in anger. Why were they angry?

"Hunter Natae, you shouldn't be so cocky. Although we are only A-rank, there are still 20 of us," A blue haired guy said, I think he introduced himself earlier but I wasn't paying attention.

"Blah, blah, blah, come fight me," I lazily said and the spells and attacks came flying. I dodged the majority and the few that I didn't dodge were blocked by a water shield.

"HAAAA!" One guy tried slicing me with his sword and I let it happen. His sword broke on contact with my skin and I slapped him away, one down.

"Glacier!" Oh, it was the blue haired guy! I looked up and saw a giant glacier falling on me, silly mistake. I turned the glacier into water vapor and grinned, "Allow me to show you real ice magic," I waved my hand and a huge column of ice was created, knocking out about half of the group and anyone else who was in the way.

"Sorry about that!" I shouted and I caught a sword between my fingers. It belonged to a pretty brown haired girl, too bad I'm a loyal man. I flicked her away with a burst of air pressure, knocking her out as well.

I looked at the remaining 8 and I was just getting bored at this point, so I knocked them all out before they could react. I sat back down on the floor and saw that Sun-Ah had already completed her task, I knew she could do it.

Everybody else seemed to be still fighting my clones and I turned my attention to an interesting prospect. He was a young boy, even younger than Sun-Ah so probably around 13, which is a problem in and of itself but I digress. He was fighting my clone on equal standing which was amazing because I made the clones around just below S-rank.

I continued to watch his fight and he was amazing with the katana and fire magic, but my clone got the upperhand and he was sadly defeated. I looked at him with a bit of pity and sighed again. I flickered over to him and stand over him.

"Yo, what's your name kid?" I asked and he looked at me with shock.

"Uhh, Yuuki! Yuuki Minagawa, I'm a B-rank Fighter/Mage!" Yuuki said as he quickly stood up and nervously introduced himself.

"B-Rank at such a young age? Yeah, from today onward refer to me as Teacher," I patted his head and his azure eyes looked at me with confusion, "What do you mean?"

"I mean that you passed, and are worthy of becoming my student!" I laughed as I walked away, leaving him in awe and I sat back down on the platform. The recruitment was finishing up and only 1 clone had been defeated. Nobody else could even keep up with their clone, which I expected as well. I made this test difficult on purpose, I don't want or need weaklings in my guild.

With the exception of my students of course, but Sun-Ah could beat just about anyone below A-rank and after I finish training Yuuki, I bet he'd probably become an S-rank. In all honesty, the author needs to rename this: "Sin of Sloth's SSS-Rank Dojo"
