11 - Part E:

The gunners who are firing at the tower is being retaliated by Kana.

Pshooo* Pshooo* Ratatata* Bagoom* Pepepepew*

Suddenly, cracks are forming around the tower which means the first layer of the triple barrier is about to shatter.

I'm not really worried about that since there are two more layers of the barrier left.

What I'm worried about is Kana who's in the middle of a fire fight with four people from different direction.

If she makes a wrong move, she could get shot badly.

Now, what should I do in order to help Kana out?

If I get close to one of them and attack, the others will try to go up the tower and steal our flag.

If I stay here and do nothing, Kana will get exhausted.

I should at least take one of them out without getting close to them.

And how will I do that without a weapon?

While I was thinking, my body suddenly got wrapped around by a plasma particle rope.

I'm pretty sure that's the girl with the plasma whip who was unconscious inside the tower entrance.

While that thing is wrapped around me, my barrier's life gauge is being decrease by 1% per second.

This sucks!

When I try to move, the grip tightens and my barrier's life gauge decreases faster.

When I try using atomic synthesis to blow the plasma rope away, nothing happens.

I can't even use brainwave manipulation to free myself.

Kana could help me break free from this but she got her hands full right now.

Damn it!

28% is left my barrier's life gauge and 28 seconds to go before it's game over.

Can't I really do anything?

I know!

I concentrate and imagine combustible gases are compressed and shaped into a needle that is pointing at the girl behind me.

After that, I shake the molecules of the needle shaped combustible gas violently.

Boosh* Boom*

I successfully synthesize a fire bolt.

The plasma rope that was wrapped around my body disperses into the air which means I'm finally free.

I turn towards the girl with the plasma whip, and she's currently suffering from a dizzy spell while her weapon is lying on the ground.

The repairbot descends from the sky and carries her away.

I wonder, where who got their barrier shattered are being carried away to?

Now then! Time to help Kana out!

I try to synthesize multiple fire bolts and launch it towards the gunners.

Since I was not used to it, the fire bolts become unstable and end up exploding before their were even launched.

Boom*

Because of that, I got the attention of the gunners and they start firing at me.

Ratatata* Ratatata* Bagoom* Bagoom* Pshoo* Boom* Pshoo* Boom* Pepepepew*

Before their shots were able to reach me, I quickly synthesize a crystal wall around me to block them.

Crack* Pew* Pew* Pew* Bagoom*

Damn! I'm trap!

Chuchuchuchuw* Chuchuchuw*

I look up towards the tower which is behind me and saw countless pink particle beam being discharge at different directions.

Looks like Kana is trying her best to help me out.

They stop shooting at me and start shooting at Kana to retaliate.

Now's my chance!

I dispersed the crystal wall around me by separating the atoms.

Crumble*

As soon as I did that, the gunners starts firing at me again so I have to synthesize a crystal wall around me again.

Crack*

After I did that, they concentrated on shooting the tower.

Damn it!

If Lokki is only here with his "Super Duper Ultra Mega Flying Daggers of Doom" or Wren with her homing fire bolts, I would be able to get out of this sticky situation.

Shatter*

The first layer of the tower has finally shattered, but the gunners didn't stop there and continue shooting the tower.

Ratatata* Ratatata* Pshoo* Boom* Pshoo* Boom* Bagoom* Bagoom* Pepepew*

I look up again to see if Kana is retaliating but I don't see any pink particle beams.

I'm guessing she's trying to avoid getting shot like me.

I wish that the gunners continued shooting at each other like earlier.

I hope the others will hurry back with their flags so they will stop shooting at us.

While I was thinking on what to do, I noticed the gun shots had lessened.

Ratatata* Bagoom*

Soon after, all gun shots has stopped.

What the hell is happening?

Don't tell me the others have come back already?

"HEY LINEL! YOU CAN COME OUT!"

That voice...

That's Lokki!

I dispersed the crystal wall around me.

As I did, I saw the others smiling except for Wren while waving the enemies flag.

The one who are carrying the flags are the four morons.

The gunners had their hands up while their weapons are lying on the ground on front of them.

I sigh in relief and walk towards the others.

Kana climb down the tower and follow me in pursuit.

The others walk towards us as well.

As we are near each other face to face, I can't help but to express my thoughts.

"What took you guys so long?"

They all respond.

"Hey! It wasn't easy getting this you know!" (Lokki)

"Yeah! You should be grateful man! I got my ass shot for this." (Roc)

"You got your ass shot?? Bwahahahahaha!" (Maple)

"We ran into some trouble." (Ace)

"I'm sorry we took so long Linel." (Aeris)

"You miss me already my dear?" (Mathias)

"Sorry dude!" (Zack)

"Hmph!" (Wren)

I didn't notice earlier since I was far away, their all covered in dirt and smoke.

I'm guessing they all have a rough time as well.

"You guys look awful."

I said casually.

"Same goes for you two."

Ace points out.

I look at my hands and my suit.

It's cover with dirt and smoke as well.

I look and at Kana and she's the same like the rest of us.

I don't if it's my funny bone being tickled or all the smoke that I inhaled from the fight is messing with my brain, I feel like laughing.

So I laugh.

"Ha ha ha ha!"

The others did as well. (Except for Wren and Kana)

"Ha ha ha ha!"

"Hi hi hi hi!"

"He he he he!"

"Bwahahahahaha!"

After we had our laugh, I make a suggestion.

"Let's clean ourselves up shall we?"

The other agrees to my suggestion.

"Yeah! Let's!" (Lokki)

"Hell yeah!" (Roc)

"Yes!" (Aeris)

"Aye aye captain!" (Maple)

"I could use a shower right now!" (Ace)

"Let's bath together my dear." (Mathias)

"Obviously! Hmph!" (Wren)

"Yeah dude!" (Zack)

"Affirmative." (Kana)

After that, we drop the flags on the ground and head out to take a bath.

"HEY!"

"Aw! Don't leave us here!"

"Boss! Please help us!"

"Aeris... I can't feel my legs... Help..."
