3 System Initiated…

"Tch."

I awoke, clicking my tongue in frustration.

The reasons for my anger were numerous.

How dare God refer to me as filth? What was happening here? And God saving souls? My ass!

My rage knew no bounds, my emotions intensifying.

Where was this god when I was used as a punching bag, when I was bullied, harassed, and treated as less than a pet dog?!

I was a fool to believe in luck, hope, and this so-called god!

That's why I aspired to become a demon. It was what they called me, after all.

I would show this world what a true demon is.

Amidst my chaotic thoughts, my body stood up involuntarily, and before I knew it, I found myself walking in a certain direction.

There, lying on the ground, were two lifeless human bodies. It was the couple from my earlier memory.

Approaching them, I extended my hand to inspect what they had on their deceased forms.

That's when I noticed.

"My hands... they're different?"

Confusion swept over me. Why were my hands red? It wasn't blood.

Gazing down at my body, I realized I was completely naked. However, what captivated my attention wasn't the state of undress, but rather the color of my flesh.

"Red..."

I was intrigued.

"Who am I...?"

Splash, splash.

The sound of water splashing caught my ears, and I finally took notice of my surroundings. 'How oblivious must one be not to realize this abrupt change until now?'

I found myself in a disheveled environment.

It was an open clearing within a dense forest. Towering, straight trees surrounded me, and a river flowed nearby.

Yet, the most striking difference was the presence of two suns in the sky.

But I paid little heed to nature's peculiarities.

The true chaos lay before me.

Several carriages, precisely three of them, and numerous individuals littered the ground.

The entire place was a bloody scene, quite literally.

Yet, I remained unfazed. My first priority was to approach the river.

And when I caught sight of my reflection in its waters, all my doubts dissipated.

"Ah..."

An involuntary, soft moan escaped my lips.

"So... you truly... made me a demon, huh?"

I looked up at the sky and spoke.

I settled by the riverbank, fixating my gaze upon my reflection for some time.

Shoulder-length, long obsidian black hair, deep black eyes that were clear and piercing, thick and connected eyebrows reminiscent of ancient Indian bows, a prominent, sizable nose, devoid of a beard or mustache, sharp jawline, thick lips with two fangs protruding, and a well-defined neck.

Broad chest, expansive shoulders, lacking both excess fat and visible abs. Standing at a height of nearly 6 feet 4 inches. Yet, the most distinctive aspect was my dark red skin.

"Hahaha... 'hideous' would be an understatement."

I chuckled.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA~"

Laughter spilled forth from my lips.

"HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA~"

An eruption of villainous laughter.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA~"

I laughed and laughed until...

"Hm?"

I became aware of something wet on my face.

Drip, drip, drip.

Tears.

They fell like a torrential downpour, as if seeking to engulf the entire world with their drops, to inundate the world completely.

Similar to raindrops, streams of tears cascaded down my cheeks.

"What should I do? Thank you?... or curse you?"

I once again questioned the sky.

The only constant presence in my life had been the sky.

The more I comprehended my circumstances, the more I felt a mix of relief, fear, and worry...

"My life has changed."

I pondered.

Now was not the time for tears.

"Let's assess the situation, shall we?"

I addressed myself and began to delve into my memories.

And they astonished me.

"Wow, what a chaotic life you've had! Exiled from the clan, cursed with ugliness... isn't it like 'out of the frying pan into the fire?'"

I conversed with myself as memories unraveled within the recesses of this demon's mind.

This demon came into existence as a result of the patriarch's extramarital affair with a maid from the sub-branch clan of 'Lust.'

His name was Logan Wayne.

Upon his birth, the matriarch of the clan flew into a rage and, instead of punishing the patriarch, cast her once-in-a-lifetime curse upon Logan, condemning him to a life of ugliness until his demise.

"Since when do demons abide by morals?"

I questioned. However, I paid no heed and continued to grasp the intricacies of the information.

As Logan grew older, he encountered immense hatred from his fellow clan members. After all, he was the ugliest demon in the sub-branch clan of Lust, a source of shame for the entire clan.

In his quest for revenge, Logan devised a plan to bring harm to the clan, and he executed it with great success.

By somehow capturing the most beautiful demoness from the clan and taking her purity, which was meant to be offered to the Lust clan, Logan incurred their wrath.

Unable to kill him, the clan banished him.

One thing led to another, and Logan found himself in the human world.

Spotted by adventurers, he was deemed only an <E >-rank demon, prompting some adventurers to hunt him down.

He sought refuge in the forest and plotted an ambush on a carriage scheduled to cross the bridge over the river and travel to the nearby town today.

This is the moment when Logan launched an attack on the carriage, accompanied by the wolf beasts he had tamed. However, everything took a turn for the worse as the couple fought back, and Logan found himself on the brink of death during the encounter.

"The previous owner of this body died... and now I somehow inhabit this body," I muttered. It was something I recognized from my time on Earth. They called it "transmigration" - when a person dies in their own world and is reborn in another world, occupying someone else's body.

"I remember those novels... and I believe I know what comes next," I said, attempting to focus on a specific idea. I strained to visualize it, for I needed some sort of advantage to survive in this world, something that would enable me to keep up with others and eventually surpass them.

I concentrated intensely, calling out to that something with different names, even trying various accents. "Great sage! Raphael! Alexa! Siri! Ok, Google! Friday! Ciel!" Yet, there was no response. I attempted to calm myself, but this demon's brain heightened my emotions. It hindered my ability to function effectively, refusing to respond in the manner I desired.

Then, suddenly, a realization struck me, and I proclaimed it aloud. "System." As if I were in an Iron Man movie, a strange noise resonated through my mind, and in the next moment, a seductive, silky female voice replied.

<System initiated...>

A beautiful smile adorned my face, although it would undoubtedly terrify anyone who beheld it.

<'Logan Wayne' has been granted the system...>

<The host, 'Logan Wayne,' has fulfilled the system's requirements...>

"..."

My smile grew wider.

<The host has been granted the 'Sin and Virtue System.'>

<May you succeed in your conquest, host.>

The announcement was followed by a burst of demonic laughter that reverberated throughout the entire forest.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA~"
