However, her brain had other plans. Flashes of images of a brunette danced across her mind.

Now she really wished she could have just let the pain envelope her and she could have died.

Groaning, she pushed herself back up onto her feet, as her arms clung to the cold counter top for better support. She noticed that the scrapes on her biceps were already mostly healed.

With an uneasy balance she made it to the elevator that was at the front of the 3rd floor. A light ding was the indication of the arrival of the elevator. She slumped against the wall and stared at her reflection that was bounced off the shiny doors while she waited for the descend.

With a quick inspection of her wings through the reflection she decided that they were ok to be pushed back in.

She grinded her teeth together while her wings folded in and pressed beneath the twitching muscles, while the clips of her wings scraped along the scarred tissue. However, with the remedy she just chugged still lingering in her system the pain wasn't as extreme as usual.

The elevator reached the first floor where the main living quarters are.

Quickly walking to her bedroom, she called out for her roommate.

"Dessi!"

There was no response.

"Dessi! I'm home!"

Again no response.

"I swear to God Dessi if you-"

"Jesus! Stop yelling! I'm just in the living room!" A female voice finally answered her back.

"I wouldn't have to keep yelling if you answered the first time!"

She arrived in the living room as she said that and spotted the familiar small figure sprawled out on the couch.

"Did you even do recon today?" She smirked at the small figure as she crossed her arms.

"As a matter of fact I did! And might I add you look like absolute shit Atanna" she smirked while she went to lick her paw.

"Damn you Dessi, we all can't have perfect fur all the time like you". Atanna turned around and began walking to her room again.

Dessi is not your typical black cat, she is so much more. One of the most captivating things about her was her stunning eyes. They were so dark blue, that they shined purple.

Dessi is what they call a familiar, her and Atanna were bonded for life.
